"Trans activists have hounded Nadhim Zahawi off a Russell Group campus, accusing him of “inciting hatred” by defining women as “adult human females”, The Telegraph can reveal.

The Education Secretary was met with dozens of student protesters chanting “Zahawi is a transphobe” and “Tory scum” while visiting the University of Warwick on Friday.

The Cabinet minister had to be ushered away from campus by security guards in dramatic scenes, as he was pursued by activists brandishing trans flags and placards."

Well after reading this article in the Spectator nothing surprises me about student groups especially those affiliated with the NUS www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-uk-is-right-to-sever-ties-with-the-poisonous-nus

Artichokeleaves · 02/06/2022 12:57

And I do mean actual prejudice. You know, as in 'that group are evil, should be raped, die in fires, punched, not allowed services or access like the right kind of people have, should be forced to be More Like Us because yuck' as opposed to the 'says no to me!!!!' kind of 'prejudice.

Artichokeleaves · 02/06/2022 12:53

I'll bet if the kid was a raving racist, or embracing any other form of prejudice, mummy and daddy wouldn't be obediently being a mouthpiece for it to keep little Tarquin happy.

I am getting so tired of apparently intelligent adults pretending that some forms of prejudice are a-okay so long as it's the right prejudice and only addressed to the Not Me Or My Mates people.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 02/06/2022 12:43

Was one of the ‘leaders’ really Ed balls/Yvette cooper’s kiddo?

"Power to the People!"

Tory minister in trouble for speaking the truth. Well that's a shock!

Grin

Truth is stranger than fiction, in this case.

being held to ransom on various issues by their late teen and twenty something kids. For me this does explain Yvette recent comments in this subject and is disappointing as I like her.
She might just share the same views of her kids, that would make sense seeing as she is the parent and they grow up with her values etc.
But no, it's the kids fault for holding her to ransom 😕
I'm in my 40s, agree with her and I aren't told what to think by anybody.

sashagabadon · 01/06/2022 13:05

Imo there’s a generation of left leaning celebrities and as we can see now politicians in their 50’s being held to ransom on various issues by their late teen and twenty something kids. For me this does explain Yvette recent comments in this subject and is disappointing as I like her.
as another pp said adult children should not be affecting the way politicians think and behave at work when it comes to matters of public policy. that’s pretty outrageous imo.

GoodJanetBadJanet · 01/06/2022 12:41

I don't mean insist the kids have the same views (futile) but that the kids don't get to moderate the parents' views - especially at work ffs. What is Cooper playing at
Or heaven forbid, she's a woman with her own mind and opinions!
But no, she must be being told to think that way, brainwashed or too scared to say what she really thinks 🙄
FFS

Is this literally all that happened or was there more to it? (there usually is)

MargaritaPie what more might there have been?

Why not look up the news reports?

Boiledbeetle · 31/05/2022 20:25

I do wonder how many of the females involved in this with their "no debate, shut up! You don't get an opinion you #£%& (four letter word beginning with t that I don't want to utter) get all upset and righteous about how horrible it is that women have been raped as part of the war in Ukraine, and women have been stopped from getting an education and forced back into burkas due to the will of men?

I wonder if they agree with both sets of those women bring told that there's no debate, to shut up and that they are not entitled to an opinion? Or would they just get angry that I just dared to compare them to the oppressors?

LastTrainEast · 31/05/2022 19:31

"was there more to it?"

No reason to think so that I can see and the terrorists published their intent. Trying to silence people like this is normal behaviour now for certain groups. It probably happens most weeks.

Either the person speaking is 100% in agree with TRA rules or he is an enemy with no right to speak or be on their gang's territory.

I think I'm becoming bullshitphobic. Sad

Tis a major problem in this day and age.

'Neptunic refers to an individual who is attracted to both Nonbinary and Female genders. It can also be described as the attraction to all people except men and man aligned and/or masculine aligned non-binary people. This orientation is mostly used by non-binary people to describe their attraction without relying on the gender binary, but it can be used by anyone.'

Ahh, this clarifies it, thanks! It's a person of any or no or fluid sex and/or gender who is solely attracted - on a sexual and/or romantic basis - to non-men*.

Cailleach1 · 31/05/2022 16:02

Or other variables other than sex.

SpindleSheWrote · 31/05/2022 15:53

Isn't it?

After reading all the guff, I arrived at the same conclusion as you.

I think 'gender' seems to be employed to refer to personalities.

MagnoliaTaint · 31/05/2022 15:56

or 'human being who probably doesn't fancy Arnold Schwartzenegger', idk. It's fucking meaningless, about as descriptive as 'Sagittarian with INFJ tendencies'.

MagnoliaTaint · 31/05/2022 15:55

It could be anyone.

No mention of individual's sex, and 'non-binary' means male or female. So, a person of either sex attracted to people of either sex.

'human being'.

SpindleSheWrote · 31/05/2022 15:53

That's a heterosexual man

MagnoliaTaint · 31/05/2022 15:47

Idiots. How on earth do they think they can untether words from meanings yet still get to use them in any meaningful way?
