Just watched them all - brilliant! If she's not on here @Babdoc let her know we're loving her work. Day 4 is my particular favorite highlighting the harms of this ideology. And day 11 where she shouts out Sloth Queen - her vids are well worth a watch.

Faffertea · 17/11/2022 13:11

Your daughter, sorry son, is brilliant @Babdoc

The videos are made by my DD, who is autistic and gender critical and an absolute hoot. I couldn’t be more proud of her!

She is awesome Babdoc.

ReunitedThorns · 17/11/2022 08:25

Dylan is clearly a parody and a grifter.

I think he couldn't believe the PR and money he's generating over it and so continues it. He wouldn't have met Old Joe if it wasn't for his routine.

I expect when the cameras aren't on him he reverts back to being a normal guy.

PoisonCrystal · 17/11/2022 08:10

I’ve just watched them all. Bloody brilliant!

Wow, Babdoc! That’s brilliant! Hope she’s reading. These are hilarious.

Happylittlechicken · 17/11/2022 06:03

that still makes me chuckle every time. She is amazing!!!

Babdoc · 16/11/2022 23:34

She has always been very sharp witted and funny. She was doing improv on the Edinburgh Fringe over ten years ago. My two DDs both keep me on my toes - younger DD is a terrible troll and spoofer too!

Really! 😂 How did she come up with it? To be honest I think the funniest part is that until the deadpan ‘so I put her in intensive care’ the video could be earnest. It’s not far from the type of real content you see!

If you actually watched instead of spouting bullying comments on the internet you’d know how she spreads kindness.

i can’t watch because of my gag reflex. You should be more sympathetic to my condition if you’re so kind and wonderful.

Now. How specifically, does Dylan spread kindness? I genuinely assumed it would be an easy question - are there examples of Dylan being kind to people in videos?

I think Dylan generally spreads kindness by empty platitudes like gushing ‘love yoooouuuu’ into their own camera to people who they don’t know, and complaining about others who are unkind.

Holy shit, she's brilliant. I was guffawing at the 'normalise the tiiiiits' bit!

Pass on our appreciation, please, she's a comedy genius!

Those videos are hilarious.

Helleofabore · 06/11/2022 09:15

Yes. A male so obviously reinforcing negative stereotypes associated with being female, for either laughs, adulation or profit is still a male reinforcing negative stereotypes and being rewarded for it.

I await to see the what they have done that is kind.

I suspect that people focus in on things that may be ‘kind’ when detached from the overriding effect that Mulvaney’s actions have. That they can do individual kind acts doesn’t remove from the overall act that is harmful.

EndlessTea · 06/11/2022 09:02

Watching this brilliant parody of Mulvany on this thread:

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4669968-response-to-dylan-mulvaney-d-day-one-of-being-a-boy

I found it shocking and hilarious to see men and boys stereotyped in a similarly offensive way.

It really shows what a sexist misogynist Mulvaney is.

EndlessTea · 06/11/2022 08:57

Exactly.

NotBadConsidering · 06/11/2022 08:54

I’m at the point where even if Mulvaney can prove it’s a scam and always has been, it tipped over into being offensive regardless because it will indicate Mulvaney was willing to act so awfully sexist to make it work the difference didn’t matter.

EndlessTea · 06/11/2022 08:42

If Mulvaney does pull of the mask and say “Ha ha! Had you all fooled!” at some point, all that will have been proved is how much everyone, including those brands, who purport to benefit us, hates women, and how little actual social power and significance we have as a sex.

Very depressing. Women lose either way.

EndlessTea · 06/11/2022 08:33

Pieceofpurplesky · 05/11/2022 23:25

My brain still can't compute that Dylan isn't a parody. I believe I will wake up one day and it will all have been a scam.

I feel like it started as a parody, but like someone who claims to have been abducted by aliens, everyone else’s reaction -of wanting to believe it’s true - was addictive. Then getting sponsored- earning some actual money from it, from brands who want to believe- at that point you really are committed- there’ll be some serious explaining to do if you pull out. And when the government takes you seriously…. Is there any going back at that point?

sashh · 06/11/2022 07:29

borderterrierr · 06/11/2022 04:00

@sashh that was so offensive. Getting sponsored by tampax ffs and then going on to be the face of ulta beauty as the experience of girlhood

Sarcasm alert.

If you actually watched instead of spouting bullying comments on the internet you’d know how she spreads kindness.

Today I learned that you can be a ‘feminist’ and a bully. I didn’t think they could coexist, but here you all are.

How kind is it to our daughters to have a male; less than 300 days of being ‘a girl’, being lauded by brands and the president for being a ‘girl’?

How kind is it that this male is being held up to be a spokesperson for ‘girls’?

What is this person actually teaching our daughters about girlhood? Please give me a list so I can make sure I understand.

Because at the moment, I have not seen kindness. I have seen a male, who has not experienced the negative sexist discrimination from birth as even girls who are early teens today, reinforce some
very sexist stereotypes.

If you believe there is something kind that Dylan is doing, I’d like to know what you consider that it?
