In the light of the Divine Miss M and Macy Gray nailing their colours to the GC mast, which global celebrity , if they did similar would really give Bloko Harem a fit of the vapours?

Honestly the only ones that would really make a difference are probably the Labour leadership.

continueorterminate · 05/07/2022 08:55

I so want P!nk to come out. Her acceptance speech about her daughter being called ugly was heavily hinting towards it. The one where she talked about androgynous popstars being awesome. She's a fierce feminist, I'm waiting for her to clear up this matter for everyone

RoyalCorgi · 05/07/2022 08:49

Emma Watson or Daniel Radcliffe.

Musomama1 · 05/07/2022 08:46

Actually if Emma Watson ever snapped out of it that'd really make an impact on the kids.

Bette Midler getting a load of old and doesn't understand schtick despite being on the left, progressive, gay rights ally and living through the palpable sexism of the 1970s.

I'd listen to her in a heartbeat over some groomed TRA teen or 20-something.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 05/07/2022 08:34

No - the vast majority of KJ's following don't give a shit about identity politics, its just not their tribe. She would get a bit of crap because of who her father is, but I don't think it would cause shock waves.

oh, I wasn’t thinking about how her fans would react but more about how the politically minded TRAs would react. I think Jenner would be very damaging to them because she reaches people who don’t care about this stuff!

I think Emma Thompson is very TWAW isnt she? Would be seriously wtf happened there if she saw sense.

Very very TWAW, and completely sanctimonious with it!
Emma Watson? But she'd only be doing it for the attention I'd imagine, given she's been the most publicly condemning JKR.....

teawamutu · 05/07/2022 08:27

Pink tweeted something positive about Martina Navratilova being at her concert, right after Martina went full Terven.

Madonna recently went to a Dave Chapelle show.

Neither apologised.

Beowulfa · 05/07/2022 08:22

I'm afraid it would have to be a male voice:

-a blokey bloke's bloke like Freddie Flintoff or Phil "The Power" Taylor
-a National Treasure like David Attenborough
-someone with a large overdraft of cool in the bank like Stormzy

WinterTrees · 05/07/2022 08:12

I said to my daughter (GC, mid-20s now and Taylor Swift fan since she was a tween) that TS MUST get it - I can't believe a woman as intelligent and insightful and feminist as she is doesn't. But dd sadly pointed out that she's done some dodgy collaborations with a few rainbow flag people and positioned herself as an ally so it's unlikely we'll see any outright support of women from that quarter. Such a damn shame. I live in hope though.

CosmopolitanPlease · 05/07/2022 08:07

Or Zendaya and Tom Holland! Can you imagine Grin

CosmopolitanPlease · 05/07/2022 08:06

Michelle or Barack Obama. Emma Thompson?

ResisterRex · 05/07/2022 08:05

<wishes for a coordinated response at same time on Twitter comprising...

Serena & Venus
Madonna
Beyoncé
Taylor Swift>

Oooh who else?!

Beamur · 05/07/2022 08:03

GrimDamnFanjo · 05/07/2022 01:10

Rupaul?

I think he did say something that was slightly outside canon...but is too smart to say too much!

bellinisurge · 05/07/2022 08:00

Madonna would be awesome.

ThickCutSteakChips · 05/07/2022 08:00

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 05/07/2022 01:05

Kylie Jenner?

Young attractive women speaking out against them is what they hate the most, because seething jealousy mixes in with the rage. No one could accuse her of not being “educated” on the subject given who her father is, and she has masses of social media influence.

No - the vast majority of KJ's following don't give a shit about identity politics, its just not their tribe. She would get a bit of crap because of who her father is, but I don't think it would cause shock waves.

I agree Harry Styles - I would love for him to come out with something even slightly GC. He hasn't gone down the 'non-binary' Road despite being an absolute prime candidate for that shit.

Definitely Pink - I think she is probably GC, only because her lovely slightly gender non-conforming daughter has not yet been 'transed'. But her saying anything against the dogma would definitely cause a stir.

Also agree Taylor Swift but I don't think that will happen.

Lizzo - can you imagine!

Theeyeballsinthesky · 05/07/2022 07:55

Harry styles

BordoisAgain · 05/07/2022 07:53

Cher...

WarriorN · 05/07/2022 07:41

Madonna is inching slowly.

She had the audacity to post something about women and a revolution yesterday, though most likely re RvW.

risefromyourgrave · 05/07/2022 07:40

I would say Madonna, but then they’d just turn on her for being the worst of things - a woman over the age of 40. And she’s probably more of an icon for the more sensible generation!

RomeoOscarXrayIndigoEcho · 05/07/2022 07:39

Any Royal.

GCAcademic · 05/07/2022 07:33

I'd say Megan Markle.

risefromyourgrave · 05/07/2022 07:30

Not so much a celebrity, but if the anime world went GC I think the TRAs would actually explode.

mrshoho · 05/07/2022 07:13

I agree with Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

Also Pink.

TheElementsSong · 05/07/2022 07:06

Apparently Mark Hamill liked Bette Midler's tweet. He might recant under the sheer force of outrage, but for now I'll justGrinGrinGrin Luke Skywalker! GrinGrin
