Ironically this is TWs opportunity to realise being a woman isn't all about make up and frills. It also includes being shat on by your government if it suits.

Maybe the draft gives TW the most authentic experience of womanhood yet 🤔🤣

Indeed.

Marynotsocontrary · 11/10/2022 16:55

I don't want to go off track and I really do agree about it being infuriating @Baldieheid.
Still don't agree with your earlier point@BloodyHellKen, but let's leave it at that.

I agree with you Mary, conscription is a contentious issue, to say the least. The rights and wrongs of that are a separate issue though. The point here us that, contrary to all other situations, TWs gender identities not allowing them to be treated differently from all other males. It's infuriating that this is the only time it matters, and simultaneously karmic.

Nicely brought back on track @Baldieheid

Klinger did well in Korea, and in non regulation heels.

But I seem to remember Klinger wasn't trans he was trying to be certified insane.....😁

Biden does not even know who he is or where he is half of the time. However, Midterms are coming and women votes are important.

True, but to be fair this isn't some sort of new law. It's always been the law in the US which just goes to show how the whole TWAW is such nonsense. It's like that guy who said TWAW apart from dating - i.e. it's only true if it suits your current purpose.

The air time it is getting now is just a reminder of that law.

Marynotsocontrary · 11/10/2022 15:19

BloodyHellKen · 11/10/2022 15:10

Yes, that is true.

Also I think you've perhaps misunderstood my post and the point I was trying to make which was up until recently it was women who were being shat on (at the expense of men who feel they are women) with the lack of provisions of same sex spaces/womens sport etc.

No, I understand the background very well. I'm not at all a fan of trans ideology, as it happens.

bellinisurge · 11/10/2022 15:18

There are Ukrainian women right now who are fighting in combat zones. They are regular army rather than conscripts.

What do you think women in the military all over the world are doing? Sitting knitting? In modern warfare there are many roles that just doing require lots of physical strength. Think of someone sitting in the US operating a drone and killing a Taliban leader in Iraq. Now tell us why a woman isn't just as capable of doing that as a man and it won't have anything to do with rape.

Of course women absolutely can and do serve in the military, including some combat roles, as part of the regular army.

But a draft is different - it's designed for scooping up a whole load of able bodies to be able to chuck at the enemy in a short space of time, on the front line. Most women will be far less effective in that situation than most men. Look at the situation in Russia, they are rounding up men and barely giving them time to learn how to fire a gun before sending them to Ukraine. In that situation women are not as useful to you as men.

Marynotsocontrary · 11/10/2022 15:16

Baldieheid · 11/10/2022 15:11

I don't think they're being shat on specially, Mary. They're male, so they are being treated exactly the same as all the other eligible males. That's true equality. Allowing this subset of males to be treated differently from other males would be unfair.

I find the draft situation terrifying. To be clear I think all males are being shat on by their government. And I am going to stop saying shat on now I think...

Baldieheid · 11/10/2022 15:12

True equality within the male sex, I should have said.

Marynotsocontrary · 11/10/2022 15:04

@BloodyHellKen My point is that transwomen are being shat on (in this particular instance) because they're biological men, not because they identify as women.

Baldieheid · 11/10/2022 15:01

Yes, Mary, you are correct. It's men being shat on by their own govt, irrespective of their gender identity.

Oh this is beautifully put.
Yes, here's the authentic womanly experience for them, all wrapped up in army fatigues. Identify yourself out of that, lovelies.

bellinisurge · 11/10/2022 14:36

The draft is different to volunteer army. If people are being drafted then the country is on some sort of war footing and has to think about protecting its population. Which, I suppose, means protecting women who will grow the next generation. Makes me shudder even saying that.

That said, women should be drafted into non-combat support activities as they were in this country during WWII.

"all women thinking it is fine to send young men to fight and die but they are exempt"
Yes, all women really think this 😂🙄

I think you are missing the whole point of this thread which is that TWAW for as long as it's useful. Once it's not useful they are just men.

ancientgran · 11/10/2022 14:33

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 11/10/2022 13:26

Yep. One man can impregnate multiple women, but each woman can only bear (usually) one live young at a time, so a loss of breeding males is far less significant than a loss of breeding females.

Plus male average strength is much higher than female, so most men can be made into effective enough soldiers, capable of carrying the heavy equipment, body armour, weaponry etc fairly quickly and easily. Most women will require a far longer time period to develop the physical strength required, and a far greater number will not be able to do so.

Plus standard issue military gear is made for men not women, so body armour etc won't fit women. Interchangeable kit on a battlefield is useful.

Plus men have higher levels of aggression, due to testosterone and societal conditioning, making men more easily shaped into soldiers who will kill when ordered.

Plus the psychological impact of being able to tell men they are fighting to keep "their" women safe.

Plus women are vulnerable to rape in war. Women being raped has a detrimental impact on the moral of the country/ fighting alliance - babies born of rapes by enemy soldiers disrupt the "us Vs them" dynamic.

Really, there are a lot of reasons why women haven't been subject to the draft, none of which apply to transwomen.

What do you think women in the military all over the world are doing? Sitting knitting? In modern warfare there are many roles that just doing require lots of physical strength. Except women do escape the draft and it is the men being shat on by old men and all women thinking it is fine to send young men to fight and die but they are exempt.
