I saw India Willoughby post on twitter about a user called "mimikyu" saying they were a GP with a trans patient they wanted to avoid giving hormones to. I searched and can't find anything by a poster called mimikyu, so did it happen or has it been deleted?

Thanks. I agree it sounds like a set up. Especially as some of the people in comments reckon mimikyu is a bit of a trans symbol (I do like pokemon and didn't know this)

It was deleted because the poster was clearly trying to set up women to say something controversial. Who knows, the OP in that thread might even have been a journalist looking for a story.

No need to wonder - they do. (Generic 'they', no idea what IW gets up to as I barely know who they are, but either they posted it themselves or are on MN a lot - hello!)

It was deleted. Many GC MN posters challenged the rather odd notion that GC beliefs - that sex is real and immutable - would affect which medical treatment a patient needs.

It was on Twitter within the hour, so it looks very much like a setup.

It was deleted because clearly it was a setup.

It's amazing that IW saw it given that it lasted such a short time, almost as if someone created it and then circulated a link to interested parties.

I'm blocked on my gc account but it came up as a suggested post on my 'main' itherwise I'd be non the wiser!
