Name Changed for this, but I’ve got 2 tickets to see Ricky Gervais tomorrow night and my friend can’t go anymore. I popped this in here as he was discussed the other day!

I’m keen it doesn’t go to waste, does anyone want it for free? You would be sitting next to me, But I promise I don’t smell and I’m not a serial killer (see username).

Show starts at 7pm in Leicester Square Theatre.

Ooh I'm.so tempted. Can get there no problem. Need to check with DP as he's out too and we can't leave the dog all night....

I’m glad you guys don’t think I’m crazy.

I’d much rather go with someone than on my own, it’s the walking in and sitting there all alone.
I don’t mind eating alone as much, but a comedy gig alone is a step too far.

I've done gigs on my own, if I didn't have drinks planned with a couple of friends, not close enough ones that I could blow them out, I'd join you. TBH I'm a little annoyed I can't!! If you have no takers you must go, it doesn't matter that you are in your own, no one's chatting to anyone else anyway!

@Babdoc thanks for your sharing your experience and I know you’re right, I’m sure with a wine I’ll be fine!
@vivariumvivariumsvivaria shall I give it a go?!

OMG. This HAS to get twatted at Gervais!

Who's going to tweet Ricky? "The MN massif is in da house, tonight!"

Babdoc · 28/06/2022 22:29

OP, I often go to comedy gigs - and plays, concerts and opera- on my own, as I’m widowed. Nobody has yet interrogated me as to why I’m not accompanied! It’s really not a big deal. Don’t be nervous of going if you can’t find someone to take the spare ticket.

www.leicestersquaretheatre.com/ricky-gervais-friends/ Looks like it’s 7pm and then running time is 60-90 mins so should be done by 8:30!

Yes it’s an early one! 7pm start, I’ve asked about 20 people and they’re either not able to get into London from work, have kids, have covid or like the poster up thread have other plans!

Stopsnowing · 28/06/2022 22:13

I can’t unfortunately but I have often thought about doing something similar!

Notaserialkiller · 28/06/2022 22:13

😂 Enjoy the party! 🥳

Queenoftheashes · 28/06/2022 22:10

JamesBlond · 28/06/2022 22:09

Hang on, I was a bit hasty there, I have a birthday party to attend. Sorry!

JamesBlond · 28/06/2022 22:08
