"Sturgeon’s speech, due to be delivered about halfway through the event, is expected to last be about 20 minutes. is due to deliver the main speech, which is due to last 20 minutes, around half way through the event.

The decision might have been made to “save the blushes of the first minister”, suggested Marion Calder, director of For Women Scotland.

She praised Zero Tolerance’s work but said: “Thirty years on, Scottish women must be wondering what has happened to this organisation.”"

Up until this point we have had absolute 100% conviction from Sturgeon and followers that no transwoman ever committed an offense against women.

She has now acknowledged that it has happened. That it can happen.

She says it's 'men abusing the system', presumably she thinks Katie Dolatowski is not a true transwoman, which point I'd argue. But the bigger thing is that she's admitted that transwomen are not incapable of committing offences against women.

This is fucking huge.

More to the point, is the sudden realisation that some sex offenders seem to have that they do want to change gender once time in stir is on the cards. Gosh I don't wonder why?

In my experience, a male changing gender does not make any difference to whether or not that male is an offending risk against females.

Changing gender however provides additional experiences to harass, intimidate and offend should the male be one of those who does.

And whether or not they are an offender, that male will by their presence in a female space, cause fear, intimidation, distress and active exclusion of females.

Excluding females from anything to provide males with the benefit of choice of everything is not acceptable . Ever. Subordinating females as a sex class to males is not acceptable . Ever.

In my experience trauma that results from sexual abuse is triggered by the sex and not the gender of others

During most of that "long experience", "changing gender" was not a free pass getting you through all sorts of safeguarding and into women's prisons, was it!?

How fucking dare anyone attend a conference to give a speech about VAWG and insist that no one talk about the definition of women and single sex spaces. It may as well be just about violence against anyone.

There is an opportunity here for people to understand why violence against women and girls is so prevalent, why it happens, the damage it does and how we can tackle it - but if we can’t talk about what a woman is, then what’s the fucking point - our sexed bodies are the very reason for VAWG.

well done to that woman that spoke, and shame on those that stayed silent.

Quite. The man whose entire job rests on female people being subjugated to male interests. Who has a lot of skin in the game of dismissing female trauma and needs in order to successfully divert all female resources and females in them to meet male needs.

Rather like Sturgeon who will sell the entire of her sex down the river to meet her own personal needs. I have never been so disgusted by a woman politician.
