Lesbians not welcome at Gay Pride

This is horrifying. Women (lesbians) told by police they are going to be removed because abuse is being hurled at these women.

Police do nothing about the person shouting the abuse.

All they have is name-calling, which might have some significance in the playground (and TRAs are mentally/emotionally still there), but grown women are far beyond caring about that. And way above responding in kind.

Helleofabore

You only have to look at Jameela Jamil to see how fast the TRA community can turn on someone.

Helleofabore · 06/09/2022 17:37

Indeed Fripp. If you label something as transphobic or homophobic you, according to at least one witness in Allison Bailey's case, get to lash out like a child with abuse and even worse, very adult threats. All apparently, deserved.

We have seen here how quickly some posters use the term transphobic to simple describe people who disagree with them and point out the deficiencies in their illogical arguments.

Then, what also happens, is they are ejected out of the community. To allow some people to claim that everyone 'agrees' with males being given access to rights and protections meant for females creating conflicts in those rights and protections.

When you see the dishonesty, it just keeps coming.

Wellies54 · 06/09/2022 17:34

Male person who says I am male but I am feminine and wish to reflect that in my appearance: 100% support.
Male person who says I am a woman and demand access to all female safe spaces and am traumatized by a woman speaking about her body and I hate anyone who challenges this. 0% support.
Medical intervention for adults who have had appropriate counselling and spent time weighing up the consequences. Sensible idea.
Medical intervention for vulnerable teenagers who have not had appropriate counselling and have no idea of the consequences: horrific idea.

What about all the trans women who happily still accept that they are, and always will be, male? Like Blair White and many others? Are they transphobes too?

According to the TRAs they are transphobes and have received a huge amount of abuse for having a differing view.

"why should we care"

Message you received. You don't care about trans people. I admire the honesty.

And the evidence of reciprocative care to females and especially lesbians is where exactly? 🤔

I can find the 'die in a grease fire'
and 'learn to cope with cock'
and 'reframe your trauma'
and 'punch' and 'dirt nap' and 'kerb stomp' comments with memes of male people in blood stained t shirts grinning with baseball bats
and 'cis scum'
and 'vagina fetishist'

Gosh. Some TQ+ people just don't care about lesbians and females, do they? 😭

"why should we care"

Message you received. You don't care about trans people. I admire the honesty.

I care about female transitioners and boys and young men who are experiencing gender-related distress. I care about feminine gay men who are trafficked into prostitution in South American countries. I care about horrid pockets of obvious inequality such as the incredibly high rates of HIV amongst the transitioned male African American population and I would like to see progress so that they have the same life expectancy as others diagnosed with HIV.

but no, I don’t care about the feelings of the adult male transitioners in the UK who seek to remove the rights of women.

I care about some transitioned people but ‘trans people’ is not a group that shares a single immutable characteristic. You say transphobia, I say ‘feminism’.

potato, potahto

BoredofthisCrap7 · 06/09/2022 15:31

"You don't care about trans people. I admire the honesty."

Do they care about women?

They're a bunch of fema-phobes!

There has never been such a threat to women's rights, safety, privacy, dignity and language as the trans movement.
You only have to look at any women's rights march or demonstration recently to see EXACTLY what side the hatred is on, what side the threats are on, what side the foul language is on, what side the physical violence is on, what side the intimidation is on.

People too scared and cowardly to even show their faces.

For people who claim to "want" to be women, or identify "as women", they sure hate us a lot.

Norma27 · 06/09/2022 15:23

@Hearach15 as I said, call me whatever names you want. I don’t care what you think. You have shown you can only use meaningless slurs.
I am very proud that I am teaching my daughters they can say NO to anything and anyone for whatever reason they want to.
I have also ensured they realise not to ‘be kind’ if that means they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
Throw more of your baseless slurs around. It is so interesting to watch you. You are throwing so much sunlight on what gender ideology is about.
Women are saying NO. We will state the truth, no matter how much that upsets you or any other man.

PostmortemNow · 06/09/2022 15:22

Once you've fucking thrown the whole objective,
observable physical & biological reality out of the window, there's nothing left BUT feelings.
Hurt ones, in particular.
And then the game begins:
my feelings are better than yours.
Next logical step - screams and howls of TRANS
genocide.

PostmortemNow · 06/09/2022 15:10

@Hearach15
"Fair enough if you don't care about the feelings of trans people. It's good that you're honest instead of pretending otherwise."

May I gently enquire, at which point and on what basis
@Hearach15 identified and/or established what the feelings of trans people are.
Additionally, what makes Them so uniquely placed
to act as a guardian and protector of those
(supposedly extremely fragile) feelings?

And - in the overall hierarchy of feelings as such -
where would (or even should) we put those unfortunate
ones felt by Lesbians, for instance?
Or simpletons like me?
And - again - on what basis?
Are some feelings more equal than others?
More special?
More (fucking love this term) valid?

I'm ready to be lectured and re-educated here.
Open mind, me.

TheClogLady · 06/09/2022 14:50

why should we care when the end result of pandering to those feelings is the loss of our rights, language, spaces and services?

some of us have had to actively fight off the female socialisation that taught us the feelings of male transitioners were not to be questioned, let alone pushed back against.

it’s been a hard slog to get to the point where i am comfortable calling a male a male without apology, you can’t shame me back into compliance now.

no thank you.

So, to be absolutely clear, your definition of "transphobic" is "is not prepared to put trans people's feelings above every other group's feelings, needs or safety"?

@Hearach15
"As I said, I much prefer it when people openly admit to being transphobic rather than pretending otherwise."

Nobody here, as I can see, needs any pretending.
For whatever reason.
People are just expressing THEIR feelings and opinions.
Redefining ad nauseam the ultimate insult of
"transphobia/transphobic" won't wash any longer
as it's now completely fucking meaningless.
Faffing about with it and tossing it at (almost)
everyone just in case they don't or won't toe a particular line of current social dogma will NOT help to advance
the TRA cause. Or whatever it now is.

(Jesus possibly wept at this point...)

BoredofthisCrap7 · 06/09/2022 14:45

Hearach, HOW is acknowledging biology transphobic?

We have to hurt people's feelings all the time in some situations don't we?
If my child wants to jump off a building because they think they can fly, I would probably stop them doing that. It might hurt their feelings.
If a 4 foot tall, 6 stone woman wanted to become a heavyweight boxer, it might be impossible for her, and might hurt her feelings if she was stopped from doing that.
Some things are governed by common sense and physical reality.
Stating them is not "phobic" just because it hurts someone's feelings.

Who do people think they are, that they are somehow entitled to go through life without anyone hurting their feelings and others being compelled to use THEIR choice of words or language?
Who else in society thinks they have that much power?
Apart from the sacred caste?

Hearach15 · 06/09/2022 12:04

If you think you can quote a poll of the general British population and think it is somehow reflective of the views of the British LGBT population you know even less about polling than you do LGBT issues.

Professor Sir John Curtice is the best in the business, I would start with him.

Reposting this

Which specific poll are you referring to that I applied to the UK LGBT population?

This piece from "The Critic" (an old article I saved)
offers a good insight into the general and intellectual
fragility of the TRA movement (and why Lesbians
are not welcome anymore):

(...)"Because, like many trans women, Chu’s conception of herself is not just as feminine, or even womanly, but as, crucially, female: a woman in every possible sense of the word. Yet at the same time Chu writes of the vulnerability of that identity, the constant internal and external threat of invalidation:

'Gender transition begins, after all, from the understanding that how you identify yourself subjectively — as precious and important as this identification may be — is nevertheless on its own basically worthless. If identity were all there were to gender, transition would be as easy as thinking it — a light bulb, suddenly switched on. Your gender identity would simply exist, in mute abstraction, and no one, least of all yourself, would care. On the contrary, if there is any lesson of gender transition — from the simplest request regarding pronouns to the most invasive surgeries — it’s that gender is something other people have to give you. Gender exists if it is to exist at all, only in the structural generosity of strangers.'"

Food for thought...

"I really do not care if I hurt their/his feelings."

Fair enough if you don't care about the feelings of trans people. It's good that you're honest instead of pretending otherwise.

I don’t care about hurting his feelings when he wants me to lie for him, and to disregard my own comfort and safety.

DodoPatrol · 06/09/2022 14:14

I would be so much happier if we could all stop pretending we think middle-aged dads are suddenly women, or girls we've known from babyhood are men.

DodoPatrol · 06/09/2022 14:12

But you want people to 'pretend otherwise' when it comes to pretending we can't see sex.

Or indeed pretend we cant' remember someone's sex -- in the case of most of the transpeople I know, we've known them since long before their transition.

Hearach15 · 06/09/2022 14:06

Norma27 · 06/09/2022 13:11

@Hearach15 if some men find the truth offensive then tough. I really do not care if I hurt their/his feelings.
call me all the names you want. I don’t care about that either.
If it offends you that we call a man a man, then tough. I don’t care.
The biological truth and the safety, privacy and dignity of women is what I do care about.

"I really do not care if I hurt their/his feelings."
