I don't do twatter, but wanted to express my sincerest good wishes to JK Rowling on her (and Harry's) birthday.

Thank you for Harry Potter, thank you for Strike, and the biggest thank you for standing up for women and girls.

Happy birthday, Jo, I hope you are having an amazing day. With not a cockroach cluster in sight.

By a happy coincidence, just as I opened this thread I also turned on the TV to check out Andrew Doyle's Free Speech Nation and there on the screen was the message

'Happy b'day JK!

They were talking about how she had spoken out when she didn't have to and could have just carried on with her life as a successful author and how she had been accused and attacked for her views.

And as he signed off at the end of the programme he mentioned her birthday again as one of the highlights.

Lovely to see that tribute to her.

My two little kids are a bit young for HP but have listened to books 1 and 2 on audiobook and they're obsessed. Youngest is definitely a slytherin Grin
