Right. That does it. I’m buying a ticket for her show.

FunnyTalks · 17/08/2022 16:03

So she's not at all transphobic then, by anyone's definition unless you really are an out & out misogynist?

I'm so staggeringly bored by all things gender identity. I would really love it if the self-identified-as-kind brigade would just own the fact it's a men's rights movement. I'd have so much more respect for them.

valadon68 · 17/08/2022 15:58

This is why 'cis' is not just an innocuous prefix. It enables a culture where focusing only on 'cis' is not tolerated. This so clearly shows up the trans lobby as a movement which serves men's political interests.

Her 'crime' is not centering a group of entitled, narcissistic males with fragile egos in shows about female anatomy.

Her colleagues are a fucking disgrace.

This with fucking bells on.

Abhannmor · 17/08/2022 15:24

Saw her on Glinners YouTube. Very funny and a sound woman. The Fringe is dead. RIP

rightonthyme · 17/08/2022 15:17

Didn't Gussie Grips used to post here too?

Artichokeleaves · 17/08/2022 15:16

Females, not making your body and any conversation about it all about male people (and not prefacing any comment about it with a long long spiel about how male people are obviously much much more important when it comes to female biology and adding about nine grovelling apologies before you get to the point...

is hate and will get you spat on.

Gee whizz it's getting like living through the last days of a particularly unstable @Roman Emperor.

Tallisker · 17/08/2022 15:13

I must make every effort to go and support her and watch her show, even though it's over four hours away. I cannot have this! It would be fabulous to get all the women from the 'undercarriage' thread on a bus to go and cheer her on. We'd need some strong pelvic floors or a shitload of tena ladies 😁

JoyDivisionOvenGlovesx · 17/08/2022 15:05

Oh I do hope she just keeps going. She seems incredibly resilient, especially against all this bollocks, so I’m assuming she will.

I couldn’t make Edinburgh this year, but her show would have been front and centre for me, if I could have.

littlbrowndog · 17/08/2022 15:05

She works with transgender people. And helps them

she helps women

she gets spat at by some wee tubes who are brainless

her fellow performers are too afraid to even look at her.

Scotland what a fine place to live in

PurpleWisteria · 17/08/2022 15:04

Fuck's sake.

Cismyfatarse · 17/08/2022 15:04

I saw her show last Friday. It was hilarious, informative and very well evidenced. She talks about the anatomy of the female reproductive system, but mostly the vulva, vagina and clitoris (less about wombs and ovaries).

She uses some very silly props to build a vagina out of cloth and talks about it all.

She cracks jokes about "minge mist" and "fanny farts". It is all superbly woman centred but she also talks about trans men as well because they too have these bits, even if they are affected by testosterone usage.

I bloody love her.

Why can't we talk about ourselves? Why am I not allowed this?

TheKeatingFive · 17/08/2022 14:57

Holy crap this has gotten way out of hand.

Thelnebriati · 17/08/2022 14:56

Ugh, I got that arse over tit, sorry Blush

Whatsnewpussyhat · 17/08/2022 14:56

QuimReaper · 17/08/2022 14:49

Is that right @Thelnebriati? The article says 'As well as attacks from strangers Ms Miller said fellow comics and staff she has worked with harmoniously for four years have shunned her, adding that in some cases she has worked successfully with them throughout six different festivals'. (The 'festivals' line makes it sound like fellow comics / venue staff.)

I'm bewildered by this - has she said anything about trans women in the course of the show, or is her crime literally just omitting to mention them?

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 17/08/2022 14:40

Oh no! But that's our very own Gussie Grips! She know everything there is to know about women's bits. Queen of the pelvic floor. What a nightmare 😥

Thelnebriati · 17/08/2022 14:34

It bears repeating that her colleagues in this situation are not comedians, but healthcare workers.
