Police investigate 'flasher' gender recognition reform protester

While critics shouted “shame on you” at the MSPs. One woman lifted their skirt and showed what initially appeared to be her genitals.

The woman shouted, “if you are not going to be decent, I am going to be indecent.”

However, it later transpired that she had been wearing some form of fake pubic wig.

According to the Scotsman, police did not arrest the individual immediately, however, the force has since received complaints and enquiries are ongoing.

I really hope they don’t. We have a huge number of serious issues that we need addressed at the moment. A narc with a fake Fanny is helping no one. Why doesn’t she join the other side - they like exposing themselves and looking like nutters in public.

I don't think "if you look closely, what I flashed wasn't actually my genitals, but rather fake genitals I constructed, and was referring to as genitals" is a good defence against flashing, nor a good precedent to set.

Whatever you think of what she did, it doesn't fulfil the actus reus of the offence, which is flashing genitals. Maybe she did intend to cause offence, but having the mens rea without the actual act of showing her genitals doesn't fit the description of the crime.

There may be some form of public disorder offence they'll decide upon instead though, I suppose, if they're determined to punish.

In men, yes but female sex offenders have different patterns of offending and motivations. Although I'm happy to consider evidence which supports your assertion.
