Christ, I just googled Ed Gein; I recommend NOT doing that.

That is really horrible

Ah. Not a fetish at all. Oh no.

If it’s ok for this person to wear comedy fake tits with the nipples showing to school because that’s how they’d like to express their gender and their true self, would it be okay for a teacher who is into BDSM to turn up in a latex gimp suit?

Of course. It's called 'bringing your whole self to work'.

Oh fgs really?

We're not allowed to suggest this individual might be be motivated by fetish? Seriously?

Mods, I get the external pressures, but this has reached ridiculous levels of silencing debate.

Take one look at that photo of Kayla and think about what we're all colluding in here. I can only imagine how history is going to judge this sorry episode.

And now my reply to your post has gone as well.

So we're not allowed to say that we object to a man putting on a woman costume and parading his fetish around children. Or that gender non-conforming children are being used as human shields to defend the 'right' of these men to flaunt their fetish in public.

‘femskin’ 😬

Perhaps he'll keep escalating, though I can't imagine where he'll go next.

Giant padded arse cheeks? Or maybe one of those head to toe silicon woman suits?

cake, as noted in that article above, paraphilias are almost exclusively confined to males. I do think it can be hard for many women to understand what drives them. Perhaps its an area that would benefit from more research.

ArabellaScott · 21/09/2022 13:17

Given the recent inclusion of a whole chapter of the new WPATH guidelines being given over to 'Eunuch' 'identities', I am curious as to whether there may be diverse reasons for males to wish to have their genitals removed.

IcakethereforeIam · 21/09/2022 13:12

Yes, @Datun that's a fair point. I wonder, idly, not obsessively, about the ones that do. But even the rest of them, you can't spend your days in constant arousal, can you? I clearly don't understand male sexuality.

Gender euphoria, it may have been coined as a flipside to dysphoria, but it's a high falutin' way of saying you've got an erection, or at least a semi..

Datun · 21/09/2022 13:04

Sorry, don't have their penis Inverted.

Zebracat · 21/09/2022 13:02

I am offended by this persons presentation. I don’t always mind people transgressing as some boundaries need breaking down. But artificial breasts that size , whether on a man or a woman make me very uncomfortable. And I do recall some examples of women having their breasts inflated to similar sizes.
I have a 40 f bra size, and it has been the bane of my life, with people making all sorts of assumptions about me. And it is difficult to avoid a porn star aesthetic. Some people have huge natural breasts, and enjoy them, or at least find a way to accommodate them, and I applaud this. But if they were teaching my child, I’d want them to be contained, and I would not want nipples or cleavage on display, anymore than I want them seeing arse cracks or genitalia.
For all the talk of passing, that we don’t even know there are men in our changing rooms and toilets, it does seem that for some, a trans identity involves dressing as if going to a fetish club. The exhibitionism does worry me.

Datun · 21/09/2022 13:00

Most of them don't part with their penis. Their penis is a very important part. In fact they've coined the term gender euphoria, on the basis of how their penis reacts.

I think statistically it's something like only 97% of men who identify as women have their penis inverted.

IcakethereforeIam · 21/09/2022 12:55

I struggle imagining how that particular fetish works. I don't understand how any man would willingly part with their penis. Not owning one myself, I can't. But also, if they get aroused by imagining themselves as women, how can they function when they spend their days living their fetish? Doesn't it get boring?

I hope the teacher is angling for a payoff. I like to think he and the school are in a Mexican standoff, to see who blinks first. Perhaps he'll keep escalating, though I can't imagine where he'll go next.

MangyInseam · 21/09/2022 12:50

Datun · 21/09/2022 10:39

What does he mean by that? Is it that he thinks people are too afraid to call it a paraphilia?

Is he talking about people who can accept gender ideology, but not gender ideology when it's expressed like that?

I don't think he's wrong, in the end. Lots of people will feel strongly that it's wrong but won't be able to articulate it well.

MangyInseam · 21/09/2022 12:43

Part of the problem may be that the people defending this are simply unable to put "trans" and "fetish" together in their minds.

To some extent I think women can be more prone to this, because if you lack imagination, which is common, and haven't any real experience of having that kind of sexual proclivity or the potential for it, it seems very alien. I've talked to women who simply can't get their head around AGP - it just seems like a crazy thing someone made up.

The other problem is that they have associated idea like this with things like seeing gay men as risks to kids. They have accepted totally that this was a bigoted idea. It goes beyond that though - quite a lot of women who think this way won't even allow themselves to recognize some of the stuff that goes on in the Peter Thatchall end of the gay community, particularly some of the attitudes around sex with teenagers. It's too close to the possibility that teens might be at risk with those individuals, and that is filed under "things you can't think."

Thee are a lot of thought terminating ideas among progressives, and it seems to really impede thinking about things in a realistic way, much less deeply.

Made me remember this:

For pities sake don’t give Kayla any ideas!

TheKeatingFive · 21/09/2022 12:38

Hi @TheKeatingFive just to clarify - we removed your post for generalising, which breaks our guidelines. Thanks.

Well it's an important point though, isn't it?

If this example clearly indicates paraphilia, what size/shape doesn't? Where is that line and how do we justify supporting it? I see Kayla's situation as challenging assumptions in all kinds of ways that go beyond one individual.

ArabellaScott · 21/09/2022 12:26

In fact, as a previous poster has said, the unconsenting part is often part of the thrill. with boundaries being pushed ever further, in order to keep transgressing without consequences.

I think the 'consequences' are often part of it too, tbh. From what I understand, paraphilias tend to escalate.

www.medicinenet.com/paraphilia/article.htm

Yes, when I said consequences I really meant consequences that then prevented the paraphilia from being carried out. Like firing the teacher.

I still wonder whether or not this man is trolling for a payout, though. Apparently there was no hint of this before he came back to school after the holidays.

That's presumably what's behind transvestites becoming transsexuals. First it's just clothing, then the body itself is modified.
