Just so insulting.

Slight diversion but I had a quick squint at Cynthia's blog on Cynthia's website and I don't think I want to talk to Cynthia about the menopause either.
Cynthia's chosen zoom background is a giant close-up of slightly parted, very red, very lipsticky lips. You know the kind. And Cynthia likes to wear a low cut top and talk about cute shoes.

No thanks.

I had a quick mooch as well. I am at a loss of how this person could possibly have the experience, training or understanding of the female reproductive system and how that all slowly starts withering and grinding to a halt as the menopause looms over your head for many years sucking the life out of you whilst delivering periods from hell and sweats every five minutes, amongst other joys!

This person would not be on my top 100000000000000 list of go to people on this subject.

'District Judge Tan Ikram said he "didn't find the defendant credible"'

What, not even with all his valuable work on Panspermia?

It's just astounding, Boiledbeetle. Time is fleeting. Madness takes its toll.

😁

If Jamie Wallis had any self-respect or moral compass* Bridgend would have had a bye-election after that very odd car crash incident.

Wikipedia account here, which omits to mention that the damage caused by the crash left many homes without internet access and landlines for several days.

In February 2022, Wallis was fined £270 and received three points on his driving licence after pleading guilty to an offence in August 2021 of "failure to comply with solid white line road markings" on the A48. [27] On 28 November 2021, Wallis was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit after a car collided with a lamppost in Llanblethian, Vale of Glamorgan.[28] On 30 March 2022, he said that he had "fled the scene" of the car collision due to having a form of post-traumatic stress disorder after being raped in September 2021.[4] In April 2022, Wallis was charged with failing to stop following a road traffic collision, failure to report a road traffic collision, careless driving and leaving a vehicle in a dangerous position.[29] In May he pleaded not guilty to the offences.[30] On 11 July 2022 Wallis was found guilty of failing to stop and report an accident, leaving his car in a dangerous position, but cleared of driving without due care and attention. The court heard that Wallis was wearing "a black leather PVC miniskirt, tights, dark shoes and a pearl necklace" when he fled the scene of the crash, and that police "forced entry into the Wallis' family home address which was described as a 'mansion' and 'absolutely colossal', out of concern for the MP".[31] Wallis said he was frightened of a group of people who came to help him. He was picked up by his father and fell asleep at home without reporting the crash to police.[32] Wallis was fined £2,500 and disqualified from driving for six months. District Judge Tan Ikram said he "didn't find the defendant credible".[31] Following the conviction, the Conservative Party said it "will not be taking any further action".[32]

*I know, I know. Silly me.

Worse than that Theo is Theodora. Replaced a man and a woman with 2 men unless of course Jamie gets of the fence.

Oh, I see! Theodora is about to have her first baby.

So they took two men off and replaced them with two men?

Boiledbeetle · 30/11/2022 16:22

Anyone else feel like we are stuck in a permanent loop of one step forwards two steps back?

ArabellaScott · 30/11/2022 16:13

Cynthia's motto is apparently 'acceptance without understanding'.

Which makes complete sense.

ArabellaScott · 30/11/2022 16:11

JFC. I don't want to discuss the menopause with Cynthia. No, thank you.

No idea, Fenlandia. Wondering what he'll have to say on teh Women's Health Strategy and menopause in the workplace, currently being discussed in the latest meeting of the WESC.

Don't go there ArabellaScott, have you seen this menopause advisor 😐?

ArabellaScott · 30/11/2022 16:01

Agree, Critical. I celebrate Jamie Wallis getting maximum coverage and air time. Jamie is a wonderful blast of sunlight that illustrates why women want and need single SEX spaces.

Who appoints to this committee and what is the process?

Because this appointment will bring so much sunlight I suspect a gender critical mole.

Bring it on.

ArabellaScott · 30/11/2022 15:59

Baroness Falkner says they are looking at various areas and discussing 'clarification' of the EA. I am guessing this is about single sex exemptions?

"What is wrong with these people?"
We keep electing dunderheads, despite their obvious dunderheadedness.

ArabellaScott · 30/11/2022 15:58

If nothing else, Jammie's appointment prompted me to look up the WESC and watch this new meeting with the ECHR, I suppose.

Discussing amending the Equality Act as I watch on catch up.

Interesting to see the other man appointed - Mark Jenkinson - retweeting this.

Thank god there's someone on the committee with sense.

I notice some particularly fuckwitted responses to that tweet, though.

RudsyFarmer · 30/11/2022 15:56

I guess that appointment is a handy tick box exercise.

Mark Jenkinson is solidly GC from everything I've seen on Twitter.

No idea what Wallis will bring to the party, has anyone ever seen him comment on any equalities issue whatsoever other than his own transness?
