To feel incredibly sorry for Eddie Izzard

I don't want to pity Eddie but I felt a wave of sadness after reading that Rosie Duffield (MP) said she would rather be arrested than refer to Eddie as a woman.

The thing with Eddie is that Eddies gender changes based on what best befits the situation for them. Boy mode or girl mode.

So Eddie is male for acting roles and business where Eddie gets better roles and higher pay.

Eddie is female for running marathons, going out drinking and politics where Eddie gets to join the female leaderboard, go to female toilets and get considered for things like female shortlists and diversity positions.

mumsnet is "known for being gender critical" but it doesn't mean everyone thinks that way, loads of us just can't be bothered getting into the argument/ dived up on/ shot down by a big group of intense gender critical feminists.

This site is full of women who had been sexual assaulted, abused, harassed, harmed and insulted by men, why would any of us believe that a man could become a woman when that same man openly ignores everything men do to us and demands access to our safe spaces just so he can enjoy his 'girl mode' nonsense?

I’m not sure it is that hard for Eddie to be gender fluid. I think he gets to play around with gender identity much more than most. He’s in a very privileged position.
He does seem like a nice chap and FWIW I think he’d make a brilliant Dr Who. I don’t dislike the chap.
Be a bloke who wears dresses. Shake off stupid stereotypes of what makes a man and what makes a woman. Just don’t pretend biology is made up of lipstick and heels.

Yeah that's always the excuse. "I won't argue because I'll just be shot down". Never heard an argument from a TRA that made any sense. Usually they either call bigot or say that there's no point arguing. It's very telling.

Read the room op. Eddie Izzard is a man and has enjoyed male privilege his entire life. He was brave when he was a gender non confirming man. Now he's a sad sack that is trying to claim woman hood as his own despite never ever having a single experience as an actual WOMAN.
