Isn't this a good thing?

Just looking for some way to clear my thoughts around this.

www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-11080589/Why-NHS-sexing-WOMENS-health-pages.html

The effect of this is;

Allowing women who "identify as male" to go and be treated for gynae problems whilst having their "gender identity" recognised and not being put off going for treatment regarding their female anatomy.

Means that men (people with male anatomy) are still going to be referred to as men and male with no conditioning to refer to them by their gender.

So on face value it seems like this policy does nothing to validate transwomen and does everything to ensure females go for the treatment they need.

Just like with unisex/mixed sex toilets it doesn't mean men can go into women's toilets, it means men and women use the same space - again not validating men as women.

Not saying I support any of this but I'm right about those observations, aren't I?

The idea that the NHS has deconstructed all of it's female healthcare information for the benefit of transmen (other female people) is laughable. It's all been done for the benefit of people with a penis who want to be called women.

Regarding this

The TRA agenda is to break down the norms of men's/women's spaces so that people with a penis can enter women's spaces without being questioned, and the addition of more mixed sex private spaces is a stepping stone in achieving this goal.

If those goals are achieved, what would that look like? Just unisex everywhere?

OP how does a child growing up to be an adult even know if they have a cervix or not? Is there a guide to knowing if you have one?

There is nothing good about removing clarity about who these conditions affect. The key to effective health messaging is clarity and plan English.

This 'de-sexing' only ever tends to affect female charities and health messages.

It's a direct discrimination against women with learning difficulties or with English as second language, i.e. poor and immigrant women.

Do you think that is good?

By referring to us formerly known as women as "person with a cervix" or "person who menstruates" you are very much indeed validating men as women. That's pretty much the desired outcome. It's why language around the female body has been targeted so vehemently.

It creates the space for "people with a penis" to be called "women".

The claim is that desexing language is to accommodate the sensitivities to transmen but the reality is that it decouples female sexed based language from the word woman in order to make it harder (or so the TRA's think) to define what a woman is and therefore easier for men to claim to be women. No all women have periods and not only women have periods etc therefore a transwoman not having periods doesn't make a TW less of a woman.

Ask yourself in what other area of life are women able to gain enough power to dictate anything? How would that suddenly be different in healthcare? It is all about accomodating men who like to think of themselves as women.
