I just love this woman! She undoubtedly has the Midas touch when it comes to marketing and publicity.

I have been to several of her events over the years, and she has time for each and every woman who comes to see her.

Any other fans here?

Indeed, Necessary.

The distraction is so clear. Look over here is evil!!! Evil, I tell you!

No… don’t listen to her. Don’t listen to her saying that children and teens are on irreversible medical treatments because they express they feel like the opposite sex. Don’t look at the paucity of evidence that affirming only treatment and those drugs and surgeries are the best treatments.

Don’t look at the rapidly growing evidence of females of any gender being raped, impregnated and abused in prisons because some males want to be housed in female prisons.

Don’t look at women’s sports and the facts that even the IOC has declared that inclusion should be prioritised over fairness- the IOC!! How much do they hate women and girls!

Don’t look at the women begging for female single sex spaces being ignored and abused. No! No! Don’t look at the Rape Crisis Centres vilifying women for asking for just one group to be female only out of a ‘women’s’ group, an LGBTQ + group and a men’s group!

Don’t look at the rapes occurring in NHS hospital wards!

Don’t look at what happens in sexist sectors when sex segregation is removed for rewarding performance! I mean, who the fuck ever thought the entertainment industry would be sexist? Really?

No! no!

Holocaust denial!

Right wing listening to words!

Sparple! Sparple! Sparple!

What puzzles me is if someone - like “Posie” - wants to communicate this to as many people as possible, why would they limit their appeal by keeping such terrible company.

Yes, there’s some logic in attacking accusations of “guilt by association”. But this isn’t an undergrad seminar, it’s real world politics. The company you keep has a significant effect on your appeal.

She’s either incredibly dumb, incompetent or desperate if she thinks sharing platforms with US social conservatives, holocaust deniers, anti abortionists and anti LGB bods are going to be effective.

That is, of course, unless she has sympathy with some of these views as well. I’m sure she’s not that much of a rotter though - after all look at her lovely jumpsuits!

It's her hair, isn't it? It's just sheer jealousy of those Marilyn-esque blonde curls. She's so petite, too. Bet that pisses a lot of people off. So feminine. And yet she just Will Not Do As She's Told.

I still find it amusing that ELO drops terms like ‘holocaust denier’ and ‘horseshoe theory’ yet wants people to believe they have never heard the term ‘gatekeeping’ used in business or politics!

Sorry - never heard of “gatekeep” used as a verb, as I mentioned.

It’s not used widely in business for sure.

”I gatekeep the accounts HR policy”

”Sarah gatekeeps the the marketing strategy”

”I am a hotel receptionist - I gatekeep at the Holiday Inn”

said no one ever….

I guess when you're someone who advocates for letting men into women's prisons you have to try really really hard to find some way to make anyone look morally worse than yourself.

So you have to do things like say "holocaust denial" a lot.

It's a weird sort of whataboutism - "okay, a lot of women might get raped in my plan, but don't think about that - think about the holocaust, it's not as bad as that".

But even then it doesn't work because even a holocaust denier isn't actively supporting an ongoing holocaust, unlike those who are actively supporting putting men into women's prison's now.

Those like ELO supporting that are directly supporting an immediate ongoing crime against humanity.*

They don't get to have any moral high ground by being concerned about previous ones.

"Okay, so I'm doing this to you, but I feel really bad about what happened to those other people. Don't go asking her for help - she once stood next to someone who thinks that other thing didn't happen. So I'm just going to keep doing it. Shut up."

Totally normal non-psychopathic behaviour.

*(Yes, sorry, women do count as humanity. Sorry to be pedantic about this.)

“If these are your movement’s figureheads, then there is little to fear.”

🤔 I think you are very afraid of KJK otherwise why waste so much of your time and attention on this thread? If she were irrelevant or perhaps as you are trying to suggest, so despicable to ordinary people that they therefore won’t listen to her, you wouldn’t be here.

Also your movement promotes the deliberate destruction of the bonds between parents and children in order to encourage children to damage their healthy bodies, making themselves lifelong medical patients and infertile, but also wants to force women and children into situations where they will be undressing, asleep, unwell and/or incarcerated with men. None of this bothers you?

Finally I am glad that KJK will talk to whoever will listen, who knows maybe listening to her will enlighten them and shift their position to being more empathetic and compassionate to others.

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 08:35

I still find it amusing that ELO drops terms like ‘holocaust denier’ and ‘horseshoe theory’ yet wants people to believe they have never heard the term ‘gatekeeping’ used in business or politics!

I don't think ELO knows what any of the terms mean, to be honest.

They've spent all this time on here, and still don't know what gender critical means.

Another thing I like is Posie's serenity. No matter what anyone accuses her of or what provocation she faces, she just sails on.

And her take-down of Adrian Harrop will always be funny.

Sail on, Posie, you star.

Datun · 13/01/2023 08:18

EastLondonObserver · 13/01/2023 07:00

So sharing a platform with a holocaust denier is akin to sharing one with a slightly different kind of vegetarian.

it’s not.

What it illustrates is:

”Posie” has very poor judgment, at best.

If she was “unaware” then she’s incompetent . It’s basic stuff to check out who you are sharing platforms with.

That there is an overlap between the audiences for gender critical thinking and some of the most appalling aspects of right wing thinking.

If these are your movement’s figureheads, then there is little to fear.

Such 'poor judgement' that she has an appreciation thread from the biggest gathering of women in history.

Anyone can speak or attend her talks. It's not incompetence, it's not giving a flying fuck what you think. I know it feels like incompetence, because you can't control it, but that's on you 😁

You don't understand what gender critical means. To be fair, most transactivists don't, because their thinking stops at why aren't you letting me do what I want. But for future reference, it's criticism of society's expectations of social roles as a natural extension of one's sex.

If these are your movement’s figureheads, then there is little to fear.

Lol. And aren't you doing a grand job of demonstrating that, with all this first class attention you're paying her! You'll be wearing her T-shirts before you know it 🤣

How many more scary terms can ELO keep repeating.

It is so predictable, I think we can start taking bets. Or just keep playing bingo.

EastLondonObserver · 13/01/2023 07:45

Nice try. Economics isn’t the right dimension to focus on.

Posie seems to consistently find audiences among right wing social conservatives.

See the horseshoe theory.

I know about Horseshoe theory. And you are the one trying to define right wing as being wholly evil, yet ignoring that right wing has many foundation concepts.

Your view comes across as being absolutist and polarised. And unevidenced.

Are you saying that ‘social conservatives’ are all evil now?

Just more polarised bullshit.

Of course, people from other political viewpoints will be in her audience. I just said that believing that sex is immutable is shared by the majority of the world’s population! They will listen and may even go and become activists for their own motivations that are not related to Kellie Jay’s EXCEPT in outcome.

Of course, people from all political backgrounds will be in her audience! Even people who oppose her beliefs will listen for their own reasons.

Just because they listen, doesn’t mean they fully or even partially agree with her.

It doesn’t mean that collective feminist action underwrites their views or their actions. or that they ever support any collective feminist action.

It is really not that hard a concept to understand as an adult critical thinker.

AlisonDonut · 13/01/2023 07:52

Anyone remember the hazy days before 'CANCELLATIONS' where even at university, the lecturers would give you texts - good and bad - to expose you to thoughts you might not agree with?

Thankfully, that's curtailed now and everyone is only allowed to have pure thoughts that agree with everyone else and be part of the Borg and everyone lived happily ever after.

What hope have the kids got when this attitude of cancelling anyone who stood next to someone with different opinions is so rife?

SinnerBoy · 13/01/2023 07:49

EastLondonObserver

That there is an overlap between the audiences for gender critical thinking and some of the most appalling aspects of right wing thinking.

What about the Venn Diagram for TRAs? The one which seems like looking down a telescope. Insisting that women be kind, whilst issuing rape and death threats and carrying out actual violence.

Why do you align yourself with them?

SinnerBoy · 13/01/2023 07:46

Helleofabore

Or indeed, why she's a charlatan?

I, too, have been interested in this answer. I doubt it will come.

Yes, I'm beginning to think that my question is too difficult for her. She and EOL seem to think that repeating unevidenced assertions is an argument and the way to win one.

AlisonDonut · 13/01/2023 07:46

I'd say that people who post in appreciation threads are supporting the appreciation of the person. Which makes all the people on here, regardless of their words or opinions, a fan of Posie. That's how it works right, this 'guilty by association, sharing platforms thing' yes?

EastLondonObserver · 13/01/2023 07:45

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 07:35

“That there is an overlap between the audiences for gender critical thinking and some of the most appalling aspects of right wing thinking.”

The point being your use of ‘gender critical’ thinking. If you reduce ‘gender critical’ to believing that sex cannot be changed, then you will be describing the majority of the world.

If you are describing the feminist actions and beliefs that form the basis of what you call ‘gender critical’, then the ‘overlap’ is questionable. And it depends on what is considered ‘right wing’. Because some feminists can believe in economic models that can be considered ‘right wing’ and the collective needs of women and children. Your attempt to paint ‘right wing’ as an evil monster is showing your own lack of ability to think critically.

But crack on. Each post is continuing the live demonstration of the inanity of extremist trans activist tactics for the many readers. Maybe a few will find them convincing, so I encourage you to keep it up.

Nice try. Economics isn’t the right dimension to focus on.

See the horseshoe theory.

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 07:43

And if ‘guilt by association’ is your thing, then how many state leaders can be said to support atrocities because they were at a conference with another state leader.

Fuck! Does that mean that the UN women’s committee shares Iran’s beliefs about women?

Let the inanity continue!

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 07:40

Keep repeating it.

You have presented not one shred of evidence that was in any way convincing about your ‘holocaust denial’ claim.

Not one shred of evidence.

Do you honestly think readers are convinced by your repeating ‘holocaust denial’ when you have nothing else.

And so I will repeat, Kellie Jay Keen has not denied the holocaust. Please post evidence that she has made such statements. Otherwise your claim rests on guilt by association.

EastLondonObserver · 13/01/2023 07:36

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 07:12

Did you or did you not watch the video?

Constantly repeating the same thing still does not make that thing true. Your points are based on an extreme prejudice where you are making baseless accusations using guilt by association.

Just because a person may speak at the same conference doesn’t mean there is any shared support for even the topic of the conference.

In what world do you live where a conference must only have speakers who are in full support of the theme of the conference? Would that be the same world where you never have seen ‘gatekeeping’ as a verb used in a sentence?

This is just like posters who try to portray a person attending any seminar as only holding the same view as the speaker in the seminar. It is nonsense.

What a narrow, narrow life people must lead if they cannot go and hear an opposing view to see what others think!

What a narrow life people must lead to only ever expect people speaking at a conference, in a session that is just them presenting their views, to share all the same political views as either other speakers or the attendees.

Adulting seems really hard for some people.

Holocaust denial?

“That there is an overlap between the audiences for gender critical thinking and some of the most appalling aspects of right wing thinking.”

I honestly thought we left this tired old trope months ago.

Shall we flood the thread with all the problematic and appalling people who are supporting LGBTQ + people and campaigns? Shall we then discuss the overlap?

I am quite sure I am not the only one who can easily find all the published quotes from people such as Peter Tatchell, Jane Fae, Nancy Kelley, Rachel/Veronica MacKinnon/Ivy (ie things published under both names), Jacob Breslow …The list is very long. And that is just official spokespeople who have been included in policy making.

Shall we also include lauded authors, social media influencers and academics ?

You are here just repeating bad faith take and misrepresention. On other threads you have tried to dissociate trans people you don’t agree with from being trans. You. No one else on the thread is being transphobic except you. Yet not one person has reported your posts for the very clear transphobia you keep repeating.

And then you post this:

“That there is an overlap between the audiences for gender critical thinking and some of the most appalling aspects of right wing thinking.”
