In Wandsworth - Southside - I know this Primark, they have got rid of the women's changing room and gone unisex and now this.
The average shopper in southside is young, they have a Cinema and many teen shops.
He wasn't jailed, given a suspended sentance of course.

But ladies!!! THIS WOULD NEVER HAPPEN! 😱😨

What'll happen is what has already happened: many women are now forced to exclude themselves, and the women's territory is the property of the males who wish to symbolically pee all over it and anyone in it, and the women who are ok with that.

No one's bothering to count or measure the women with no access however, since they're only women, and the men are happy. So job done. Yay 'inclusion'.

Would someone sort this bloody country out.

Occasionally I wonder if this effect of keeping women out of public life is a part of the point.

I'm struggling with words today, proper brain fog so excuse me.
I mean we know they are wanting to piss all over the spaces we could previously call our own (almost literally piss) and those kinds of men would be quite happy if we were barefoot and pregnant at the kitchen sink, so making that happen "legally" is a plus point in favour.
Just think no more nagging women
No more independent women (therefore no incels, because to survive we would need a man)
Plenty of jobs for the boys and a return to 1952 way of life but with better porn.

Sort of a lucky feature not a glitch.

I know more of these stories make the press because the alleged perpetrators are police officers but this is particularly disappointing given he's appeared in reality TV as a police officer.. And, of course, the default assumption is that the constable is innocent until proven guilty.

TV star police constable who dressed as Superman for children's parties is dropped by cosplay charity after he is charged with attempted rape, sexual assault, false imprisonment and controlling behaviour over 15-year period

Upside is that it's Devon and Cornwall rather than Met Police. Downside is that it's not one of the forces known to be in special measures.

Wiltshire Police is one of six forces in England currently placed in special measures - the highest ever number of forces concurrently under investigation.

The others are the Met, Greater Manchester, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire and Cleveland.

This is my local primark. I’m horrified by this, the reaction of the staff and the fact that he isn’t in prison. I can’t find any comment from primark on the matter. I just won’t go there.

Primark unisex changing rooms are not well policed either. I know this because I was able to wander into each cubicle and put up a sticker about single sex changing rooms in every single one without being questioned.

One good side-effect then!

I saw a bit of the victim's impact statement on twitter. It seems when the incident came to light Primary busily reassured the perpetrator that they wouldn't call the police.

KittenKong · 25/07/2022 14:48

And when they do have a problem it will be the woman’s fault anyway. It didn’t happen.

Drivebye · 25/07/2022 14:38

H&M also mixed. Just flimsy curtains. When I mentioned to the assistant she looked at me like I had 2 heads and said they've never had a problem. Frankly they wouldn't know if they've got a problem.

300%

  1. Because women don't matter
  2. We don't have time to exhaust this topic but I think the same things are wrong with many other police forces but perhaps not on the same scale
  3. Women should just self exclude from everything all the time - participation in society is a privilege not a right (for us)
/For the avoidance of doubt these are observations of what is the prevailing logic not my opinion of what is sane or acceptable.

Best possible protest

littlbrowndog · 24/07/2022 21:26

I don’t understand why this pervert wasn’t jailed. Suspended service.

he will be doing this again.

pictures of children and animals being abused. What does it take for these perverts to be jailed 🤷‍♀️

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 24/07/2022 17:04

It does confirm my prejudice that the type of people who would actively choose to become police officers can require careful watching

I know the police are aware of this, but evidently not aware enough

terryleather · 24/07/2022 16:40

VestofAbsurdity · 23/07/2022 21:25

But, but, but, wait this never happens.

I know!!!!!

Whitehorsegirl · 24/07/2022 16:38

It seems like being a pervert and hating women are actually part of the job description/requirements to become a Met Officer...disgusting.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 24/07/2022 16:36

in addition to filming a woman by going into the cubical next to her and putting his camera under the partition, he pleaded guild to three counts of making an indecent image of a child

he should be in prison

and mixed sex changing rooms demonstrate either naivete or a complete lack of interest in women's dignity

Whatwouldscullydo · 24/07/2022 15:43

I wish I could say I was surprised but I'm.not.

So sick of women being collateral damage so men can be everywhere all the time even when they aren't wanted.

Hmm. It's interesting that Leicester Fosse Park Primark wasn't letting men into the Ladies/ Children's fitting rooms last time I was there ( over a year ago though).
That may be because Leicester has a large Muslim population and they know that it'll affect their bottom line if they find out that the fitting rooms are not single sex and vote with their feet.

There's quite a lot of Muslim women in Wood Green in north London, but Primark has gone unisex there. I think they don't really care because they know women who object will try stuff on at home and return if it doesn't fit. Fuck the inconvenience; it's only women.

I can't understand how he got a short suspended sentence.

He filmed a woman in a changing room.

His computer held 000's of serious porn images of both children and animals being sexually abused.

He's a police officer (or was - not now, obviously) - at one time the police used to be held to a higher standard than ordinary citizens - and rightly so. It doesn't seem to apply now.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2022 14:54

Is matalan like this too? I only saw one changing room.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2022 14:53

Boycott. Damage their sales.

Artichokeleaves · 24/07/2022 14:49

Not to mention a police officer has more or less got away with this, cos only women. The sexism ingrained into the heart of the met and the justice system is another whopping great elephant cantering about in this mess.

Primarks across the country have gone unisex. This isn't the first instance in a Primark since the chain introduced the policy, and it won't be the last.

When they first enacted the policy, another poster on these boards spotted a man positioning his chair in the corridor so he could watch a woman changing through the gap between the wall and the curtain.

Obviously, as a mumsnetter, she intervened.

When this happened I was in a Primark (last time) and mentioned to the woman on the till that I thought the unisex rooms were and absolute disgrace. She didn’t know and yelled over to her colleague who didn’t know either. She looked pretty angry.
