I was reading an article that scientists had discovered transgender chimps. Is that possible? I had heard of gay dogs, but not trans chimps.

Animals don’t always behave in stereotypical ways according to sex shocker….

How would a chimpanzee inform as a researcher that it felt it was in the wrong body?

That sounds like a lazy headline. I'd be interested to hear exactly what they've found - chimpanzee social groups are complex and fascinating. I highly doubt they're changing pronouns.

The scientists or the chimps?

I'm not sure there is much distinction with this sort of 'science'.

Either
