I just love this woman! She undoubtedly has the Midas touch when it comes to marketing and publicity.

I have been to several of her events over the years, and she has time for each and every woman who comes to see her.

Any other fans here?

summat to do.

if you didn’t think I was effective why do you debate me?

We are not debating you though.

We are pointing out your continued lies and tactics that you use.

Brilliant, isn't it? Such an incredibly smart strategy. Women everywhere spread the message of women's and children's rights, and have a way to recognise our friends and allies in the movement. It also gives us a way to financially support the actual billboards, documentaries, and live events that KJK puts on, and - hopefully - gives her enough income to keep doing what must be the equivalent of two or three full time jobs. I expect she will also have to start employing people soon, if she hasn't already.

No one here is debating you. You've been repeatedly asked for evidence to support your claims. And in doing so, you've been allowed to expose your ignorance and discredit yourself.

she doesn’t seem to be the sharpest tool
in the box strategy-wise.

Well I'm sure she'll be very disappointed to know you think so. Meanwhile, thousands of women will "be the billboard" and speak at her events and tell their friends and watch her youtube and share her interviews, and KJK will continue to be invited onto mainstream and independent media, and quoted whenever the newspapers need a feminist voice.

And you'll continue to use your strategies of lying, making claims without evidence, derailing, shitposting and applauding yourself for not understanding basic concepts like what a verb is. Good luck with all of that.

We'll see which of you garners the most support and has the biggest reach over the coming months.

If you don't think she's effective, ELO, why spend so much time desperately trying to discredit her with bullshit accusations?

Sorry, not buying it.

Well it's more nuanced than that.

I'm not bothered by someone being in the same room as someone else whose politics are dodgy.

I'm not bothered by KJK having her photo taken with someone she doesn't know who is later found out to be an ex-proud boy.

I'm not bothered about Julie Bindel writing for the Mail or the Spectator. I'm not even bothered about her going on a speaking tour with fully paid-up fascist, Milo Yiannopoulos.

I am, however, bothered about transactivists employing paedophiles in their organisations.

You know? Nuance.

You may not be bothered. But many people are, which limits her effectiveness as a campaigner, and supports my point she doesn’t seem to be the sharpest tool
in the box strategy-wise.

Need convincing still? Think Jeremy Corbyn.

NecessaryScene · 13/01/2023 16:18

For many people this is a problem, and they feel they can get an idea of a person through whom they wish to spend their time with and associate with.

Well, I for one quite like Venice Allan. But maybe she's not to everyone's taste?

Or do you mean the wider groups of women who go to her events?

Oh, no, sorry, silly me. I was interpreting your "wish to spend their time with and associate with" literally.

You meant "were once in the vicinity of", or "refuse to issue a performative disassociations of" didn't you?

beastlyslumber · 13/01/2023 16:16

suggestionsplease1 · 13/01/2023 16:10

OK we get it, you are not bothered by the company a person chooses to keep.

She has done loads of interviews and podcasts so if those are her views, the evidence should be very easy to find.

Which is kind of the point isn't it? You'd never have a thread like this about anyone actually bad, because there'd be no point. You'd just look at what she says.

This sort of thread only arises when those trying to drag someone down have to studiously ignore almost everything she has ever said and go looking for something to make up a contrary narrative.

Everyone here appreciating her appreciates her for what she says. Those opposing her refuse to address what she says at all.

I think, for most people reading, it will be very clear, straightforward and relevant what I am doing, and I'm sorry that is not the case for you.

No no, don't worry. It's very clear to me what you are doing. I'm sure it is for everyone else as well.

beastlyslumber · 13/01/2023 16:05

if the references aren’t good enough for you I’m happy to do additional detective work to
dig up the dirt on her.

Thanks. Because all you've posted are yet more claims of guilt by association. KJK smiled at someone who is considered to be a racist. KJK had her picture taken with a stranger, who was later revealed to have once been a fascist but isn't any more.

If you want me to believe that KJK is a fascist, holocaust denier, charlatan or whatever else she's accused of, then the evidence I need is the words from her own mouth saying, "I support fascism," "the holocaust never happened," etc. She has done loads of interviews and podcasts so if those are her views, the evidence should be very easy to find.

beastlyslumber · 13/01/2023 16:00

This is what you said: Someone who is engaging in the process of pushing back against ideologies they disagree with is not in the same position as someone sharing a platform with proponents of those ideologies, or rubbing shoulder with them for mutual benefit.

Considering that the topic under discussion is the accusation that KJK was platformed with a holocaust denier, your comment can be understood as claiming that:

  1. ELO is 'pushing back' against holocaust denialism (by engaging in email correspondence with a holocaust denier);
  2. KJK is sharing a platform with holocaust deniers;
  3. KJK is rubbing shoulders with holocaust deniers.

Hence my request for evidence of these three things.

If that's not what your comment alluded to, could you please make clear exactly what you were alluding to. Or better still, what you actually meant.

No, I'm asking you what the relevance of this quote is.

I have nothing to say about holocaust denial, it is not something I have alluded to previously.

"Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull (better known as her pseudonym Posie Parker), who is known in the United Kingdom for her strident anti-trans activism as well as in the United States for harassing the trans rights advocate Sarah McBride, recently appeared on the YouTube channel of French-Canadian far-right nationalist Jean-François Gariépy. Gariépy, for his part, believes in the need for a “white ethno-state” and regularly features the noxious Richard Spencer on his show."

Indeed beastly.

Thing is, where the gatekeeping was just sparple, this accusation is serious.

And was made based on no credible evidence at all.

Now ELO has to have someone else go and find evidence for them! Someone else! Well, that is a new one to be sure. Usually posters admit they haven't got evidence, they at least go and find it themselves.

You really couldn't come up with this!

A poster making serious claims has done so based on no evidence at all, believing that such a low bar would be credible to convince people, now has to go off and ask someone else to find evidence.

From Wiki….

if the references aren’t good enough for you I’m happy to do additional detective work to
dig up the dirt on her.

On 28 January 2019, Keen attended an event hosted by The Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. opposed to the Equality Act, which would add sexual orientation and gender identity to existing civil rights law, and posted a video from inside the conference praising their coverage of the issue.[1]

In February 2019, Keen traveled to Norway to speak at a red-brown Mot Dag conference alongside Hans Jørgen Lysglimt Johansen, a far-right Norwegian politician and Holocaust denialist, who she took a selfie with. Keen later said she didn't know who Lysglimt was.[2][42][43]

Keen has described Emily Zinos as "fabulous". Zinos is a member of the far-right Minnesota Family Council and believes that contraception and abortion "have an immediate destructive effect on society."[43]

According to Media Matters for America, Keen has repeatedly expressed support for far-right English activist Tommy Robinson.[2]

In October 2019, she appeared in an interview with Jean-François Gariépy, a far-right YouTuber who calls for a "white ethno-state" and has made videos with neo-Nazis Richard B. Spencer and Mark Collett as well as former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke. Keen later stated she did not realise he was a white nationalist. She also gave an interview to Soldiers of Christ Online, later stating she wasn't aware it was linked to the far-right,[5][44][6] as well as an interview with Sebastian Gorka, previously Deputy Assistant to the President for Donald Trump.[10]

In January 2020, Keen spoke at a panel organized by The Heritage Foundation and WoLF.[45]

On 24 March 2022, Keen appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight, a conservative American talk show, to discuss her protest of the NCAA Division I Women's Swimming Championship.[46]

During her "Let Women Speak" tour, Keen posed for a photo with Edgar J. Delatorre, a member of the Proud Boys who was present at the January 6 United States Capitol attack.[10]

Helleofabore · 13/01/2023 15:46

beastlyslumber · 13/01/2023 15:27

Indeed.

So in fact, the only person who is associating with holocaust deniers is ELO.

Please provide evidence of the following:

  1. ELO pushing back against ideologies - what ideologies? What does 'pushing back' mean in this context?
  2. KJK sharing a platform with holocaust denier
  3. KJK rubbing shoulders with a holocaust denier
