At least it wasn't agitato, thank god for small mercies.

ArcaneWireless · 25/10/2022 17:22

Or a semi quaver at the thought of same.

TheBiologyStupid · 25/10/2022 17:07

If you play the piano with your prick doesn't everything end up a little sharp?

Unless you drop the lid then it’s flat.

SidewaysOtter · 25/10/2022 16:33

Sure, protest outside the event. But don’t follow people to the pub.

That’s the nub of the thing, isn’t it? It’s nothing to do with the event or the organisation, it’s to do with harassing two individuals who are acting in private capacity. Because picking off individuals is how nasty little bullies behave.

I don’t know how you play piano with a penis, but you hum it etc.

SudocremOnEverything · 25/10/2022 14:51

I’m not sure it can be termed a protest if you follow someone to the pub - where they’re simply having a drink with a friend - and harass them as a group.

That’s not protesting against a position or a policy. It’s straight up harassment of someone you don’t agree with.

Sure, protest outside the event. But don’t follow people to the pub.

As a finale, JG took an (orange, sorry, presidential) organ and squashed it against two keys in succession with JG's own hand on top of the presidential organ, exerting enough pressure to make those notes sound.

It wasn't really playing, as such.

Does anyone else read these threads and have that moment of jarring disbelief that there are adults actually having to talk about other apparently rational adults who carry on like this?

Pretty sure 'badly' is what we can accurately guess and which is sufficient information for people with normal levels of curiosity.

I'm also interested in exactly how one would manage to play a piano with their cock. Videos circulating on social media unfortunately miss this part out.

That's probably a relief to be fair marg

It's bringing back memories of the 'tits on a keyboard' thread 😀

I mean if a man dressed as a woman get play piano with their
Cock on telly I could show my arse with impunity . That would be my argument like.

I would honestly pay money to see that (and fund your defence)

Thanks. Get crowdfunding. 😂

It's just all a bit shit really. I was talking to a woman at FiLiA today about the arrests last night. I want to be brave and stand up for what I believe but I don't know if I would in Dr Em's situation. Like a lot of us, I would lose my job if I got arrested and I can't afford that. I know I shouldn't let TRAs "win" by being too scared to question them if in a situation like that, but I can't risk my livelihood. Thankfully the black Pampers were in nursery when I was at FiLiA so no issues there, but this kind of thing seems to be getting more common.

Mollyollydolly · 24/10/2022 23:32

I grew up in a pub. In the 70s/poss early 80s there was a vault and a lounge. Women weren't allowed in the vault, men only. If women wanted a pint they were served two halves because it wasn't ladylike. In my lifetime. I'm not going back there. Fuck that.

Yep 2 women arrested for telling a man to get out of the ladies.

ARRESTED

Seriously fuck my life .
I'm going to be devils advocate and say something else might have been said other than "please male person this is a loo for ladees don't you know " but right now actually nothing would surprise me .... I'm counting my days to retirement.

Yes, that's right. All those wretched women wasting police time by putting up 'adult human female' stickers, drinking in pubs, calling men 'he' on the Internet -- it's a wonder police have time to commit all the offences we're starting to hear about.

This post is crying out for a like button. 😄

To quote Stylist Magazine, [u]p until 1982, it was perfectly legal to refuse to serve women in British pubs, which were traditionally “male environments”.

Happily, this all changed in 1982, following the legal case of solicitor Tess Gill and journalist Anna Coote. The pair were banned from El Vino pub on Fleet Street for standing with their male colleagues at the bar, rather than sitting at the tables that women were confined to. They took their case to the Court of Appeal, where the ban was overturned in a landmark ruling – a massive win for women, who could no longer be refused service in pubs.

Looks like we're returning to traditional values.

I didn't know that. As a student in the 70s there were pubs near my university that wouldn't serve women with pints. Two half glasses, but not in a pint glass.

Bloody women and their opinions again. It’s as bad as lesbians sitting on chairs.

I didn't know adults needed permission to go to the pub. Who decides?

Its not adults its biological women who believe in biology that require permission. They can't be trusted apparently.
