It's a large one, although I would say it's not that large really. I'm a size 12, and it probably fits me quite well.

I'm happy to post it to the first person to comment that they'd like it on the thread 🙂.

Well wasn't that nice.

Uh

BINGO?

You're missing Karen/TERF/cis.

But you've got at least a line, I think.

I’m loving the big smile after the string of silly insults!

I was trying to do that with my post on here 😄🙈.

I name changed because I feel a bit paranoid about even posting in FWR now, but that then made other posters (justifiably) suspicious of me.

Why are you so scared? I handed out Women's Rights Network leaflets before Christmas outside three local M&S and got nothing but positive feedback. I also went inside and tucked leaflets into the knickers of the mannequins on display and got a thumbs-up from one of the staff who approached in an angry way, then picked up the leaflet, read it and tucked it back on display in the knickers.

Things are changing. All over the country women are holding events to talk about this issue. More and more people are openly discussing it. It's been discussed over a million Christmas dinner tables, thanks to Nicola Sturgeon. Now is the time to wear your t-shirt and come out so that you encourage others.

I'll cut some slack for those people working in very visible NHS or education roles, but I'm getting a bit fed-up of ordinary women complaining that it's too dangerous to say or do anything. I'm out there saying and doing it and the worst I've had is pursed lips and 'I don't agree with you.' What do you think someone who disagrees with you will do to you in M&S?

It’s almost like they’ve got a checklist

ArabellaScott · 03/01/2023 09:34

OP, gift it to a charity shop and spread the joy while also raising money for a good cause. Smile

Start small, use an ADULT HUMAN FEMALE shopping bag. I took it to Cardiff just before Christmas and there was a fella on the train glaring at me 😄

You're embarrassed? You should be deeply ashamed of yourself for throwing vulnerable women and girls under the bus for and ideology that benefits mostly middle aged white males and puts children on a life long medical pathway. But you're embarrassed by a T-shirt? Disgusting.

Preferably one that doesn’t state any fa to because facts are, like, literal violence

I have just realised I got the slogan on Glinner's t shirt wrong.

It didn't say TWAW, it said TWAM!!

of course. But notice how indoctrinated even I am to spout TWAW....

teawamutu · 03/01/2023 08:22

I felt the same - my AHF hoodie sat in the cupboard for weeks before I was brave enough to venture out in it.

I was genuinely scared, but the only thing that happened was I was warm in a nice hoodie.

The only reaction I've ever had is people (women) saying they love it.

And I have quite the collection of grumpy feminist clothing now. I make a point of wearing them because, as a PP said, when you're scared of wearing a fucking JUMPER, things are bad. Not having it.

Boiledbeetle · 03/01/2023 07:24

I used to have a fantastic t shirt with "some people are gay get over it t shirt". What happened Stonewall? What happened??? Now it would read " we trans away the gay get used to it"

But yeah OP. Keep yours wear it even if it only whilst your doing the diy as a reminder of the fight.

FrangipaniBlue · 03/01/2023 00:55

When I was on holiday in the US recently I saw a girl wearing a t-shirt with "he who hath no uterus hath no opinion. Fallopians 20:22"

I almost tapped her on the shoulder and gave her a fist bump 😂

DogsAkimbo · 03/01/2023 00:48

Says something though, doesn’t it, that it’s a brave statement to wear a tshirt with just that on it. I wonder if they might end up as museum pieces one day, if global warming doesn’t get us first! We should definitely put one in a time capsule!

I have a couple of beautiful Birdy Rose t shirts that are less obvious but I am still a bit wary about wearing them too blatantly - I did wear the No Thank You one when I went to The mess we're in live show!!! And birdy Rose was there!!!!

And at the show, Graham Linehan had some tee shirts which just had TWAW on them, he threw them into the audience - I got one and I wear it to bed.

Oooh, I got one for Christmas and live near Glasgow so will definitely wear it to the LWS event.
I'm planning on wearing it out of my small town, not brave enough for that yet.

WooMeOut · 02/01/2023 22:43

I'll take it :)

@TheSameThingWeDoEveryDay

your first request!!

set it free to someone who will wear it!!

SkylightSkylight · 03/01/2023 00:35

RewildingAmbridge · 03/01/2023 00:31

I have one that says
my pronouns are sex based, like my oppression.

I wear it as pyjamas mainly but sometimes under a jumper at work (Contractually I am not allowed to be political 🙄).
One day I'll wear it to Tesco

@RewildingAmbridge oh I like that!!

FemaleAndLearning · 03/01/2023 00:18

Once you've worn it to go to Aldi or Tesco it gets easier. I've worn mine to the GP and to walk around my town. The best place to feel confident to wear it is at one of the Let Women Speak events!
I can't find the dates but I know Glasgow is weekend of 4/5th Feb 2023. Hyde Park, London is every last Sunday of the month.
