WTF India Willoughby Racist tweet

IW's point is that trans women and black women are both subsets of women.

IW is wrong. And racist.

Transwoman describes a man who prefers to be referred to as a woman.

The fact that they would also prefer a space between the words is irrelevant. It still means the same thing.

Women are female from the day they are conceived. Black, white, tall, short, whatever, is a description of their noun - woman.

No transwoman needs a descripter of woman because they are not one. If they were, they wouldn't be trans.

Everyone knows this.

But transwomen are male. It's just a sort of courtesy title to call them anything containing 'women' at all. 'Person who adopts some feminine-gendered stereotypes' would be nearer the mark.

Black women, white women, lesbian women are all of the same sex. India is of the opposite sex. That's unarguable given that India has fathered children.

What is ridiculous is that Willoughby is doubling down with some ludicrous discussion point that is effectively that transitioned males should be centred in any discussion about tampons. And that females questioning this as fetishistic behaviour are to be monstered.

Or so it seems.....

Yes, Errol. I think that some people have been led to believe that some males have some kind of right to claim to be 'just like all women' through use of that term.

To attempt to draw an equivalence here that transwoman is hateful is missing the very blatant misogny of the language allowing 'transwomen'. I am always surprised that any person posting on a feminist board thinks that women cannot see that misogyny.

As I have said before, women demand no males in our spaces. Even linguistic ones.

I neither know nor care. If IW thinks they can be used as earplugs, all I can infer is a lack of knowledge of the product and/or female anatomy.

'Transwoman' is a polite, or enforced, compromise from people who know that males aren't any sort of woman.

Claiming 'blackwoman' has any equivalence is racist misogyny.

I think India is jealous that Esther has a journalist job.

Is there such a thing as a transincel. Or trans incel if that makes it easier to read. If there isn’t , there should be. Because there are certainly people who seem to fit the venn diagram intersection.

I think she's pointing out that just like putting trans woman as all one word is transphobic, putting black woman all as one word is racist.

This is not the first occasion India has been racist. A few weeks ago India said something very unpleasant to Sonia Sodha (guardian journalist and channel 4 broadcaster), implying that Sonia does not belong in the U.K. and tries too hard.

Both tweets were objectively racist and would pass the threshold of malicious comms in that there was an intent to be nasty and cause distress in response to India’s perceived hurt feelings.

I don’t see India being arrested for hurt feelings and having India’s devices seized. And, rightly so. Being offensive online should not be a criminal offence and India was not inciting violence or threats, but simply demonstrating how they other non-white British women.

Let those who might consider India as a useful spokesman for their brand or cause, make their own decisions.

That is a nasty, racist misogynistic comment. The mocking implication in that tweet is vile.

I think this person is so racist that they don't even realise just how racist they are and how their behaviour is abhorrent. It's ingrained in every part of their body. They are a lost cause.

What I find more disturbing- only a very small handful of TRAs / trans people are calling IW out on it.

Why is that? I have seen a lot of comments from Trans people / allies that I consider racist. But this is taking it to a whole new level. I can only assume that they have similar views to IW.
