Cameron sounds absolutely charming. I wonder if the SNP will do anything?

Lovely rice pudding, I’m not sure why you appear to believe that I am accountable to you or need to answer your highly questionable points.

Lovelyricepudding · 29/09/2022 10:59

Honeysuckle16 do you agree with Nicolas Sturgeon that women's concerns around self I'D at 'not valid' and that it was shameful of opposition MSPs to meet protestor who had concerns?

Do you agree that children should be taught that they can choose to be a boy or a girl and 4 year olds who tell the teacher they are the opposite sex should be immediately affirmed in that sex by the school?

Do you agree with the SNP leader in the commons that a sex pest should be supported over their victim?

Do you agree with the statement by the SNP minister at Holyrood that predatory men never pretend to be something they aren't? (And so follow's they knew the predatory men they have had as ministers or as advisors were predatory and saw no issue employing them)

Do you agree that the definition of woman should be whether they have a stereotypically female name on a gas bill?

I do wonder what they're teaching young people at university these days.

Wonder no longer - they teach gender ideology. That gender blasphemers must be burnt at the stake. That no one must challenge this ideology or exhibit critical thought. Challenge is unsafe and causes literal genocide.

That must really help their graduate employability and % employed after 6m of graduation stats! 😂

Judging by his linkedin profile (pronouns he/they) he should be concentrating on finding a real job as contact tracer surely has little future? Like most early twenties something's, he should be trying to get a decent job. How do they have time to do these voluntary, nonsense jobs? And aren't they worried about their profiles? I wouldn't hire him based purley on the silly pronouns and unprofessional photo on LinkedIn. Many hiring managers are GC/women. I do wonder what they're teaching young people at university these days. Don't they get SM training?

He hasn’t been ‘hired’ by anyone. As I stated in my previous post, this is a voluntary position for the branch only. He would be proposed and seconded by other people who may not have known him out with him attending branch meetings.

I know. I didn't SAY he's 'been hired' by the SNP. It's clearly a voluntary (nonsense) post. His linkedin though profile says 'looking for work' so he's clearly trying to get hired into an actual paid role AS WELL. So I am querying why these types don't realise how damaging their SM posts are towards this aim as I, and nobody I know, would not hire anybody INTO A PAID role with a SM presence like his. Please read more carefully.

The only thing that surprises me about this is the revelation that the SNP has a London branch.

Same here.

Honeysuckle16 · 29/09/2022 10:31

And why on earth would you make a student a minister of anything?
**
Scrollingleaves, talk about Chinese whispers, he’s not the ‘minister’ of anything, nowhere near it. This is a voluntary, unpaid post, limited to the London branch who are likely to meet every 3 months or so. That’s it.

The media would like it to be much more but that’s the extent of the story.

Posted too soon. You can ask why this individual was not removed and also ask the leadership to condemn threats made against Joanna Cherry. I am sure the other members and leadership would be pleased to clear up the delay.

Lovelyricepudding · 29/09/2022 09:59

Good news though Honeysuckle16, it is the party conference next week so you can ask why this

Why do they keep putting such young people into very responsible jobs?

I do think these guys probably think it is normal to talk that way. Maybe not specifically to women, but to people who do not think the right things and are probably evil Tories.

I agree. He is not remotely qualified for the job except it seems he was the Equalities Officer at London Met Film School.
TQ is not the only characteristic to be protected by an Equalities minister. And why on earth would you make a student a minister of anything?

I am not sure what his gender expression or pronoun is by the way. No offence is intended if I have it wrong. In the video shouting ‘witch’ he looks like a woman, but in Linkedin profile photo a man.

I think speaking about women in that way must be quite normal in the SNP

This is not normal in the SNP. I’ve been a member of the SNP for almost 40 years, attended and spoken at conference and been active in all their campaigns. I’ve never heard this language used at any time or in any situation.

This post is for the London branch of the SNP and the person‘s responsibilities are limited to that branch only. It is a voluntary, unpaid post, and he would likely have been proposed and seconded by two other members who might have known little about him.

The media have dug up his previous posts which are appalling and unacceptable.

I think most members and supporters of the SNP would want him removed smartish.

So why hasn't he been removed? The truth is while it might bother some members it doesn't bother the leadership. Indeed given the SNP party's attitude to not only this individual but others too, it would seem to simply reflect the party''s policy.

FOJN · 29/09/2022 09:27

Its a shame that NS didn't see fit to respond to Joanna Cherry when she was made aware that a member of the party had sent her rape threats.

Perhaps you support a political party in which every member, supporter councillor, elected official, MP and MSP are squeaky clean?

well that would be nice

depends of definition of squeaky clean 🤔

not threatening to beat up women which you’ve obviously said is appalling would be a start…not racist or homophobic as well. Pretty low bar

It’s almost as if they want these twerps to yell out these things (is is what they are thinking too?) or they haven’t ever heard of reputation management.

but the SNO were always a joke. The party of ranty, shoulder chippy wee ‘freeeeeedoooooommmmm!’ types.

Helleofabore · 28/09/2022 20:33

Another gem of find! Do the SNP have so little choice? The 'witch screamer' didn't last long. Mind you Nicholson has clung in there.

They got the boot?

DdraigGoch · 29/09/2022 07:44

“The SNP seem to actively want mindless thugs in their ranks"

Anyone who's seen the behaviour of their activists would not be surprised by this.

WomaninBoots · 29/09/2022 00:08

I don't support any political parties at the moment. They're all shit.

Honeysuckle16 · 29/09/2022 00:01

WomaninBoots Sadly no political parties are completely free of unsuitable people. The posts from this individual are appalling, as I wrote previously. Perhaps you support a political party in which every member, supporter councillor, elected official, MP and MSP are squeaky clean?

WomaninBoots · 28/09/2022 23:38

In that case we shall await his removal with the keenest of anticipation.

Do you think we should hold our breath or might that be dangerous?

Disturbing thought, isnt it?

I'm many of us were probably twits in our times late on a weekend night as students, but I doubt many freely spilled out a desire to go and seriously injure random strangers. That kind of thing tends to not be seen as normal behaviour to well balanced, socially developed people with good mental health.
