Laurence Fox is a femist now?

I don't think he's a feminist per se, but he's established himself as a leading gender critic with all the good work he's been doing lately.

No, no he hasn't. I haven't seen him say a single GC thing.

His concern is free speech in general, which is fine but he could be far less of a dick about it.

Was it even being GC, Chaz? I thought it was just lesbians who didn't want to include penis in their dating pool?

Yes I think you are right. I was being too generous to her.

Apologies, I have reread:

'However Ms Kelley said while Stonewall believed in freedom of speech, it was "not without limit".

"With all beliefs including controversial beliefs there is a right to express those beliefs publicly and where they're harmful or damaging - whether it's antisemitic beliefs, gender critical beliefs, beliefs about disability - we have legal systems that are put in place for people who are harmed by that,” she said.'

Nancy Kelley

You then asked if Lawrence Fox was a feminist. Why you asked this is a mystery, because in solving the question above it has zero relevant
I'd have thought because of people saying they're grateful to him, and that he stands up for women (ha, as if 😂 )

But it has no relevance to the discussion as to why it’s ok to call feminists Nazis.

Fish, dolphins..

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 30/07/2022 10:41

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Nancy Kelley Antisemitism comment

Being GC was stated to akin to anti semitism by Stonewall. Why wasn’t Nancy arrested?

I think that the police suggestion was that he get other people to approve his "public utterance" so the "local committee" (big assumption being they are following the approved party line) get to review, edit, and sign off on anything he posts.

The police would be in trouble if they were suggesting that he turn up in person at a complaining neighbour's home.

I see. So practically speaking, I suppose to implement this local committee approval, I imagine we would be looking for a sort of public gathering - a rally, perhaps - where the offender is re-educated and his hateful and offensive views denounced by his neighbours?

This whole thread exists because LF posted the progress flag in a format that resembled a swastika, I don't get your point.

I suspect that unless you are willing to claim that a group of 4 progressive flag are a literal Nazis flag and/or that a named individual is a literal Nazis that you will continue to play word logic games.

NotBadConsidering · 30/07/2022 10:29

It’s not, it’s just fashionable to throw as much mud as possible with slurs like that.

beastlyslumber · 30/07/2022 10:27

I don't understand why it's antisemitic to point out the authoritarianism/fascistic tendencies of TRAs?

Of course, it’s sooo hard to follow 🙄. But seeing as it seems difficult:

Apparently it’s antisemitic to claim TRAs act like Nazis. So a question was asked how come it’s so common to call feminists Nazis?

You then asked if Lawrence Fox was a feminist. Why you asked this is a mystery, because in solving the question above it has zero relevance. So it was pointed out to you that it’s like claiming dolphins are fish when people are talking about fish living in the sea, that is, just babbling bullshit.

Exactly!
Comparing the trans movement to literal Nazis is antsemitic.

So likewise comparing The GC movement to literal Nazis must also be anti semetic, no?

Word logic games, lets to this one.

"Fish live in the sea, therefore Dolphins are fish"

Can you explain why transactivists are always accusing feminists of being Nazis and fascists? 'Cos it gets a bit boring.

You're not reading the post properly.

The poster said that comparisons with Nazism are never celebratory - comparisons generally, because they then went on to clarify that in this particular instance

"Revealing a swastika in the trans flag is clever because it silently comments on the authoritarian and intimidatory nature of the gender identity movement."

The veteran, who has requested anonymity, contacted Miller and Fox and told them that officers had advised him to “check with his neighbours before he posts anything”.

What a bizarre thing to say. I wonder if his neighbors reported him. The neighbors got another mention at the end of the article.

I think that the police suggestion was that he get other people to approve his "public utterance" so the "local committee" (big assumption being they are following the approved party line) get to review, edit, and sign off on anything he posts.

exwhyzed · 30/07/2022 09:39

I'm assuming there's already a FOI in the pipeline asking police forces about who runs the re-education camps and where the money from them goes to?

Datun · 30/07/2022 09:15

That Graham Linehan piece is astonishing.

Harry calls it extortion. If you pay sixty quid now for a re-education course, we'll wipe the crime - ie not even record it.

And what on earth is the course content?? Apparently one suggestion is to check with your neighbours before you post on Facebook!

Which neighbours? What are their credentials? Who's approved and who isn't?

And he's certain this is common practice.
