The "organisation" which has replaced "Steph's Place" has big news and there just isn't enough popcorn in the world:

Worth watching / following this twitter account run by someone doing an msc in neuroscience. Sam, extremely anti gender ideology, is very much looking forward to tearing the paper apart!

Why the hell schedule it for 5pm on a Friday?

TinselAngel · 12/12/2022 12:53

I wonder if Steph is reflecting on the maxim that there's no such thing as bad publicity?

What a surprise that TRAs are opposed to something even if it gives transness a medical grounding.

WarriorN · 12/12/2022 12:29

Woven Rainbows?

Their dna is made of shifting sands .

Strands.

Will no one think of the poor gender fluid and nonbinary folk?

BedTaker · 12/12/2022 12:12

With all the talk of 'testing', I'm imagining like a 'trans' lateral flow test, where you swill a swab around your tonsils and nostrils and then within a few minutes it will tell you 'trans' or 'cis'!

Science is amazing isn't it?! Grin

Tweet Completely ratioed by Jo Bartosch

Helleofabore · 12/12/2022 11:20

Do we think that twitter will break after 5pm Friday 16th December?

KatMcBundleFace · 12/12/2022 11:08

Datun! Stop spoiling the surprise! 🤣

Datun · 12/12/2022 10:50

As far as I remember, one of the studies concluded that people who say they are trans are unusually self-obsessed. Obsession with their own bodies is off the scale. And much like the elasticity of the brain of taxi drivers, it shows up.

I wonder if that's it 😄

Birdsweepsin · 12/12/2022 10:48

TRA Twitter now not sure what to do if/when a cohort of TERFs suddenly get diagnosed as trans.... this is such a fascinating moment in the evolution of Trans theology

KatMcBundleFace · 12/12/2022 10:39

Not having gender dysphoria is now a "biological condition"

🤣

Doctor, doctor, I know the NHS is overwhelmed but, but, I DON'T BELIEVE MY SOUL IS THE OPPOSITE SEX! Can you help with my biological condition?

NecessaryScene · 12/12/2022 10:25

Maybe we'll be able to identify people at birth as trans. In which case they won't be trans any more, by the definition of trans, and they will disappear in a puff of logic.

So Stephanie's plotting trans genocide?

SamphiretheTervosaurReturneth · 12/12/2022 10:21

Oh! Joy of joys!

I won't be as erudite as Emma but I am so looking forward to seeing just how little actual science is included in that article.

CD release indeed 😅

oh... please, please, put it through sensitivity readers so it is safe ...

KatMcBundleFace · 12/12/2022 10:12

Another favourite from the comment section.

"Has this been peer reviewed by trans people"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

KatMcBundleFace · 12/12/2022 10:10

NEWS JUST OUT FROM PLANET EARTH.
"Biology is material reality for each and every one of us"

But, but, what about gendered souls? The bigotry is astonishing.

Birdsweepsin · 12/12/2022 10:09

"Next Friday at approximately 5:00 pm we will be publishing a groundbreaking article (written by a research scientist) that demonstrates that being trans is a biological condition."

So. Is it like being albino, congenital? Or bio-behavioural, like developing a lung disease by working in an asbestos environment?

If the first, then there's nothing anyone can do about it and a certain %ge, no more no less, of the population are or have ever been trans.

If the latter then there are steps we can take to increase or decrease our likelihood of developing transiness.

KatMcBundleFace · 12/12/2022 10:08

Oh my GOD Tinsel, thank you for this gift. There's so much popcorn in the comments. All the British TRAs are out in force. The American animee gang are just waking up shrieking GATEKEEPERS!!!

Big shout out to Pascoe, the old Master of the Hunt who's own "special research" has revealed "invisible sex characteristics" 🤣🤣🤣

"our biologies are uniquely different with a set of invisible and visible sex characteristics which are either aligned or not with our gender."

What I'll never get over is how people like this ever got near power.

What if you have a positive test but you don’t identify as trans?
Will you be forced to change your pronouns?
And undergo conversion therapy?
