Will be interesting to see if Nottingham Council issue a statement apologising and admitting they were wrong and breached the law in an attempt to limit legal action by Julie - or whether they assume the legal action is coming whatever they do, so stay silent to not further dig their hole any deeper.

I guess their lawyers will be busy bees today.

It’s extremely grating to see an expert on punter websites repeat the word “distasteful.”

And whatever else anyone could say about Fox, I don’t think you could accuse him of supporting “radicalised Islamists” like the one who shot up the bar. Ridiculous attempt at a gotcha.

Are they though? Remember when they projected onto the Ministry of Justice the clanging 1984esque "Repeat After Us, Trans Women Are Women"? It strikes me as a message of dominance of the public realm.

I must admit I said "Julie Burchill" about 4 times when I was telling my partner about the event, despite me knowing perfectly well who both the Julies are and knowing which one was speaking.

It's happened loads recently, I keep thinking of one word and saying another.

Always remember that its not their money personal that they are risking, its taxpayers funds. Are the statement issuers willing to put their own personal financial futures, houses, pensions, etc on the line to go to Court? Are they willing to have the Courts decide what public services can be withheld from themselves on the basis of their individual political activism?
