Well yes those words were in the poem I quoted but no one else who quoted it was triggered to be hidden, bit scared now! I literally just @'d you and wrote 'perfect' 😬 and p*nis wasn't even spelt the right way. Pretty sure we are allowed to swear on here!

CentaureaCyanus · 22/10/2022 19:34

Does anyone here remember the poster scottishmummy?

Yes a fan of brackets and short pithy sentences in Scottish.

GATHERING A PEACEFUL MOB AND CHANTING SLOGANS AT BRAZEN VAGINA-OWNING FOLK IS COMPLETELY LEGAL OF COURSE ESPECIALLY IF THEY WOMEN WERE BAITING THE BRAVE PROTESTORS

How do you know they were baiting them? And why are you shouting?

It's very confusing trying to remember what's considered a hate crime and what's a legally allowed protest. So shouting in a baying mob outside a pub directly against 2 women is absolutely fine, but misgendering a stranger on the internet warrants a police visit?

Peaceful protests are legal, the video I saw they were standing and singing, hardly a baying mob. Now choosing to protest outside two people having a quiet drink just over their opinions is questionable, however much they disagree with those opinions. Where the police get involved in 'misgendering on the internet' when you look into it, the crime investigated was Hate Crime or Incident, or Malicious Communication, etc. some so called GC people just use it as an excuse to bait people. Equally some TRAs are horrid, and some trolls pretend to be both to stir trouble.

Yes, that's right. All those wretched women wasting police time by putting up 'adult human female' stickers, drinking in pubs, calling men 'he' on the Internet -- it's a wonder police have time to commit all the offences we're starting to hear about.

Shocking. Their husbands should be shamed for not keeping them under better control.

To quote Stylist Magazine, [u]p until 1982, it was perfectly legal to refuse to serve women in British pubs, which were traditionally “male environments”.

Happily, this all changed in 1982, following the legal case of solicitor Tess Gill and journalist Anna Coote. The pair were banned from El Vino pub on Fleet Street for standing with their male colleagues at the bar, rather than sitting at the tables that women were confined to. They took their case to the Court of Appeal, where the ban was overturned in a landmark ruling – a massive win for women, who could no longer be refused service in pubs.

Looks like we're returning to traditional values.

JanieAllen · 22/10/2022 15:09

Flipping hell! surely there must have been something the police could have charged them with ? Breach of the Peace?
