I just love this woman! She undoubtedly has the Midas touch when it comes to marketing and publicity.

I have been to several of her events over the years, and she has time for each and every woman who comes to see her.

Any other fans here?

But violence perpetuated by transgender people is a feature of virtually no one’s lives

Violence by men affects most women. Maybe not directly, but our constant awareness of it as a possibility means we take precautions throughout the day to avoid it.

For example, I paid £13 for my taxi home last night because I won't use the bus late at night because of the walk home at the end.

If men aren't allowed in a space it means all men are excluded, men who say they are women are still men. Which bit of this is so hard to understand?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/01/2023 09:15

And as always, what’s on the other side of the scale from the “tiny issues” of rape, head injuries and the right to free association?

Genderfeelings and need for validation. The desire to have your “identity” written on your birth certificate. Now that’s genuinely a tiny and unimportant issue. It’s downright trivial. It’s disgusting that anyone thinks women’s health and well-being should be endangered for that.

This.

Male violence is, regardless of gender identity. Given the rate of male trans people who are sex offenders that simply isn't true. But you're not posting in good faith, so I've no desire to indulge your misogynistic nonsense.

i once read about of a child falling on an upright toothbrush and blinding themselves. But we’re not banning the toothbrush. Because one dimension we think about problems with is scale.

You are now crossing into ‘using absurd comparisons to try to negate your misogynistic post’.

I would just like to point out that women getting concussed in rugby or driven out of sport altogether is also not a “tiny issue.”

Sports participation makes a massive difference to women’s and girls’ mental and physical health. And concussion is more dangerous for women than for men.

How many women have been concussed by transgender players?

dont be silly - it’s obviously a tiny problem, if, indeed it even exists at all.

i once read about of a child falling on an upright toothbrush and blinding themselves. But we’re not banning the toothbrush. Because one dimension we think about problems with is scale.

This reminds of when Paris Lees wrote a sneery piece dismissing women's fears of male violence with "and some people are scared of escalators" because there are accidents on escalators very occasionally. Male violence is the reality of a large proportion of women's lives, which shows that the awful Lees (someone who went to prison for violence) has no idea about being a woman.

It's nasty and it's goady.

I feel so sorry for the mothers of the TRAs who post on these boards. What a disappointment they are as men and humans.

EastLondonObserver · 21/01/2023 09:00

mrshoho · 21/01/2023 08:30

No we're not good @EastLondonObserver

Just one incident it too many and we know there have been much more than this. If you think you can just minimise away these real threats to women's rights and safety you are wrong. And it doesn't take a brain surgeon to know how self id would lead to increasing cases of men abusing the system.

Helleofabore · 21/01/2023 08:55

‘Tiny in scale’ is just as misogynistic as ‘tiny in importance’.

And is on par with Marg’s attempt at dismissing ‘cream pies’ in the face because ‘it was only a cream pie’.

Dismissal of male violence against women is inherently misogynistic.

And yet, the posters who fall back on misogynistic posts to support their ideological beliefs cannot see their own misogyny.

But they are of course using it to shame posters, the majority being women, in an attempt to discredit them or to portray their concerns as worthy of being diminished, or to disparage them. The outcome is always the same though- they want women they disagree with to Shut The Fuck Up!!

That never changes.

beastlyslumber · 21/01/2023 08:47

It’s only a ‘tiny issue’ if you’ve never been raped. You are morally bankrupt.

Exactly. It's only a 'tiny issue' if you don't think rape is something women should get upset about. In other words, if you are a misogynist and a potential rapist.

EastLondonObserver · 21/01/2023 08:24

Tiny in scale, not in severity (well apart from the rugby scenario). We good?

Tiny in scale? how many rapes are acceptable to you?

I can 100% confirm that you are nothing like 'good'

Helleofabore · 21/01/2023 08:37

EastLondonObserver · 21/01/2023 08:24

Tiny in scale, not in severity (well apart from the rugby scenario). We good?

So ‘tiny in scale’ means that the issue should be ignored. And people shouldn’t care?

Do you even understand what you wrote? And you wrote it as some kind of ‘gotcha’ moment!

You are here on this board posting all sorts of misogynistic statements, on a feminism board. You also think you have some moral superiority to think you can tell anyone where to put their efforts.

Yet, you do this repeatedly across threads. This pattern of posting rings deja vu alarms for me and I suspect others feel it too. For me, it is the dishonest and misogynistic posting style that seems all too familiar.

It is only a few women - they don’t matter. Turn your attention somewhere else!

No. We are not ‘good’.

You wish to claim that your words have been misinterpreted? Wow! So many of your posts are doing exactly that, misinterpreting the words of other to present them how you need them to be interpreted to fit your agenda.

Rather an obvious hypocritical tactic, isn’t it?

So, you think that women being raped in prison is a tiny issue. Your attitude is fucking reprehensible.

I am just again highlighting this misogynist gem here.

Just for readers who have not yet encountered the misogynistic posts of ELO. This person really cannot help but show their true nature on this board. Threads littered with posts like this.

It could be said that this poster is working against supporting trans people because with posts like this, they are portraying trans activists as being misogynists who have no concept of appropriate safeguarding for women and children and seek to obliterate the boundaries women set for themselves and that people set for their children.

And posts like this shine the spotlight on just how much extreme trans activists hate women who disagree with them. And all women.

Sinnerboy: If you think that women objecting to being incarcerated with rapists, claiming to be women, or crippled by a bloke called Sharon in a rugby game, your moral compass is spinning like a propeller.

ELO But these are all tiny issues.

Once you see it, you cannot see it.

"They were saying people who were born men shouldn't go to a women's prison and that made more sense to me"

Just a reminder this has nothing to do with Scotland's GRA. Prisons decide on a case by case basis.

Glad you mentioned prisons MargePIE as current data in the U.K. is showing that compared to MEN, transwomen are 252% more likely to commit and be convicted of a sexual offence.

What a reprehensible comment on a board with a majority woman user base many of whom will be survivors of sexual abuse.

I can assure you as such a survivor, rape is not a ‘tiny issue’ and I can only imagine the further horror of then being forced to remain locked in with the monster who decided that violating your body was his right.

It’s only a ‘tiny issue’ if you’ve never been raped. You are morally bankrupt.

Let’s not forget that Marg is here and using this man’s violence against women even though women were not involved. But Marg is still using that voilence to attempt to silence women .

Let’s remember that Marg for repeated threads completely dismissed actual violence against women. Actually also made light of that violence because it involved women having ‘cream pies’ thrown at them . Marg completely dismissed the violence because hey, comedy uses cream pies thrown at people because it is FUNNY.

Marg if I remember correctly, also dismisses intimidation of women by enraged males as being violence against women. Because the males are supposedly ‘righteous’. Those enraged aggressive males shouting, some with megaphones, and blocking passage and surrounding women and other intimidation tactics.

Marg is known to dismiss violence used against women and girls (some of these rallies have children attend and speak) and yet comes onto this thread to then use the violence of two males to again attempt to silence and shame women who hold a different opinion to Marg’s.

Or doesn’t yelling Fascist at another man and encouraging the crowd to yell and abuse that man count as violence to you, Marg?Because ‘righteous’?

So, thanks for posting that Marg. It really brings your past actions into even clearer light.

You seem to have a really foul habit of jumping in a thread, ignoring everything that has been said and just rehashing some weird nonsense argument another TRA already made before you. Then you continue to ignore everyone who asks you a question that is difficult for you to answer.

Still waiting on your answers from the other threads I've seen you to why we should believe a man when he says he's a woman and how we tell the difference between two men who say they are women when one is faking it and the other is supposedly not.

Let's also add BoiledBeetle's question to how some rando showing up at an event, one that started out on the TRA side, is any reflection on Kellie-Jay Keen?

Looking forward to those answers.
