Woman is visited by a PSCO and told to remove an "offensive" sticker, told that her thinking is wrong and that she needs to educate herself. Also that TWAW is a fact.

FFS what the fuck is going on...

Remember PC Gull who told Harry Millar that they needed to check his thinking.

It's interesting how these police officers want to police people's thoughts. When I had a "transphobia" complaint made against me to my employer, the anonymous-to me coward complainant asserted that "LuftBallon should not be permitted to continue her post if she retains these her opinions."

It was scary at the time, but writing it down like that just shows what little fascists they are.

BloodyCamping · 15/08/2022 16:12

i believe she needs to be sacked or permanently moved from a public facing role and retrained on equalities. This needs to act as a sharp public deterrent to other officers

BloodyCamping · 15/08/2022 16:09

details on misconduct in public office ….

www.cps.gov.uk/legal-guidance/misconduct-public-office

Definition of the Offence
The elements of the offence are summarised in Attorney General's Reference No 3 of 2003 [2004] EWCA Crim 868.

The offence is committed when:

a public officer acting as such;

wilfully neglects to perform his duty and/or wilfully misconducts himself;

to such a degree as to amount to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder;

without reasonable excuse or justification.

Also that's just the tip of the iceberg!

I'd be surprised if a PC would do that

Remember PC Gull who told Harry Millar that they needed to check his thinking. Also the officers who recently arrested the Hampshire veteran for reposting a swastika meme on Facebook.
Also I wonder whether or not the two officers who visited Kelly J's home recently, to accuse her of being "untoward about paedophiles", were PCs?

So how come the other two officers - who presumably the same training, didn’t act like a little red guard?

someone has too little training, too little knowledge, no compassion and a massive god complex.

The two officers were PCs and have proper training. The PCSO are community support, they don't have the training and won't have the same experience. They were basically doorstepping this lady like a gender zealot for no reason, I'd be surprised if a PC would do that.

They aren't the police but as PP has said, possibly influenced by the Stonewalling within the force.

KittenKong · 15/08/2022 14:54

But the good news is… with all the publicity, at least one PCSO will be getting a bit hit under the collar. I hope their more sensible colleagues have dobbed them in because this really isn’t helping the police image.

EsmaCannonball · 15/08/2022 14:25

The Lib Dem councillor is also a giant arse. The police should not be knocking on people's doors to re-educate them on their political views, full stop. That is not the role of the police, unless you want to live in the GDR.

As for 'provocative,' an author has just been left with life-changing injuries because many people found one of his novels provocative. I guess that's all right then, if the poor dears were a bit upset.

The claim that this sticker was more provocative than one that says, for example, 'Vote Conservative' or 'Ban the Hunt,' is really an acknowledgement that transactivists are more likely to react with disproportionate virulence to any dissent from their orthodoxy. In that light, even the original visit from the two police officers, who warned this woman that her sticker could attract trouble, was a bit sinister.

“Haven’t had much sleep so am still bit all over place at moment. One of my children is still a child who need to be able to protect, there are lots to consider regarding our circumstances incl me being in position can safeguard him. It’s also one of reasons why not disclosed which Police Force this is. I am not going to let this go as I stubborn about rules esp when those in position of authority abuse their powers. I know do need help as this is something can’t do on my own and so so grateful for all support, I just need to think my next step.”

Very sensible to take her time and consider how she wishes to proceed. If you happen to read this, Bella, know that nobody who cares about fairness would put pressure on you to do, or not do, anything. Only support here.

"The PCSO has been trained in gender identity ideology. She sincerely believes the false equivalence with racism. This training is almost certainly because the police
are indoctrinated via stonewall. It is this which makes us all unsafe."

It is.

She obviously doesn't care about bullying fragile rape survivors about their trauma. But she would have nothing to go on, if she hadn't been indoctrinated.

All the same old tropes came out, which we know are the result of 'training'. And, in every single case, they stop short of any sort of explanation, so the person intoning them has to resort to telling their audience to look at all up for themself.

I honestly don't get it. It would be a piece of piss to get any number of feminist activist groups to write some proper, legally compliant training.

Farm it out to every police force in the country, job done.

Just the one course. For every police force, every NHS trust, schools and universities.

That's an excellent idea. But I suspect anything that is a 'feminist group' is considered a 'hate group' by the current orthodoxy, and would not be entertained.

Torunette · 15/08/2022 14:11

"Well, I'm sure a couple of training courses aren't sufficient to reach that level of zealotry."

This was my feeling too. Normally, in the civil service, you get courses on equalities etc to train you on how to interact with people, and for people, with protected characteristics as per legislation.

This incident sounds as though the PCSO has been encouraged to act in a way that far supersedes any of that style of PSED training, or indeed, actual training about the relevant legislation.

Which then begs the question: just exactly what the hell is going on? And is this happening in policing incidents pertaining to different spheres of law?

VestofAbsurdity · 15/08/2022 14:08

That PCSO needs to be reprimanded, and retrained. Her ignorance is deeply disturbing, and her dictatorial approach, and lack of critical thinking are no credit to the police force.

That PCSO needs to sacked and not allowed to join any other Police Force, retraining someone that deeply embedded in Gender Ideology is a waste of time, that PCSO will never be able to police impartially therefore they should not be policing at all.

Treaclemine · 15/08/2022 14:03

I*'ve just listened to the recording. And shortly before, I was listening to an adaptation of Le Guin's Earthsea, Tehanu, and reading along with it. And that appalling PCSO (ours is lovely, BTW) is blurring into the character Aspen, a very nasty mage showing how he is superior to Ged and to the woman Tenar. Le Guin must have met folk like thi PCSO. And wished a dragon down on them
I hope that this person does get the message that whoever taught her what she is spouting was wrong.

NecessaryScene · 15/08/2022 13:45

Well, I'm sure a couple of training courses aren't sufficient to reach that level of zealotry.

It's more likely to be a case of hiring a devoted genderologist, and then giving all the staff genderology training, effectively giving a green light to that person with the message "we full approve of your ideology and mission". Thus she feels no compunction about hammering on people's door to spread the Word as if it's part of her job.

The fact that such people are in the workforce with such entrenched views demonstrates that there's at least as much need for gender-critical training, to stop genderologists getting themselves and the force into trouble.

Lifeadmin · 15/08/2022 13:45

It also speaks volumes that the woman concerned is afraid to take it forward because of potential repercussions FROM THE POLICE.

KittenKong · 15/08/2022 13:38

@Torunette

Bella had already been visited by two officers who made her aware someone had complained but she’d no need to take the sticker down as the content was fine. Surely their visit would have been the system-satisfying outcome?

The PCSO’s visit looks even worse given that, really, doesn’t it? Because surely less a mysterious IT failure, she took it upon herself to make the visit, given the matter had already been been handled?

Well, yes. If that is the case, then it goes back to my early point about police training.

I must say I'm pretty stunned at the obvious inability of the PCSO to recognise that her personal beliefs are bugger all to do with the situation in the context. We don't just act ultra vires because we fancy like it, or because someone has done or said something we don't like.

That the PCSO fails to see this is very troubling. What exactly does this PCSO believe the role to be? And why has that not been challenged by her training?

This is so appalling. The “interview” is distressing to listen to. Goodness knows how distressing it was for the woman being harassed. I hope the woman harassed by the PCSO is going to make a complaint.

Oh so that's what PCSOs do! I've never actually seen one doing any work. Silly me, I thought they were supposed to walk around and look after people. After all they do earn more than Police Officers initially. But no, they are propaganda officers for Stonewall, pedalling lies and bullying women in their homes. That PCSO needs to be sacked immediately. Really, what is the point of PCSOs? I thought they mostly just had affairs with middle aged police men, 3 PCSOs were having an affair with the same Police Officer locally, no-one surprised. Its what they do. No wonder they don't work past 10pm, with all the affairs and bullying women they must be exhausted. Really hope that PCSO is re-educated about her job description. It's frightening to hear a trans-ally woman in real life after only reading their desperate attempts to be cool on twitter before.

To be fair, I needed help with a nightmare neighbour & PCSO's were brilliant: they knew the law, knew what could & couldn't be done, were willing to listen to an unbelievable extent, gave me good advice & took action.

I'd like to know whether the police keep records of daily orders/ duties & of visits & their outcome. I'd imagine they do, but I honestly don't know. I'm just wondering if there's any record of an order being given to this PCSO to visit this lady, or any write-up of said visit.

DarkDayforMN · 15/08/2022 13:00

That poor person who called it in also - they must have assumed actual assistance would have been sent

I was thinking about that person too. You’d feel so guilty and responsible afterwards, for having expected a basic level of competence or caring from the police. They were even given her name and address so they could check up on her. It’s such horrific negligence.

blahblahblahspoons · 15/08/2022 12:50

placemats · 15/08/2022 12:26

This is truly appalling. For anyone who really thinks the police don't need getting rid of and starting again, just read this.

Compare and contrast the 23(?) minutes of the PSCO's time spent berating Bella for doing nothing wrong (well 'wrongthink') vs less than 10 minutes trying to find someone reported as in need of urgent assistance having fallen off their bike in a cemetery. I really hope people lost their jobs over Jacqueline's death. If they didn't, then again - police not fit for purpose.

That poor person who called it in also - they must have assumed actual assistance would have been sent and they'd at least look in the cemetery. How awful to find out that it wasn't and the tragic result.

I don’t think it’d work for the old fashion type of women. I don’t think we’re covered for the purposes of “non-crime”.
