Posie seems to be happy with her new pals

Posie is truly stunning and brave. I've been catching up with the USA Let Women Speak tour. No wonder she needs security. The protestors all seem to be males not men who say they are women. The protestors behave like toddlers who think they get their own way by going la la la with their fingers in their ears. The videos coming out of the states really just make the protestors look deranged and unhinged. They really do hate women.
Women will speak and people will listen. If Kelly was a child I'd say go girl but as she is an adult human female I'll say go woman!

Wouldn't it be more unifying if Posie put out a statement saying the Proud Boys aren't welcome at her events rather than posting memes?

"No I have never been a member of the Communist Party"... this is what people in Hollywood were urged to do under McCarthyism....and of course denounce your friends so you weren't tainted.

Same f*cking playbook. Only now it's the Left.

FlibbertyGiblets · 01/11/2022 17:53

Alison that clip of Posie with Harrop will never ever fail to make me smile. Hee hee hee.

soddingspiderseason · 01/11/2022 17:50

Perhaps if TRAs were not so violent and abusive she would not need protection? The level of violence and threat to women saying "no" to men is the real problem here.

Absolutely disgusting that these violent males have made it necessary for women to need protection to talk about their rights. Backwards Neanderthal behaviour. But sure let's criticise the political leanings of the bodyguards. Yes you are the (appropriately juvenile) 'baddies'.

I think this is a good point:

This is why optics are important

I am not sure if you understand why Posie does what she does.

She does it for the reaction. She does it to show how insane it all is. She does it knowing it will be shut down, protested, crowdfunders closed off to prove just how bad it all is.

If TRAs didn't show up, she'd be sat on her sofa watching Pointless.

If violent men didn't all rally to close it down, she'd probably be taking her kids swimming this evening.

It is the utter lunacy that the only people that can call themselves women are men and the closing down and violent threats that keeps her going.

She said all this the first time she was on TV with Harrop. Have a little look. They just can't help themselves.

Maybe trans activists should denounce this person?

Well I ain't American, that screenshot means nothing to me, unless you care to explain.

I'd imagine TRA's have taken the opportunity of the Proud Boys/Three Percenters/bear macing of kids association to persuade Givebutter to shut down the the crowdfunding page for KJK's rally tour.

I thought these were by definition, events for anyone to attend?

As they are basically at public spaces with no restrictions?

Yes you are absolutely right OP,
KJK is literally Hitler

Thank Gawd it wasn't PB logos! Retweets aren't endorsements!

Moonatics · 01/11/2022 16:37

Wouldn't it be more unifying

Are we a unit? Uniform? A whole?

Or are we a bunch of women who are trying our best to keep women safe in whatever way we deem ok and can do.

Posie is doing what I most definitely could not do. And she isnt a feminist. So even if we were a whole, she wouldnt answer to us.

Helleofabore · 01/11/2022 16:30

And the last time I saw feminists using the 'we just want to define our boundaries' seemed to escalate into divisive name calling and it is still going on. Because what they really seemed to have wanted was 'we just want to define our boundaries, and to call other women whatever we wish with no recourse'.

Helleofabore · 01/11/2022 16:28

And we have circled back to this again.

Wouldn't it better if...

No. Because last time she said to the world that she had no idea who the Heart of Oak people were and she wasn't aligned with them in any way, it didn't make a jot of difference.

From SFW, although that boat's got BP logos!

FannyCann · 01/11/2022 15:58

Nah, it's the one who is weirdly obsessed with mn (despite not being a mother), home-Ed (despite having no children) and posing as a child on Reddit (despite being an adult).

Sounds a bit dodgy. Who is that?

TRA:
"I'm going to shoot you bigot"

Woman:
"Holy crap I better get protection ASAP"
<gets protection asap>

TRA:
"Woman got protection. Look at what a bigot she is"

seconded @OldGardinia
Though as a lesbian in the past you had to hide any libertarian or conservatism beliefs, if you wanted any kind of social life. Now I'm old enough that I don't care and I also find my politics changing to really liking the SDP. Isn't it great we're allowed to evolve our ideas?

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/11/2022 15:04

OldGardinia · 01/11/2022 09:29

All this discussion of feminism and the Right! The Right Wing has lots of feminists. But they're all old school equal opportunity, women should carry a gun feminists. None of them are idpol/equity/3rd wave feminists.

How did that old meme go? "The bulge in a Conservative woman's pants is a gun. The bulge in a Liberal woman's pants is a penis".

The Left has always been a collectivist movement at heart. It appeals to those who depend on a group for power. That's why women tend to be Left Wing because historically women have less power individually than men (physically and financially). But it also draws in a lot of beta men (and this is born out statistically with financial and even gym usage statistics). And that includes typical AGP MtF who might be physically large and aggressive but on some psychological level fetishize being some "weak and girly" stereotype of a woman.

And it's why a lot of individually powerful / assertive women in politics gravitate to the Right. Alice Weidell, Thatcher, Georgia Melonie, Marine Le Pen. Sure, the Left has a lot of women in the ranks, but how many female leaders has the Labour or Liberal Democrat parties have compared to the Tories?

I neither expect nor want everyone to agree with me on this, but I'd say that in a significant way the Right is more feminist than the Left, because the Right tends to give less of a stuff about someone's sex. That's bad for equity based feminism, good for meritocratic feminism. But either way, there's "feminism" on the Right. It's just not what modern academics and the media recognize as "feminism" anymore which is all about enshrining sex as a group identity. The Right regards feminism as not hindering someone's rights because of their sex.

In the light of that last point, I think it's clear why on the issue of GC, the Right is appearing a lot more "feminist" than the Left.

Thanks for a really interesting and thought-provoking post @OldGardinia Flowers

Firesuck is gender critical btw.

So what?

Or have you not worked out, despite regulars on this very board saying constantly, this board is not an echo chamber, or a hive mind!

Fuck. Only some one with a fucking huge prejudice would think posters on this board think the same, or that any feminists all think the same.

So, OP? Is that you? Do you think all people who prioritise sex over gender are the same so you added ‘x is gender critical’ as if it was at all relevant?
