I suppose harassing two middle aged women is the safest way to protest for those who actually really want to shout at their mums but don't have the courage.

Revolution for those who struggle to blow their own noses.

Montgomerie posted this today.

Easy to stand and hold a sign calling to take people's healthcare away in front of someone you know won't hurt you and has no power over you.

Someone you know won't hurt you, eh? Well that doesn't describe TRAs. It does describe middle-aged women.

I don't understand how it can be classed as a peaceful protest when they have a megaphone.

Peaceful means non-violent, it doesn't mean quiet.

PickAChew · 22/10/2022 19:44

Do these people also protest pubs full of old men? Some of those guys have some very wrong opinions about all sorts of things. They should be fair game, no?

You make a very good point. I don't see them outside a Millwall pub on a match day taking names for non PC thoughts for example

TheBiologyStupid · 22/10/2022 22:45

There I was thinking that the worst thing spread at softplay was Norovirus, but I was wrong...!

Boiledbeetle · 22/10/2022 22:28

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/10/2022 20:54

I don't understand why they do it, unless they want to intimidate women. I can't imagine following a trans activist to a pub and protesting outside.

I suspect most of the trans activists would be happier at soft play as i doubt they are old enough to get served in the pub

Unseelie · 22/10/2022 22:25

In a previous century they’d have lit a bonfire and burned the witches and considered themselves brave heroes.

It’s the same old hatred of middle-aged women with opinions, who don’t do what men tell them.

Sigh.

UrsulaPandress · 22/10/2022 22:11

Trust nae fucker.

JoanOgden · 22/10/2022 22:04

Come come, we all know that Maya has hair made of snakes and that if any innocent trans person comes within 50 metres of her they will immediately fall down dead.

Meanwhile, that Helen Joyce carries cyanide capsules at all times so that she can spike the drink of any non-binary person she encounters.

Indeed, Purgatory. "Right side of history" my arse.

I understand protests can be loud but honestly this is just so boring and tiring thinking that be drowning us out they will win. They just look like idiots. Do they really think they can bore us into stopping? They do realise many of us are mothers and know exactly how to deal with temper tantrums.

ArabellaScott · 22/10/2022 21:26

Yes, it's terrorism. Hounding and harassing women for holding wrong thoughts.

Glad to hear it. I watched that video and just felt my stomach turn over. The things that these courageous women have to put up with for holding a legal and ordinary point of view and voicing is disgusting.

SeemsABitHarsh · 22/10/2022 20:30

JoodyBlue · 22/10/2022 20:29

@SeemsABitHarsh I counted 14 people in that video standing around with no purpose but to intimidate 2 women. 14 v 2. In what scenario is that ever right? Faces covered. The women were having a drink. While I'm enjoying the lightheartedness here, it is actually terrifying to have to go through that again and again and again. The women bravely standing up to put a side of an argument are hugely courageous, we are all indebted to them. Even those who disagree with the issues they raise. Ask yourself 14 people intimidating 2 women. Is that right? Do not answer me with whataboutery.

Actually I don't agree with the protest standing outside the pub. I see no reason why the women enjoying a private drink should be the subject of that.

AnOldCynic · 22/10/2022 20:30

"If these are your children you might want to have words with them." 😂

Maya is a ⭐️
