love her, or hate her, we need her…and not a moment too soon.

Not political, biological realist.

Yep! Come on here to say the very same thing! Biology isn’t ideology.

Anyway, back to the subject of the thread.

I'm glad she's back on Twitter. I don't even really watch her videos but I absolutely love how she winds people up. The people that hate her give her more publicity than anyone else. They just can't help themselves.

I think she’s going to be seriously hurt at some point. She’s too powerful/intelligent/relatable for TRAs to handle intellectually.

TheBiologyStupid · 22/12/2022 13:51

Onnabugeisha · 22/12/2022 10:34

I think there should be a politics talk topic, with GC under there as it is a political movement. 🤷‍♀️

Not political, biological realist.

EdithStourton · 22/12/2022 13:35

I always love the way in which certain posters accuse GC feminists of 'aligning with the Far Right' when most of us (on this board anyway) appear to be politically from the centre to the Left, and are raging that we've been abandoned by those we hoped would speak for us.

Looking at you, Labour, LibDems and the Grauniad.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 22/12/2022 13:25

As this thread is so regularly bumped, here's KJK herself talking about "guilt by association" & the reality of many of the allegations made against her. It's a good listen (& always worth listening to the woman herself rather than her haters). :

Grin that's hilarious. <Carly.Simon.gif>

SantaCarlaCalifornia · 22/12/2022 13:21

Funnily enough, not everything is about you.

Onnabugeisha · 22/12/2022 13:01

Ereshkigalangcleg · 22/12/2022 12:55

I love the fact that some of the whining posters who pop up on here whenever KJK is mentioned hang out obsessively on the Royal Family board

Yes I saw that too! They seem to be notorious there as well.

You can’t be talking about me. Posting on 4 threads in 6 months is hardly ‘obsessive’

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 22/12/2022 12:58

I'd never spent much time on the Royal Family board, but I've become rather interested in the whole Megan / Harry shit show.

Also the jewellery. Seriously. there are some amazing blogs and while it's obscene that jewellery of that opulence even exists, it's

  1. beautiful
  2. generally has an amazing history

highly recommended for an evening's rabbit holing

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 22/12/2022 12:55

and the count down to the weird obsessive coercive controllers who like to monitor this board trying to get threads moved to the 'Politics' deadzone kick off in 3, 2, 1...

I was pretty pissed off about the splitting of FWR, but I thought at least all these people who can't start a none gender related thread in FWR for fear of FWR regulars commenting on it from a feminist (aka gender critical) perspective will have somewhere to go. It might make for some interesting threads

it didn't

just another example of 'If I can't have it no-one can' type behaviour

FlirtsWithRhinos · 22/12/2022 12:53

And no, genderist ideology does not have "definitions" for these words. It has recursive statements like "anyone who identifies as a woman" or "whether you identity as a man, a woman or neither" which loop infinitely around the lack of definition at the centre with no resolution.

The only way to break the loop is to either tie it back eventually to physical sex and the fact that fundamentally we all know what a woman is really, or tie it to the gender stereotypes which have historically been assigned to female people. Both of those require a second definition of woman which is the actual, foundational definition without which the first cannot exist.

The reason genderists avoid giving them, trapping themselves in the never ending loop, is because neither foundation justifies the demand to treat trans women as if they were female. The first because to identify as a thing is not to be the thing and is therefore not a justification to be treated as if you were, and the second because it pops femaleness out of womanhood entirely, begging the question why should alignment with gender stereotypes be used as a justification to appropriate anything to do with sex.

AlisonDonut · 22/12/2022 12:51

It really is joyous that we have somewhere else to direct the people critical of Posie that continue their campaign in places where she cannot respond.

So feel free to pop on over to You Tube or now, Twitter and give her a piece of your mind.

Onnabugeisha · 22/12/2022 12:20

There are actually definitions for all those, the clash is on ideological disagreement as to definitions. You have your own definitions, and society’s status quo has different definitions.

Ah, like "woman"? Which has had a well established status quo for hundreds of years (in English) and millenia (in human languages as a whole)? A definition upon which our existing women's rights were made and rest, and which therefore to redefine now is to wrongly appropriate women's rights for a group to whom they were never intended for?

I assume based on your reply you stand with women (in the original adult human female meaning of the word) in defending the commonly understood meaning of our name and the rights it unlocks?

@Onnabugeisha , you secret "GC" you! Welcome aboard! 😁

Hilarious. You don’t think feminism as a whole is ‘political’?

If you don’t want to discuss the prioritisation of sex over gender, just stop posting on this board and post on the other one.

This is really getting into dishonest territory again.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 22/12/2022 12:22

Onnabugeisha · 22/12/2022 12:16

Thank you. @MNHQ can politics be moved out of other stuff and made it’s own header so it will show up when I click on talk topics? I had no idea it even existed! And couldn’t find it even though I looked for it….

I'm loving the random instructions to MNHQ (who don't get notifications when that tag is used)

I mean we know this poster loves tossing out demands, but it's quite entertaining to see them doing it to other people!

Onnabugeisha · 22/12/2022 12:20

FlirtsWithRhinos · 22/12/2022 12:14

Gosh, isn't it funny how genderists think.it matters what some words mean, yet cannot ever define the three (gender, man and woman) that are fundamental to their ideology?

There are actually definitions for all those, the clash is on ideological disagreement as to definitions. You have your own definitions, and society’s status quo has different definitions.

FlirtsWithRhinos · 22/12/2022 12:18

Onnabugeisha · 22/12/2022 12:00

@FlirtsWithRhinos
because you are expecting to find leaders where in fact there are none.

No, I’m not looking for leaders as political resistance movements can be centralised or decentralised in terms of leadership. In fact, resistance movements usually are decentralised and do not have key leaders or a single leader. It’s usually when a country gets to full on revolution or a coup that key leaders or a single leader emerges.

So if you aren't looking for leaders, why do you put your energy into demonising individuals based on their (alleged) associations instead of the substance of the resistance?

Your Talk menu is showing you the Talk groupings, not an exhaustive list of talk topics. Politics is under the group called Other Stuff.

It's almost like "the personal is political" was never said....

I bet you'd love to hide Feminism away under the tumbleweed topic of Politics, @Onnabugeisha but it's got nothing to do with any librarian tendencies.

FlirtsWithRhinos · 22/12/2022 12:14

Onnabugeisha · 22/12/2022 11:56

is not a political movement, it is a political resistance

Political resistance is a type of political movement. 🧐

This is ace thanks. So it really does mean that Posie's new political party can be genuinely called a political party in resistance to an ideology.

So helpful.

Yes exactly. Resistance is a political movement.
