Model response to a dilemma for women in the left-right storm (really?)

So not satisfied with appropriating the work, ideas and campaigning of one woman and many active supporters, some complete set of nobody film makers have taken it upon themselves to school us silly air heads on how to behave and who to talk to.

Leaving aside the smug condescension of believing the have the right to tell us how to behave, this is a perfect example of where complete nobodies who exploit other people to further their own media career, then assume they are as politically relevant and analytically acute as actual activists.

kaygreen.blog/2022/12/31/model-response-to-a-dilemma-for-women-in-the-left-right-storm/

This is the problem with the media at the moment, presenters and film makers who are just the vehicle to get voices and ideas heard, then think they are entitled to become the spokes person.

Apart from anything else, did these nupties even think maybe we should ask those who the film was actually about. I know they would, having been hand selected as the appropriately politically aligned voices, also refused, but even within the unethical world of these self promoters, do they really think they take precedence.

But it does gives us a clear idea of their moral compass and how they felt able to bandwagon of others work and go to extreme lengths to make sure they are never referred to or acknowledged.

Oh god, I feel that link with all the screenshots and no sources about KJK might be posted soon.

As for cherry picking, Bug you couldn't even be bothered to fact check yours.

You mean the sin list? Is it still up?

@Helleofabore
Bit sexist to exclude men from the list of GC activists….one would almost think you were cherry picking. 🍒

No. Not at all.

Women’s voices need to be amplified. This film is the majority women’s voices. Wonderful women’s voices.

I assume the female film maker would go on.

I am pointing out that there doesn’t seem to be any ‘over done’ aspect of this. You want more women’s voices heard, I want more women’s voices heard.

Including male voices is counter productive. Particularly if you have pulled the governor from
the list.

I think any rhetoric saying that Tucker Carlson has been ‘done’ is not really an honest take.

I googled Jason Whitlock

what makes you think he’s gender critical?

I can’t find any instances of him critiquing gender

I think he’s pretty clear that men can never be women, but those aren’t the same thing fyi

Don’t forget KJKs wavering on abortion as well. She’s made some statements along the lines of “setting aside the right to a legal abortion” is worth getting laws passed banning transgender ideology.

Ok! Excellent. Let’s take her from
the list.

So that is 8 feminists.

Any more to add though? Feminists - discussing the conflicts with the protections for women and girls.

And you know, Riley might have had little other choice in who to support as a candidate. I can imagine that finding a candidate to support that aligns with all your ideals can be very hard at local level. But you do you with you absolutist purity.

She still voted for and worked for a pro-life Senator. She had a choice. We all do. She is pro-life in action.

I have just proven your earlier accusation was groundless nonsense:

I would ask what my alleged earlier nonsense accusation was, but cousin Germaine is texting me and I need to attend to her.

the reality is that appearing as one of his talking heads puts you in a group with some less than ideal activists who are other than GC, working against womens rights.

Yes, as I said in my previous post, you claim that accepting TC’s platform makes a woman responsible for (“puts you in a group with”) other guests with whom she is not affiliated. I disagree. Many posters here disagree. I think that’s about all that can be said on the topic.

I would ask what my alleged earlier nonsense accusation was. You know what it was because I conveniently quoted it for you right there.

Yes, as I said in my previous post, you claim that accepting TC’s platform makes a woman responsible for (“puts you in a group with”) other guests with whom she is not affiliated.

No, I have made no such claim. Given the above, I don’t think you know what ‘responsible for’ means if you think that being associated with others = you’re responsible for them.

That is a ridiculous accusation to make. I worked on my school PTO, am I now “responsible for” another school mum having an affair and setting up an onlyfans account? Well no, I wouldn’t be. But i would he associated with her as we are on the PTO together.

But of course, that would insult your intelligence, you know that “associated with” doesn’t equal “responsible for” and so you’re going down the route of insult my intelligence and every other poster on here tbf. As we all know those have very different meanings.

@Helleofabore
You have to be joking Kristi Noem is no feminist. As governor of South Dakota she has VETO authority over any bills, including the bill which banned abortion in her state. Here she is defending that under her bill even a pregnant 10yr old impregnated by rape would he forced to birth the baby:

This is the larger picture many of us are talking about. US audiences are not just getting the GC message from KJK and KD, they have similar messages coming from less palatable messengers on the exact same show.

Well it's a good job that women rights campaigners go on it then. Gives a counter viewpoint.

TC doesn’t allow anyone to express any pro-choice views in his shows.

I am in the US, Flo, and am an American who used to live in the UK, which is how I found Mumsnet, for which I am forever grateful.

Well, there’s that U.K. centric bubble showing.

KJK and KD are not the only GC activists to go on TC’s show. They may be the only U.K. ones, but

??? Kara Dansky is American, too.

Honestly I think you’re talking nonsense now, Bug. You imply that every woman who accepts Tucker’s platform is responsible for whatever any other guest says. Horse apples.

You imply that every woman who accepts Tucker’s platform is responsible for whatever any other guest says.

I haven’t implied that. You’re just making up a new accusation since I have just proven your earlier accusation was groundless nonsense:

I find your statement that opposition to abortion is the "bait on the hook" from Fox News-refusers (and by implication that those who have appeared on Fox News have wavered on their opposition to abortion) extremely disingenuous.

FALSE. Not only have many “wavered” many are avidly pro-life. That is a FACT.

I can add Riley Gaines to the company of Jason Whitlock if you want a female GC activist. U of Kentucky swimmer campaigned against transgender athlete in sports, spoke at a Trump rally (dodged a kiss), and then worked for & voted for Senator Paul Rand….who ran on an anti-abortion ballot.

This goes along with my saying TC’s viewers have got the message. He has done tons of interviews on the transgender issue from a GC stance. These film-makers are not passing up any opportunity to spread the message by declining TC. and I don’t blame them because you can hate it, but the reality is that appearing as one of his talking heads puts you in a group with some less than ideal activists who are other than GC, working against womens rights. Viewers do absolutely make associations in their minds.

Helleofabore · 04/01/2023 18:31

And I am limiting my search to feminists.

After all, aren’t we talking about like for like? Feminists discussing pro-women issues where another groups are in conflict?

Helleofabore · 04/01/2023 18:26

By the way - Megan is Canadian, Christina Ellingham is Norwegian and Kellie is English. The others on my list are from USA.

Helleofabore · 04/01/2023 18:25

TheWitchesAreBackInTown · 04/01/2023 17:36

Well that’s just it Tucker Carlson has already had right aligning GC activists on his show numerous times.

KJK is a pragmatist. You know, the house is on fire analogy. Kara Dansky is a Democrat. Also pragmatic.

Film makers have said they are not interested in the USA so I would not be expecting them to be looking to promote the film there.

I did a quick search. These were the “feminists” I could find.

Meghan Murphy 4/12/19

Govenor Kristi Noem 23/3/21 on sports bill

Kara Dansky 8/12/21 and again 24/1/22 and 19/4/22 (this last one was women in prison)

Kellie Jay Keen 23/5/22

Christina Ellingston 16/7/22 (free speech )

Riley Gaines (sports) 27/7/22

Jeanna Hoch 16/11/22 (protests)

9 spots over the past 2 years….

Very happy if people can add to the list. Because I would hope there is many more than nine occasions that Tucker has had feminists on to speak about pro women issues.

I note that some of these are short segments.

Can anyone add to this list? Because I have seen several times that feminists have effectively ‘ticked off this audience and should move to another to spread the awareness ’. So I must be missing something.

ResisterRex · 04/01/2023 18:18

I'm glad you said that about Kara, @GrinitchSpinach!! I thought I was going mad, and was just about to check she was also from the States.

I find your statement that opposition to abortion is the "bait on the hook" from Fox News-refusers (and by implication that those who have appeared on Fox News have wavered on their opposition to abortion) extremely disingenuous. Kara Dansky is president of the US chapter of Women's Declaration International. Article 3 of the Declaration affirms women's right to "unhindered access" to abortion.

Well, there’s that U.K. centric bubble showing.

KJK and KD are not the only GC activists to go on TC’s show. They may be the only U.K. ones, but you are not considering the constant revolving door of US GC activists…who are majority Religious right and are avidly pro-life.

Take for example Jason Whitlock who has gone on TCs show regarding transgender ideology and called it “Satanism”. He has also gone on TCs show regarding abortion and said pro-abortion activists have “shown their wickedness and their evilness and their hostility towards God"

This is the larger picture many of us are talking about. US audiences are not just getting the GC message from KJK and KD, they have similar messages coming from less palatable messengers on the exact same show.

GrinitchSpinach · 04/01/2023 18:06

Agh, “opposition to abortion” should read “support FOR abortion” in previous. Writing too fast!

GrinitchSpinach · 04/01/2023 17:51

Yes, lechiffre. I have listened to only a few Joe Rogan interviews, but Davies was one of them and he was incredibly compelling.

Well that’s just it Tucker Carlson has already had right aligning GC activists on his show numerous times. It’s fair to say that his viewers already know the issues.

I dispute the assertion that appearing on Fox News makes a woman "right-aligning," but we've been over that again and again on this and previous threads.

The part of this comment that I would like to address is to point out that many of Carlson's viewers do NOT yet know all the issues.

When Kara Dansky has appeared on his show, she has made the point several times that in her (and colleagues') discussions with Republican lawmakers and conservative women activists, these "right-aligned" people will still use the language of the gender identity movement.

Dansky goes on TC's show in part to persuade GOP legislators and policymakers that there is no need to adopt language intended to support the creation of a nebulous protected legal class of people who self-declare a "gender identity."

By declining, they are leaving a door open for the opportunity to spread the message to the left wing. And the bait on that hook is their statement saying they are all very pro choice on abortion and other issues near and dear to the US left wing.

I've yet to see a major left-wing media outlet interview any of the US feminists who have refused steadfastly to speak in right-wing outlets. Maybe it will happen in the future, but they have been waiting a very long time already...
