I just love this woman! She undoubtedly has the Midas touch when it comes to marketing and publicity.

I have been to several of her events over the years, and she has time for each and every woman who comes to see her.

Any other fans here?

I'm still waiting for the first TRA to make rational arguments and not resort to insults and guilt by association remarks.

And the Daily Mail said he 'switched sides' to support Standing for Women.

So KJK supporter prosecuted for assault at Brighton event is correct.

If you persist in trying to frame this man as assaulting this individual as being a 'supporter' of KJK, I take it that you have inside knowledge of exacting which side he supported at the time of said testicle grab?

If not, you are attempting some kind of inference that KJK 'supporters' are violent. And this is quite a long reach considering he was initially supportive of the extreme trans rights activists.

Just to repeat for readers.

This was a man who reacted directly to a person calling him a fascist through a megaphone which then caused, from reading the three articles, others to shout that he was a fascist and other abuse. The man then seems to have assaulted the person bullying him and causing the crowd to bully him. The man at the time was over supporting the extreme trans activists still.

The people yelling that he was a fascist were extreme trans activists who were abusing women and two even screamed fascist at a baby.

Let's keep track on who did what and who supported who when the 'what' happened. Because it seems that a poster wishes to make some other point.

the guy that was rightly prosecuted, arrived at the rally in the side of the TRAs so he started the day as a Trans Rights Activist.

Thomas said that he had initially joined the counter rally of trans rights activists but decided to move over to Keen's side after hearing her speak.

Then he assaulted someone.

Glad he was prosecuted though you can't just go round grabbing men's balls.

So he woke up a TRA and then said 'No I really care about women's rights and that's why I'm going to go and squeeze another man's testicles'?

It's like when TRAs come on here, post transphobic utterances and then screenshot it to show how mean and transphobic we all are.

DarkDayforMN · 20/01/2023 13:32

Also I didn't realise that Hitler was the ultimate example of how taking domestic abuse seriously prevents violent men from taking their violence to the public sphere.

The rise of Hitler and the Nazis wasn’t inevitable — there were likely a few historical off-ramps. Hitler’s niece, who had been living with him, and with whom he had been rumored to be in a romantic relationship, was found dead with a gunshot wound in her lung. The death was not seriously investigated before being declared a suicide, but it is not hard to imagine that had this been investigated or become a scandal, it could have stopped Hitler’s personal ascent.

DarkDayforMN · 20/01/2023 13:29

This has to be the most politically infantile and historically illiterate posts I've ever read on this site.

The fanfiction made me laugh a lot. If only "suggestionsplease" had been around back in the day to make suggestions to Hitler! Everything would have been so different.

Strange how the Nazis weren't big fans of free speech when it was apparently such a great tool for them. They had notions that they should be the ones to control what people were and weren't allowed to say. Almost like... gasp!

(On a serious note, I just realised I could stand to know a lot more about this part of history, and found this fascinating article. www.thefire.org/news/blogs/eternally-radical-idea/would-censorship-have-stopped-rise-nazis-part-16-answers )

And the Daily Mail said he 'switched sides' to support Standing for Women.

So KJK supporter prosecuted for assault at Brighton event is correct.

Not really. He rocked up there to oppose KJK, so it’s was his opposition that caused him to be present in that location on that day at that time.
If no TRA protest had been organised, he’d likely never have been there at all ¯\(ツ)/¯

Since you are here, @Graysmouse why DO pro trans protestors constantly turn up at GC feminist/LGB events?

We don’t organise a GC presence at Trans Pride or pro trans political protests (eg the ones currently taking place re: blocking of GRR) - we organise our own events or stage interventions at events that are supposed to include us (eg lesbians at gay pride).

Why can’t we have an open mic speakers event or a Lesbian Strength march without transactivists turning up to hurl verbal abuse? We’d never do the same at a specific Trans Pride event - why such an imbalance?

Well it might have helped, no?

Oh no. I'm sorry you're right. Ensuring that Hitler was given multiple platforms to promote his hateful rhetoric and ensuring that his detractors were intimidated and threatened from speaking out against him was absolutely the right thing to do.

Thank goodness all those venues ensured his right to speak freely! Imagine what might have happened if someone had perhaps said no to him? Imagine if his hateful rhetoric had been shouted down? Imagine if people had spoken up freely and said ‘Well hold on a minute Adolf...I think perhaps you may be a bit obsessive on this issue about the Jews, eh? your tone is a bit... well... myopic, one-dimensional, vilifying of a minority group, and uh, frankly wrong.’

Imagine if people around him had maybe spoken up at an early stage..

“Here Ben....Adolf’s getting a bit weird about the Jews...And the Roma, and the homosexuals. He seems to blame them for everything at the moment.
He’s starting up with the hostile nicknames – calling them rats. Wants to get his microphone out and go and have a rant about them. It’s not looking brilliant and with the mood the nation is in at the moment, well... they’re looking for an easy scapegoat and might just buy into his worrying rhetoric..."

..." I think we should maybe have a chat with him and perhaps share our concerns with some others as, if he’s given free rein to shout about this, it could lead to further animosity towards these groups."

Thank goodness none of that happened.

Imagine how much worse it worse have been for the Jewish population, Germany, Europe and the world, had that happened!

O wait.

This has to be the most politically infantile and historically illiterate posts I've ever read on this site.

RoseslnTheHospital · 20/01/2023 13:08

How could any of us know exactly who or what he was supporting at the exact moment of the assault?

Probably just best to say "man attending KJK talk" rather than try to ascribe his affiliations at the time.

Why is so important for you to label this man as a "KJK supporter"?

Graysmouse · 20/01/2023 13:04

This is the man that was over listening to the extreme trans rights activists? Wasn't he there trying to work out what both sides were saying? It is absolutely right that he has been fined. But I think that this too is really quite important to note:

“The complainant admits he called Mr Thomas a fascist,” Mr Mackrell said.

“He had a megaphone and the whole crowd was cheering when he was called a fascist.

So, this man responded with violence to being bullied by the person that had their testicles squeezed.

See, another media source describes the man as a trans activist.

And the Daily Mail said he 'switched sides' to support Standing for Women.

Thomas said that he had initially joined the counter rally of trans rights activists but decided to move over to Keen's side after hearing her speak.

and

After the hearing, Thomas said: 'I was on one side but I switched sides when they started calling me a fascist and a penis predator.

'The other side just sounded a bit more sensible. They were saying people who were born men shouldn't go to a women's prison and that made more sense to me.'

Just watched KJ's response to Owen Jones - marvellous. Her passion is amazing.'

Ooh, cannot wait! She's just brilliant

I managed about 30 seconds of the OJ vid. Best description I've heard of him is 'a spiteful little boy'

mrshoho · 20/01/2023 08:27

Her latest video response to OJ is just phenomenal. So so powerful. She believes every word she speaks and it shows. Go KJ! Would be something to get her and OJ to sit and debate but doubt he would ever have the guts.

you and another poster said the mein kampf quoter was anti Semitic and I don’t know why that would be the case
