Museum defends man dressed in women's lingerie playing Lego with kids https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10819577/Australian-Museum-Sydney-photo-man-lingerie-playing-Lego-kids.html?ito=nativesharee_article-top

Sorry to be starting off another thread with another DM article but holy hell what the fuck is going on! And the museum can see "nothing wrong" with this happening. Some great safeguarding going on at their children's event Hmm

The wilful blindness to see this for what it is, is truly amazing. And those that "can't see a problem with it" are enabling these kinks to be played out in public with both children and unconsenting adults. Wrong on so many levels

Spot the increasing push on this boundary on multiple fronts. Here comes trans age, peeps.

Don't say we didn't warn you.

I've been saying this for a long time, and usually my posts get deleted for it. Identifying as a woman gives you access to women. Identifying as a child gives you access to children. I wonder what sort of people link their sexuality to their access to children?

Cockblockingcowboy · 17/05/2022 01:59

It is exactly that, an increasing erosion of boundaries one fetish at a time

Why would you jump to that conclusion? It seems odd to assume that everybody who behaves in an unacceptable manner is on the spectrum and that everybody on the spectrum is likely to behave unacceptably. It's more likely to be two over entitled wangs who are either trying to push boundaries or trying to show how hilariously entertaining they are.

I didn't say that everyone on the spectrum behaves inappropriately nor that everyone that displays inappropriate behaviour is on the spectrum.

But the reasons I read the male person as being autistic are, thier posture, how just the red bricks were chosen, the way they are totally engrossed in the activity and how they don't appear to be at all self conscious about participating in an activity that is not generally considered age appropriate.

And against the current backdrop of queer theory, gender ideology and always being your true self, it would explain why they didn't think there was anything wrong in dressing like that.

Live4weekend · 16/05/2022 15:55

So the rights of our children to have proper safeguarding is also being removed?

'Grooming' is a much-used term lately. I see this as grooming.

I think it is inappropriate and would not feel comfortable with my young kids being around that at a museum lego pit but I don't think it is grooming.

Cockblockingcowboy · 16/05/2022 14:27

I screenshot my comment that time so I could compare it to the guidelines and I really cannot see why they are being deleted?!

Obviously nothing to see here, no need to worry anyone

I read the photo as someone on the autistic spectrum being unaware of normal societal boundaries.

The question we should be asking is why has nobody taught them those norms and boundaries?

Could you get any bolder..... in plain sight and its deemed OK. 🤔🙄

Whatsnewpussyhat · 16/05/2022 12:53

If that was two women dressed in fetish wear they wouldn't have even got through the door.

The fact no one is able to point out their very obvious motives for going to a childs play event dressed like that is ridiculous.

AssignedBlobbyAtBirth · 16/05/2022 12:42

I read the photo as someone with a fetish who is now bold enough to be out and proud with said fetish
All my family have ASD and none of us have ever been out in fetish gear. None of us have gone to children's events without a child either

Really?Confused
Come off it. Those are the sort of clothes chosen by someone who knows where the boundaries are and is deliberately breaking them.

Don't blame us autists!

I didn't see it say anywhere the person was autistic, in fact I haven't seen anything on their identity and certainly not their medical record (which would be confidential, and apolling if it way shared). Where did you read this?

In my experience of having and autistic son, and therefore frequenting several autistic clubs and suport groups. I have never seen autism expressed as a tendency to dress in lingerie in public. Playing with lego at an older age, yes, but that's not the part anyone is complaining about.

Why are you trying to lump being a pervert in with having autism? It's already hard enough for people with disabilities to be excepted, without people like you spreading that kind of misinformation.

FatFucker · 16/05/2022 10:27

This article shows how mad this world is now.

No one felt confident enough to complain and say that they were dressed inappropriately in case they were labelled a bigot.

Why did the parents not leave???

Is this normal now in Australia???

Our poor poor kids.

Grooming in full sight!

tabbycatstripy · 16/05/2022 09:41

That is vile. You’ll get the usual suspects saying ‘You can’t assume someone has bad intentions or are a risk because they are in fancy dress...’

I can and I will. If people cross the boundaries of kids like this because they want something (even if it’s just to play Lego, to get in the papers or whatever) they are a risk to kids.

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 16/05/2022 09:36

I don’t think it’s specifically a children’s event, hence the article going on about “school holidays.”

But tbh they shouldn’t let men dressed like that in. Or women dressed like that. Have the event either be open to children, or to adults in lingerie, but not both.

Georgeskitchen · 16/05/2022 09:11

I would be concerned about men attending a children's event with no children in tow whatever they were wearing.

Thumpsquids · 16/05/2022 08:59

Fuzzyheid · 16/05/2022 08:48

It wouldn't be appropriate if the clothes were worn by a female either, but I suspect the "fancy dress" excuse wouldn't have been accepted. The sacred caste on display again.

FrancescaContini · 16/05/2022 08:43

Yes, “wilful blindness”. Really really creepy.

Neverreturntoathread · 16/05/2022 08:37

Right so now the museum have designated the lego pit a childrn’s only area. So mums can’t play lego with their children because of these perverts. Not much of a solution eh.

One would hope carers will be able to play with their kids.
