An official compliant has been lodged with the @Conservatives Party in regard to @Baroness_Nichol’s online behaviour.

It comes after dozens of complaints were lodged with social media companies regarding her views on #trans.

The Conservative Party has been contacted for comment

twitter.com/ChamberVoice/status/1559229955543912450?t=wOEs_8EZI3NztrVZDlCUUA&s=19

Chamber voice is an on line 'news' outlet.

Apparently Twitter banned the Baroness, but immediately corrected after appeal.

They really are idiots, what do they think they achieve.

And if they think that trying to silence a Tory Baroness is the way to influence anyone, including the government, they're barking.
It's nothing to do with "silencing" a "Tory Baroness" (so? Even if they are a Tory Baroness, what then you can't ever be disagreed with, can't ever be deplatformed if you were ever to tip a bit too far?
I'm not going to blindly agree with everyone just because they're in a position of power which is how your comment comes across.

No I think that's all that's necessary for me to add now, thanks.
👍 Says it all.

Thanks. That was the intention.

I'm no TRA, but Emma Nicholson is, and always has been utterly objectionable, so if people are finally calling her out for her longstanding homophobia, bigotry, and dark-ages views, then all power to them
Exactly, and same

ObsilonMinos · 16/08/2022 23:43

She's a spiteful homophobe and has been for decades.

I've listened to the Baroness. She is formidable she totally gets the harm that gender ideology is doing to women and girls. Her reach is far beyond the UK. Transactivists and their allies need all voices that put doubt on their ideology to be terminated. They are so boringly predictable but I have to say their own goals are great for women and girls. They bring such sunlight to the world when they do their witch hunting.

There's a proper TRA campaign against the Baroness at the moment isn't there? Nice to see MN isn't being left out.

The last thing the UK needs is yet more dinosaurs in a totally unelected upper house subjecting us to their ignorance.

Good lord. It's got fuck all to do with the way she frames things and everything to do with how effective she is.

And anyone with an ounce of knowledge of this issue or the smallest perception knows it.

And if they think that trying to silence a Tory Baroness is the way to influence anyone, including the government, they're barking.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever known a movement so characterised by their supreme mastery of the own goal.

Stands to reason. Like all zealots convinced of their own righteousness they think shouting at critics to shut up counts as a means of persuasion. Fucking amateurs.

Anything to add to the discussion rather than "anyone with an alternative opinion equals TRA blah?"

No I think that's all that's necessary for me to add now, thanks.

Nice of you to want me to get more involved though, and you responded within seconds so you're clearly keen to have my input.

Bad luck getting the graveyard shift on the rota though.

PrimAndProperPearlClutcher · 16/08/2022 23:26

The NHS who recently linked to documents suggesting 'eunuch' should be accepted as a gender identity? I'm not sure they're getting good advice, tbh.

MargaritaPie · 16/08/2022 23:26

Some of her tweets were removed for "hateful conduct".

They protested against her because she said lesbian families were "neither normal nor natural" and said "every child deserves a mother and father".

If you don't think lesbians can raise children together you're homophobe and misogynist like she is.

You are also a homophobic misogynist if you think lesbians should sleep with people who have penises!

ToGanymedeAndTitan · 16/08/2022 23:24

Nice, so women waiting for reconstructive breast surgery post-breast cancer just get dumped to the bottom and told 'tough'
Exactly. Going by the logic on here, you don't "need" it.
It's purely to make you feel better, and surely there's better ways to make you feel happy with the body you have.

Women like Emma Nicholson make me consider the possibility of voting Conservative for the first time in my long life
Complete opposite for me in mine, just cements why I don't and won't.

I can’t comment on the tweet.

I do wonder if surgeons are honest about what is achievable with these operations and if they’re giving patients unrealistic expectations of what a ‘good outcome’ means. Given how the medical profession has mistreated and lied to women over the use of vaginal mesh and industrial silicon in breast implants I can’t imagine that they’re any more reliable when it comes to ‘bottom surgery.’

Datun · 16/08/2022 23:06

Cosmetic surgery should be right at the bottom of the list. Potentially harmful and unnecessary surgery shouldn't even be on the list.

Sums it up well.

So any surgery requiring the administration of General Anaesthesia then?

How can we show our support? I'm not on Twitter and they would ignore me anyway as I'm not backed by a pitchfork-wielding mob. Who should we contact at the Conservative party?

Women like Emma Nicholson make me consider the possibility of voting Conservative for the first time in my long life. The Tories must realise they gain votes every time some Labour or LibDem toady repeats the trans mantra. All they have to do is hold the line.

I may not actually bring myself to vote Tory. But as long as they're the only candidates I'm offered who don't want to erase women, I won't vote for any of their opponents.

Coyoacan · 16/08/2022 22:43

I didn't see the tweet, but I do find the idea of people mutilating their healthy bodies abhorent. Sorry Ganymede. I honestly think there has to be a better way to make people feel happy in their bodies.

ThinkingaboutLangClegosaurus · 16/08/2022 22:40

Lots of people are having to wait for surgery

And I would like everyone who is in pain, has a life-threatening disease or is becoming disabled to go to the top of the list.

Cosmetic surgery should be right at the bottom of the list. Potentially harmful and unnecessary surgery shouldn't even be on the list.
