I know it's a daily mail article but I can't help thinking. We only ever hear positive stories but the figures tell us this. I really hope the men and woman are getting the support they need from these complications. 🥺

Half of trans surgery patients suffer pain, sexual issues years later mol.im/a/11629421 via dailym.ai/android

'Buckets of 'breast tissue'',Shock. Fuck!

In my mind that is only an acceptable thing when the bucket has KFC written on the side.🐓

A prominent transwoman insists they have a cervix.

A prominent transman allegedly expressed surprise and disappointment at being unable to breastfeed after a double mastectomy.

Either these individuals did not have the full biological reality of their surgeries explained to them in advance, or they were of the mindset to not listen/understand.

In terms of medical ethics both scenarios are troubling and warrant scrutiny.

When you start looking into it all, really looking, and going beyond the huge great big safeguarding red flags where children are concerned, you start to see the inevitable links made with anything involving queer theory - which is very much at the root of this.

There are posters on Twitter logging the incredibly high rates of concerning behaviour that “never happens”, the advisors/people on positions of authority who have backgrounds that should bar them from ever being in the positions they are in.

It goes way beyond being screwed up to allow children to choose to be the opposite sex (even though they can’t), and beyond women’s single sex spaces, which of course is vitally important.

If you want to learn more look into queer theory, back to its roots. Look at what else QT followers advocate for.
There’s a very good reason that women are aggressively silenced and discredited, and it’s not because they’re wrong, and unquestioning fools don’t think beyond being progressive and inclusive.

The world has been allowed to become royally fucked over, and unless more people read the difficult stuff like this and stand up, who knows what we’re going to have to deal with in the future. Women’s rights are all but gone already.

Hi Polly, I get how you feel generally. There have been strenuous efforts on many platforms to stop us discussing these exact issues. I’m sure you are well on your way to working out why and who benefits.

The surgeon I mentioned was Christopher Inglefield and he was suspended for a month (which in doctor terms is apparently quite serious as it messes with their insurances). If you search his names and look at Images, the shirtless pics he used to use should come up. I think most of them have now been removed from his Insta.

I am also reminded of another London based surgeon specialising in trans surgery who sold merch promoting his services. He sold t shirts with double mastectomy scars as the design. I am quite shocked that marketing a huge elective surgical procedure in this way is legal but there seem to be a lot of free passes in this area. I think he might also have been the one posing for ‘funny’ Christmas photos holding two buckets of ‘breast tissue’ from surgery.

Quite horrifying really.

I think the may have been posted upthread, but jic. Please follow the link below to the MN petition board, sign and share this petition to clarify the Equality Act to keep single sex spaces, single sex not gender. Thank you.

TulipR is a Scottish de-transitioner who wrote about his experiences going through the process: but realised he was not trans, but a gay man who needed therapy to cope with ocd, not surgery.

*My pelvis is behaving as if it’s been impaled, constantly trying to heal, constantly confused with what to do with the nerves. My urethra goes through cycles of constriction, meaning every 2 years I need surgery to open it again.

Dismiss me if you like, and put it down to ‘poor surgical outcomes’, but it’s not - I got lucky if you can believe it, I can climax, but there is nothing but numbness in the outer groin, I have tried prodding with clean knives and needles to see if I feel anything, but it’s just not there, there are isolated patches of nerve connectivity too where i can, but its mostly numb. This is not rare.*

Tell all your friends about this forum. Post them links. When anyone mentions any concerns about what's happening, send them here to read the Break It Down For Me thread here:

www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/3145470-Break-it-down-for-me

Which is several years old and just keeps growing as new information and stories keep coming. My question to you is how you managed to avoid this subject for so long and what else has been slipped past you without you realising? I've started reading the news very much more carefully than I ever did in the past.

Indeed. Some of us have known about this stuff for nearly a decade and been called liars, bigots and transphobic repeatedly for trying to get it out there. I’m glad to see people are becoming aware but I can’t help but feel jaded.

You should see what they did to the one forum that collated most of the stuff that would be deleted on here if we even hint at it.

They said Mumsnet was next, that's how determined they are to keep alot of info that we are not allowed to discuss on here, off the books so to speak.

As I said, it's like a cartel.

Polly, when you have a bit of time, make yourself a coffee and read the thread pattihews linked.

TheKeatingFive · 19/01/2023 12:01

It has been very heartening to see more of these threads stay up in AIBU. Long may that continue.

You ask what is the point of hiding this topic away? Well, I could make a suggestion but I would be deleted.

porridgecake · 19/01/2023 11:52

I agree with you Polly.
Unfortunately it is rare for a thread on this topic to remain anywhere on the main boards for long. There is usually almighty uproar from certain quarters with demands for MN to move the thread immediately to the FWR section. MNHQ usually capitulate instantly.

I started to post earlier but internet disappeared.
I am glad to see that there are people on this thread who were previously unaware of exactly what has been going on.
It really makes it clear why MN was under so much pressure to corral all discussion onto the specially created "FWR Sex and Gender Discussions" section.
I hope many more people will visit that section now.

TheKeatingFive · 19/01/2023 11:16

I don't get this at all. Is the Hippocratic oath no longer a thing?

Cherry60 · 19/01/2023 11:02

Why anyone is allowed to perform these grotesque quack surgeries, on clearly vulnerable people, is beyond me. They should all be struck off.

@AlisonDonut , the dark side has the hill we are all going to make our stand on.

RichardBarrister · 19/01/2023 09:55

Sorry cross post @TheKeatingFive - it astounds me every day that this unbelievable behaviour is accepted by so many and people that raise concerns are told to shut up and leave it alone.
