Women protesting in front of Alameda County Courthouse attacked!

This seems to be the new norm.

A pie in the face and destruction of signs. And it looks like the bike might have bumped into the person taking the video on the way through to snatch the sign.

And it looks like it was only one or two people attacking them in a quick 'snatch and grab' action. But their violence was clear.

For those without twitter. The tweets accompanying the video is:

BREAKING: Women with WDI_USA were just attacked by black-clad trans activists in California.

The women were confronted and had a sign stolen while peacefully demonstrating against the placement of males in female prisons.

Police have been contacted.

The women had gathered outside of the Alameda County Courthouse in response to the trial of Dana Rivers, a prominent trans activist who was recently convicted in the murder of a family.

Rivers may be placed in a women's prison.

Thank you to all the brave women who protest in front of these prisons and court houses to protect female inmates. I am sorry that these women have been attacked. Obviously for using words that cause hurt feelings in this case.

"It's not acceptable, but... " isn't a genuine expression of thinking it's not acceptable. It's like those crap mealy mouthed apologies where people say "I'm sorry if you were offended". It's insincere. You can try to hide it but your anger at women with opinions different to yours is palpable.

Onnabugeisha · 06/12/2022 22:36

You’re deliberately taking my post out of context.

I said it’s not acceptable, but given the way protests in the USA can and have gone down, I think it’s pretty tone deaf to imply what happened is some new escalation of violence when it is clearly a significant de-escalation of violence.

I dont know if you have seen Antifa in action before? Usually they’re not coming at you with cream pies and eggs. Usually it’s bricks and glass bottles.

It’s not wrong to point out these women were actually quite lucky. It could have been much worse.

RoseslnTheHospital · 06/12/2022 22:22

Could you be any more open about your glee at seeing women attacked for peacefully protesting @Onnabugeisha?? Blimey.

ArabellaScott · 06/12/2022 22:12

Assaults on women are 'heartening to see'? Good lord.

Onnabugeisha · 06/12/2022 22:05

Helleofabore · 06/12/2022 19:23

Are we to just accept that then? Just accept that any woman who protests is likely to be assaulted?

No, it’s not acceptable but it’s a bit tone deaf to say

“It is such a concern that these events are encountering violent males every time now.” Along with “This seems to be the new norm. A pie in the face and destruction of signs.“

When you look at the USA and protests that this “new norm” is actually much less violent than in the recent past and of such insignificance compared to the murderous violence that quite a few peaceful BLM protesters have faced in recent years.

If it’s a “new norm” for the USA it is actually quite heartening to see compared to killed by gun violence, death by vehicle, water cannons and tear gas. 🤷‍♀️

Helleofabore · 06/12/2022 19:38

Well onnabug considering we had quite a number (were you one of them?) of posters on the Tacoma thread stating that pies and silly string were not acts of violence or that those acts were dismissed because the women were singing, chanting and yelling mean things, I guess it is not just the USA, is it? I assume that the large % of those posters were based here in the UK.

Indeed at least one of them continued on the Hyde Park thread and declared having an unknown substance sprayed in women's faces was not an act of violence either.

Ah the age old message of misogyny and abusive men.

Look what you made me do?

If you didn't ask for it, I wouldn't have to batter the crap out of you like an unevolved chimp whose masculinity is bit wobbly.

ArabellaScott · 06/12/2022 19:28

Women who are assaulted should be grateful it wasn't more violent, I think.

Protests in the USA are not as peaceful and law abiding as ones in the U.K. The risks are much higher.

A pie in the face, eggs being thrown, signs snatched are not “going too far” or considered “violence” in a country where other protesters are regularly shot with rubber bullets and some are even shot and killed with real bullets or killed by being rammed by a car or SUV (yes I’m talking about even since 2020, not in the bad old days).

No one calls out anything unless there is actual serious injury or death at a US protest.

Of course crickets are chirping.

Helleofabore · 06/12/2022 17:12

It is such a concern that these events are encountering violent males every time now.

It is such a concern that these people - of both sexes, feel that their assaults and intimidation are fully justified and that they are righteous.

No reasonable person would ever think these responses are proportionate. And yet, I don't see any lobby groups calling this behaviour out. Even on UK soil - there are no UK lobby groups saying.. ... actually ' these protests are going too far and we don't condone this violence'. There is nothing.

Crickets are chirping loudly.

All I can think of now is

Georgie porgie pudding and pie
kissed the girls and made them cry

It's that bloody childish. But yes, they're being taught that men can do anything they like to women in the name of this religion and half will cheer them on and the other half will mutter that it's complicated.

NitroNine · 06/12/2022 16:59

I can’t help but suspect the “someone” who allegedly noted afterwards that a few of the TERFs were crying about their banner(s) being snatched, poetically remarking “TERF tears water the garden of the resistance” is in fact the person tooting about (truly, that’s the operative verb) & they’re hoping everyone will fall over themselves to declare them an artistic genius whose command of the English language would make Shakespeare herself look, there was a lot of frock-wearing & an earring jealous.

Making an absolute unholy show of themselves & then they’re after showing off about it. I hope they get caught & prosecuted for assault the lot of them. Be astonished if this lot aren’t all overprivileged white lads who are mysteriously Teflon even if caught; but wouldn’t it be nice to be wrong? They clearly think they’re untouchable - & that’s only going to end in tragedy.

Helleofabore · 06/12/2022 16:28

Not sure why my post was deleted. I was posting the text from an extremist's point of view of the attacks.....

I wonder who didn't like that post from another social media platform typed out for all to see, I wonder???

twitter.com/StandingforXX/status/1599876259562934273?s=20&t=HwGV9dQX_xX5EBE2UctHhw

Still, the post is in this tweet to get an alternative view point.

According to this poster on another social platform where these screen shots were taken, there were 20 activists (referred to as trans rights activists) and it mentions their plan.

I obviously cannot type out the post on here as someone reported it.

They will raise this to actual violence, they're just getting their confidence up and proving that you can do what the fuck you like to women in the name of this agenda and there's no consequences.

Link this to the head teacher whose main concern when a female child in his care was raped, was to protect the male rapist.

This is out of control and it unfortunately is going to get worse, however this will lead to the atrocity that tips the general public over the edge. This is going to end in an unholy mess due to the total lack of spine and sense in the government and police world wide.

LipstickAlley have some information on the “yes, this is indeed a blatant display of racism” aspect of things; plus some more on how porn-addled the perpetrator is. They also said that apparently DR has gone the Weinstein “I’m totes a frail cripple!” route - but with a wheelchair, not a walker. Not going to work to disguise the not-merely-male-but-linebacker build & 0 points for trying. Or possibly minus INFINITY points AND actually needing to use a wheelchair for the rest of your life AND never having a decent chair. (Apparently the rules re: disabled prisoners in California still aren’t being followed twenty years on from that ruling so…)

I fear DR will be placed in a women’s prison if their insanity LARP doesn’t pan out: the State of California decided in April a paedophile who molested a 4-year-old girl belonged in the California Institution for Women despite their having been denied a gender and name change, and thus still legally being a male.

I hope the women who were assaulted are ok: those shitehawks could seriously injure or even kill someone with their idiocy. It’s not just wee grannies who’ve poor enough bone density they’d break a hip [& not recover] if they were knocked down - & in the US, obviously they’d be having to either pay for their care or deal with MedicAid/MediCare (depending on age etc). If they used whipped cream not shaving cream & someone has a serious allergy? EpiPens are not magic; & you’ve people trying more & more to eke them out because they’re so insanely expensive. Then if they decide to risk not calling an ambulance &/or going to the ER (because again, $$$$) & have a rebound reaction. Of course, they’re doubtless still on their parents’ insurance & they are selfish & entitled, so 🤦‍♀️

Violent males being violent in support of a violent male. It’s touching, really, that they’ve found a community. It’s just a pity it’s one that’s misogynistic, homophobic, & actually literally violent. Could they not be persuaded they’d like to save the polar bears or the rainforests or something useful instead? Crocheting jumpers for penguins & making sleeping bags for displaced bats. That sort of thing. Helping the genuinely vulnerable. Even TERFy bonobos should the need arise. 😉

This is awful. Violent, cowardly thugs.

This is organised violence against women. It is organised suppression of protest. And people are pretending they are the good guys.

How?!

Thank you MNHQ for un-hiding my post!

Purgatory, you are exactly right.

Adding some photos from the day here, both pre- and post-attack.

Just saw this Grinitch, is this what you were trying to post?

twitter.com/zanneaglio/status/1599932382387531778?s=46&t=OvNyDDwpKANyUH9w_dAJ4A

So a group of 8 or so males, one on a bike, did the snatch and grab. One pushed an umbrella at Kara Dansky, assaulting her. Eggs were thrown, a pie was thrown into women’s faces, knocking one woman’s glasses hard against her nose , the bike rider hit against the woman filming.

It was all over very quickly.

I think rumble has had autohiding issues in the past. Just like the bit ly links in my posts.

if you report your post and ask for it to be unhidden it could work.

GrinitchSpinach · 06/12/2022 13:19

Am I not allowed to link to Rumble? I don’t understand why my last post is hidden.

GrinitchSpinach · 06/12/2022 13:13

Recorded livestream of first part of the event:

m.facebook.com/WDI.USA/videos/wdi-usa-stands-with-lesbians-and-incarcerated-women/548553043825878/?_rdr

Sound is unfortunately terrible, but I think you can make out the speeches (gold star for Jesika Gonzalez, who projected beautifully!)

During this part of the event, only a couple of guys wandered around photographing the women and muttering occasionally.

Next the women carried their banners to a nearby street corner to display their message to the many cars passing by. They got a number of honks and waves of approval.

Finally they moved over to a park by Lake Merritt to spread the message to foot traffic through the park. One woman walking her dog stopped to chat, arguing politely for placing Rivers in a women’s prison. The protesters engaged civilly, making their case. Then the men attacked. This woman was absolutely shocked (the poor dog, too!) You will hear her on the further footage asking “Why? Why are we doing this?!”

The attackers seem to be boasting on social media that they left the women in tears. Lol. This was not the case. Here are four of the women, interviewed minutes after the attack:

rumble.com/v1z2kce-lierre-keith-kara-dansky-arla-hile-and-jesika-gonzalez-speak-out-after-anti.html

I’ll add a few photos in another post.

Helleofabore · 06/12/2022 13:10

GrinitchSpinach · 06/12/2022 12:45

Better footage of the attack (from a bodycam worn by one of the women holding the banner) will be released soon.

The assault began when the group of masked individuals ran toward the women. A person shoved an umbrella into Kara’s side, and almost simultaneously a man on a bicycle came from the opposite direction and hit the woman filming.

This is why her footage veers away from the attack for a second as she stumbles and unfortunately misses filming the moment that the male supremacists hit Lierre and Arla in the heads with pies, and Kara with raw eggs.

The police did respond when called and seemed to make a genuine effort to find the assailants, but by that time they had already fled. What big brave righteous fellas, eh? Hit peaceful women quickly and then run away…

I will add some links and photos in a subsequent post.

It sounds worse than what has been been released.

Thank you for updating us.

And these particular activists are attacking a protest to raise awareness that Rivers may still be housed in a female prison estate.

Let’s never forget that.
