I agree with Datun and MrsOverton about Kemi's revelations. I always thought she must've been on the case. Seems she was being stonewalled but ploughed on through as best she could.

The Bayswater Support Group, which represents parents whose children identify as transgender, welcomed the news that the NHS’s main gender identity clinic for children will be shut down over safety concerns.

However, it said the new services outlined by Dr Hilary Cass, a former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, to support young people questioning their gender needed to be accompanied by better advice for teachers.

A spokesman said: “Closing the Tavistock is a first step, but schools are frequently acting as a pipeline to the clinics. We want the Department for Education to issue clear guidance to schools, and for Ofsted to enforce rules.

“Many of our children came across gender identity theory in schools, which then played an active role in socially transitioning them without parental knowledge or clinical oversight.

That's so chilling. The amount of opposition she faced just to talk to whistle blowers.

That's fascinating ResisterRex Kemi details how civil servants openly tried to obstruct a minister from meeting whistleblowers, detransitioners and others who were trying to expose what was happening at GIDs - and when meetings did happen, they were leaked with the department being inundated with FOIs demanding names of whistleblowers !

The conclusion being that civil servants were in open collusion with trans extremist groups, leaking them privileged information in order to stop politicians going about their democratic business?

It's a horrendous level of corruption in the civil service.

I have gained such a respect for the Times for the way it has reported on this whole issue. But I honestly feel so abandoned by the Left - by the media, the Labour Party.

It is an absolute mess.

The public inquiry needs to extend to schools and the education system and professional bodies for key occupations such as social work.

That correspondence with Bayswater lays bare the extreme levels of capture of the GIDs service and as is pointed out, is a violation of the Nolan principles. I so hope that these dangerous people are prosecuted for the extreme harm they've done to children.

There has to be a Public Enquiry on this and all that kind of information must be put in the public domain. GIIDS were not doing what they were doing with the health and well being of children paramount they were doing what they were doing because of ideological capture and pressure from* *Gender Identity zealots.

It's really shocking isn't if @Ereshkigalangcleg - just to turn round to a group of parents of their patients and tell them you're not going to speak to them at all because they don't want to put their children onto puberty blockers. What a terrifying place to have your child referred to.

I bet GIDS and those mentioned in that correspondence are desperately trying to shred all evidence of it in light of this news.

Those people should at the bare minimum be facing disciplinary charges. Surely their stance is totally at odds with rules laid down for public bodies?

I was looking for that because I had a memory it was Bayswater but couldn't find it.

I'd like to think that many of these people will have their performance reviewed for the judgments that they made that are bordering on wilful: they won't be reviewed, far less reprimanded. They'll be generously retired at best or find themselves appointed to a fabulous sinecure.

I didn't see this last year so apologies if this is old news but this correspondence between Bayswater Support and the CEO of the Tavistock is shocking.

Who do these people actually think they are?

Only when Labour make a stand will any of them listen.

And the police. And all government offices, from local to national.

There is going to come a time when every policy or every employee involved in and touched by activist lobby training is going to have to be regarded as compromised and re written from scratch.

The inquiry will come. It will have to. Questions will have to be asked as to how this was able to happen and enabled so far. And like other safeguarding disasters, it will form the basis of 'actions to ensure this never happens again in the hands of another political activist lobby'.

This is good news but as others have said this is only the start, the TRA dogma has to be removed from education and, crucially, the entire NHS.

Yes most of the autistic charities are captured (Sunshine Support, National Autistic Society).
When your child needs your help you seek out help from charities, support groups etc. I've been on Facebook groups where a parents come to discuss the issue and virtually all the responses are along the lines of this:
So good they felt safe to come out to you.
Yes support them and use their pronouns.
Go to Mermaids they are brilliant.
Most autistic kids are trans so it quite normal.

I usually go on and recommended an alternative approach to affirmation which is watchful waiting. Recommend they do as much research as possible on both sides and say look at Transgender Trend, Bayswater etc. Then I get a pile as these organisation are deemed transphobic, get called names, then the admin delete my posts.

I did have a few mums DM and say thanks for the links I got them before they were deleted and this aligns with more of what I was thinking.

I praise gender non conforming kids and say that's what it is about smashing sexist gender stereotypes, but that is dismissed instead trans is the only way.

It is so hard to tackle when affirmation is just everywhere. I really hope these new centres slow everything down and truly offer a watchful waiting approach.
