I just love this woman! She undoubtedly has the Midas touch when it comes to marketing and publicity.

I have been to several of her events over the years, and she has time for each and every woman who comes to see her.

Any other fans here?

If Owen Jones doesn't think he's at risk of imminent death and fossilisation, then nor am I, as I'm younger than him.

Boiledbeetle · 21/01/2023 19:16

until recently I've always felt sad that teenagers etc will have to live with their youthful stupidity resurfacing on on this date feeds forever more.

However after the decapitate Terfs sign I'm currently having little sympathy for the fact that this lots transgressions as young people will follow them around the internet forever.

tough shit.

CorvusPurpureus · 21/01/2023 19:10

If I thought I was going to pop off soon enough to keep the 'Decapitate Difficult Women' mob happy, I'd be going 10 more levels of batshit angry trying to stop them from destroying my daughters' future.

I'm confident I'll live to see this nonsense off. I give it 2 more years before everyone pretends they were definitely not in that photograph.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/01/2023 16:30

There is an ageist comment thrown in using disparaging language just to put us in our place that little bit more.

I think the implication was that we're all going to die off soon, being so very old.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 21/01/2023 16:25

aw, I missed a flounce

not my favourite type :-(

I prefer it when they completely lose it and are frothingly abusive (I understand that this is probably a personality flaw). it means we've properly broken them

there's always next time though

Aww wee man child put down for a nap. Lovely.

I’m here for the 16th March (Adelaide) updates. I’m booking the Thursday and Friday off work, and I’m hoping to persuade a young ‘JKR is an awful person’ to join me. We know we are ‘opposites’ but we are both willing to listen.

This is why KJK is amazing - me and my mate are separated by age and idolatry but we like each other and I reckon if anyone can ‘talk’ to my friend it’s KJK.

Her passion burns so bright.

You nailed it though Boiled.

the telepathy womanly skills. yeah I know. its a skill that men will never possess!!!

Helleofabore · 21/01/2023 14:13

You nailed it though Boiled.

Boiledbeetle · 21/01/2023 14:09

I’m actually supposed to be doing some work but I’m procrastinating so…

I’ve just been on the internet outside of mumsnet, I know who knew that existed?

Anyway I came across an interesting post, I won’t link it, I’ll just send telepathic womanly thoughts to you all as to what post and where you can find it……..Got it? Good.

Anyway my thoughts

It starts with being here was to understand us better, feels that’s been accomplished and will now move onto something more worthwhile. (Obviously we weren’t deemed worthy enough, oh the shame, how will we live with the shame?).

The writer inadvertently reveals that he assumes we should always centre men with his first bullet point. Yet he also reveals that he personally doesn’t even consider female to male presenting trans people in his thought processes at all.

He completely ignores the fact that as a group, (I apologise for assuming we have a hive mind, but he does so…) that we here always centre transmen, i.e. women, in our woman centring way of thought.

He thinks we should discount the one is too many idea we have because ‘scale’ and ‘moral panic’. So the man should get to decide what number women consider is an acceptable amount of women to be raped in a prison etc. Our obvious choice of none is not acceptable to the man. So we must change our requirements.

We lack grace and kindness. Why should they be qualities I want to aspire to? I’ve never wanted to be fucking graceful. And I’ve never subscribed to the whole be kind stuff so I’m sure as hell not about to start now just because some man on the internet doesn’t like my tone. If he doesn’t like my tone he can take himself off away from me. It’s not my job to make sure his needs and wants are met.

He acknowledges that people ‘shrieking’ at vulnerable minorities is always going to look nasty and fascist, yet directs that comment at us as the shriekers, rather than the fact that it’s actually been the men screaming in women’s faces, throwing things in women’s faces, stalking women, shouting slurs at women.

There is an ageist comment thrown in using disparaging language just to put us in our place that little bit more.

We are apparently not willing to engage in debate around safeguarding other than banning men from female spaces (he actually uses the words “all transgender people” again forgetting that we have no issue with the transmen as they are women).

A final insult throw of extremism is lobbed at us before he leaves hoping we’ve enjoyed and learnt from his posts!

Now of course this isn’t connected to this thread at all. It’s just about some random comment I found on the internet.

I particularly liked the anger at women refusing to see male people as anything other than male.

Yes, that would be the entire point. Sex matters in the issues women are discussing here. There is no point at which a male person stops being male and some women needing sex based services need single sex provision. On a sex based basis. That this inconveniences some males and is perceived by some as unkind to mention?

Doesn't really make those issues for females go away.

Not to mention that a male coming onto a women's rights forum to argue specifically with women who want equality of rights? Is already of the sex based opinion that one sex should always be prioritised and the other sex should always serve them. Nicely. With soft voices. And if they're very good and explain their issues very politely and kindly with the right kind of evidence then Daddy might think about listening to them.

yes.

The anger that males can only ever be male is palpable!

#Justbekind...

MythicalReasonableTwitterUser · 21/01/2023 13:20

This popped up on my Twitter feed- JKR posted a screenshot of yet another male publicly fantasizing about violence against women, Posie in this case.
And Standing for Women posted an audio of the same creep saying he's going to attack JKR with a big hammer.

Men are socialised not to doubt themselves or be shy of treating the world to their amazing insights. Women self-censor and question themselves more. This doesn't change when a male "identifies" as a woman.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/01/2023 12:43

The problem with men like this, and we come across lots of them on social media and in the course of our lives, is the extent of their self belief. He's talking complete arse and is a misogynist who has never given women's concerns or needs a second thought, but he identifies as right, therefore he is.

Where can we go to enjoy the flouncepost please?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/01/2023 12:19

Hahaha have now read ELO's flouncepost.

Helleofabore · 21/01/2023 12:17

us not is!

Helleofabore · 21/01/2023 12:16

Hang on… did we get the email back from Johansen? You know the confirmation that he was ‘platformed’ with KJK as ELO persisted in repeating over and over?

I mean, seriously, a person who prided themselves on their career in advertising using only Wikipedia as their sole source! That was sublime.

And even in Kellie Jay’s recent video she mentioned her not being able to get Wikipedia to remove the false accusations. And she said the entry was now locked didn’t she? So no one can go in and replace the wildly distorted claims…

But yeah! Wikipedia and ‘the flounce’ then talked about is relying on erroneous studies!!!

That post was certainly outstanding in many ways.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 21/01/2023 12:15

What, another flounce? How many's that 5? 6?

Funny how so many men who hate women spend hours on here fuming and flouncing. Haven't they noticed that the rest of the world and media are full on terf now and shouting loudly about it on media sites all over the place?
Or maybe there's a certain "frisson" they get from targeting women in particular. 🤔

beastlyslumber · 21/01/2023 12:08

Oh no I missed the flounce my chance to be educated!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 21/01/2023 12:06

He'll be back. Unless MN permabans him.

Datun · 21/01/2023 12:04

I'm surprised it took ELO so long to leave, to be honest. His repetitive posts have become so boring, and now even to him!

One thing I have noticed lately, is, for instance, women being aghast at certain links, etc, things which have been around for several years, and had threads about them even. Or asking for evidence of statistics.

In other words new people. Freshly shocked. A bit sceptical, but interested.

These issues, despite being a political hot potato, are still not on the radar for a lot of people. Particularly, the profound repercussions for women and children.

Most people don't bother to take any notice. Lives are busy, money is short. And it's only interesting when it directly affects them. And the nature of this ideology, is that it will spread, and spread, and it will affect more and more women and their children.

So although, here, on mumsnet, women are generally in agreement, never forget, that there are new people arriving all the time.

And tedious though it is, the painstaking refutation of posts like those of ELO, will be useful.

Showing up the really quite proud misogyny, too. The obvious enjoyment of 'messing with the wims'.

It would've been better for ELO if they hadn't been quite such a typical representative of the movement. People could just dismiss their comments as more rants from an MRA.

Put it this way, I don't imagine other transactivists are at all happy about how many women are watching one of their rep's marvellous display of misogyny.

Or maybe they are. They are masters of the own goal, after all.
