Boston Children's Hospital receives bomb threat after being "targeted" by Libs Of Tik Tok

Is that hospital workers saying they carry out hysterectomies on children younger than 16? Is that what she's really actually saying, because I feel a bit sick.

Sounds like the Twitter account are whistleblowers, and we know what tends to happen to whistleblowers.

Of course, bomb threats are unacceptable, I'd hope that goes without saying.

Regardless of who actually did it, then you've got partisan actors more than willing to run with their preferred interpretation

Yeah in America the opposition to genderism is dominated by the right wing - feminists have been trying to raise the alarm for years but feminists don't have much of a platform. So now the likes of Matt Walsh have latched on to genderism as a useful political issue for them, they've brought a lot of aggressive men just looking for an outlet with them. It's absolutely fucked up, did anyone see the pictures of the drag queen brunch for children thing at a library in Texas where protestors on both sides were armed? I can't understand the parents who'd bring their children to that! Violent aggressive men on both sides of the "debate" over there.

Yep. There's some real crazy out there. The level of tribalism is such that I can equally believe that it's a right-winger so convinced the "leftist agenda" is so satanic that they need to be putting the fear of god into them, or someone so neck deep in the "protect trans kids" stuff that they think anything is justified in trying to discredit legitimate critics.

Or could equally be just a random troll who sees the opportunity for mischief or a sort of "power", wanting to pour fuel onto a fire.

Regardless of who actually did it, then you've got partisan actors more than willing to run with their preferred interpretation, in the absence of any facts, or even in contradiction to known facts. Just like the daft KF "swatting" thing last week.

Libs of Tik Tok is an account run by some right-wing American woman who mainly reposts Tik Tok videos from insane teachers about how exciting it is to be taking the children in their class on "gender journeys" and the like.

Basically sunlight on a subculture to a wider audience.

I believe she recently reposted a bunch of cheery videos from Boston's Children Hospital about all their lovely "gender-affirming" care, and they didn't like the wrong people seeing their promo videos.

Plus they're busy editing all their web-pages to try to deny that they would ever perform procedures on under-18s, or ever have, despite lots of evidence to the contrary (and the WPATH guidelines they say they follow saying they should).

So there's been a bunch of culture-war step up. Mostly right-leaning figures involved though, unlike here.

I believe BCH could be regarded as a sort of "Tavistock" in the US? They're one of the lead main centres for child "gender" stuff?

BCH are claiming it's all "misinformation" and "terrorism" etc. Classic playbook.

I don't know what libs of tiktok are but a bomb threat is awful and all violence threatened or otherwise is completely unacceptable, full stop.
