Transwoman claims Tampax have offered sponsorship

Dylan, currently on 'Day 47 of being a girl' claims Tampax have been in touch.

Why?

'Dylan was using a public restroom when a fellow woman called out if she had a tampon, Dylan shyly replying ‘no’.
Afterwards, she decided to buy some to keep in the house and in her purse for all her girlfriends, ending the video with “women support women.” It seemed that Tampax were quite interested in working with Dylan afterwards. What an incredible outcome!'

I think what needs to be said too is that Dylan is one of those people - the type of person who is desperate to be famous but has little noticeable talent. Trying to be in musicals, making sob story TikToks about addict father (who gave up drugs when his child was born, so Dylan hasn’t actually been affected by it) constant social media engagement etc. So it seems more like an attention seeking problem/desperation for fame.

@MarshmallowSwede nothing to see here, move along please.

what do the 90% do with their penis? Hmmmmm I just can’t imagine????

Who are all these men that supposedly keep san pro on them or in their car?!

I’ve bought packs of pads for my daughters when they’ve mentioned running out, (so it wouldn’t embarrass me to carry them), but I have never thought of doing so on the off chance some random woman needs one AND then actually asks a strange man for one!

I mean, how would I know this fictional woman needed one? Would she shout it out into the street on the off chance a passerby would take pity on them? Or would she discretely approach every passing man to ask? Not very likely, is it.

I don’t know any of my male friends and acquaintances who carry it, nor have I ever seen SM posts boasting about it. Just a bizarre thought.

It's utterly incredible.

There's the very odd one off situation where it might happen. I can imagine someone buying an emergency packet say at an airport waiting lounge and then sticking it in a male partner's hand baggage just because there's more room in his bag. I'm sure there are other one- off situations where packs have ended up in men's cars and bags but it's of no use other than to the parties involved- who probably don't even remember there might be the odd item lurking in a glove box/ bottom of rucksack.

Artichokeleaves · 29/04/2022 16:57

I'm still very much enjoying the pp's scenario where Mark in accounting has only light flow tampons so he liaises with Jim in marketing who often has extra long pads....

Absolute fantasy.

If this forum is to be believed, every single "trans" person is truly trans because they say they are, even if it's only been for 5 minutes every third Wednesday if its raining .
No trans person has ever committed a crime against a woman
No trans person could EVER be doing it for nefarious purposes or to gain access to women and girls
No trans person wants access to female spaces for any reason other than they consider themselves female
Biological males have NO reason to dress and act as females
There is no such thing as the thing which I am not allowed to mention, even though the thing is a recognised thing in psychology and many many men do this thing.

Why can't we have an open discussion about this? We all know it's happening, blatantly, and yet THEY are protected and we are not even allowed to discuss it because it's "wrong speak".

Artichokeleaves · 29/04/2022 15:05

If Dylan is so keen to support access to hygiene for females, then perhaps Dylan could train in public health, or as an engineer, and work in parts of the world where women really don't have access to sanitary products and clean water etc.

The question would be whether this would offer Dylan the experience that Dylan is seeking.

Which brings us back to the same repeating question: where is the boundary on making use of others to gain a desired personal experience in which those others are necessary but non consenting props?

PlinkPlankPlunk · 29/04/2022 14:59

Too right @Artichokeleaves I honestly feel like scattergunning the crap out of it today with my thoughts. I’m getting more and more incensed by this nonsense. It’s degrading and insulting to adult human females Angry

Disappointing to see a good post by marshmellow removed. But hey, just keep cancelling valid comments.

rolls eyes

Please Mumsnet HQ can you just let us raise this possibility (probability), as it needs to be said… You don’t really think this ridiculous story is all fluffy and lovely, do you?!

VerveClique · 29/04/2022 14:31

I have never experienced this.

Once heard my SIL ask my other SIL for one during an extended, unplanned drinking session.

If Dylan is so keen to support access to hygiene for females, then perhaps Dylan could train in public health, or as an engineer, and work in parts of the world where women really don't have access to sanitary products and clean water etc. Oh - hang on - that would require work - and they would be the wrong sort of women, wouldn't they?

You'd think by now it would have dawned that just trying like whackamole to hide unwanted words that everyone else can be controlled into compliance is never going to work. And that it just makes the silenced people steadily more fed up and determined to be heard.

BackAgain777 · 29/04/2022 14:25

""Disappointing to see a good post by marshmellow removed. But hey, just keep cancelling valid comments.""

Yep.
Apparently we're not allowed to discuss things that actually concern women, and the thing that we're not allowed to discuss is a REAL thing BTW, not something that us terfy harridans have invented.
And its a REAL problem that a lot of REAL men have, some even admit to it.
But keep burying the truth.
That means it doesn't exist right?

Just throwing a statistic out here. 90% (if not more) of trans women keep their penis.

Why would that be?

Rainbowshit · 29/04/2022 13:25

Nah, never asked anyone for sanpro in my 30+ years of menstruating. Maybe helped myself to one in a friends house if on show. Just do the toilet roll wad ting until I can get to a shop or machine.

Also never ever been asked for one. Helped a friend out giving her my long cardigan as she had leaked onto her jeans, but never mentioned among friends.

Definitely a fantasy thing rather than actual female reality.

Kennykenkencat · 29/04/2022 13:19

Also I find Cis anything is a highly offensive term to describe a man or woman.

Kennykenkencat · 29/04/2022 13:17

Hutchy16 · 28/04/2022 20:45

Wow…a lot of snidey bs on here today.

Dylan may not menstruate but by having a tampon on hand she is potentially not only helping a fellow woman out if they are in need, and probably feeling more included by being part of the process.

I’ve heard of many a cis-gendered male carrying sanitary products in their cars or bags, just in case one of their friends gets caught out…they always get talked about like heroes for their understanding. I don’t get why people are being so mean about a transgendered female doing the same…

Maybe a lot of people should take a look at themselves and remember the old adage ‘if you have don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.’

How would having a tampon be helping another woman out.

Who asked another woman, let alone a man for a tampon.
It just never happens.

on another note. Where is Dylan planning to stick this tampon and for what reason.

I can only think of butt plug

Meghan Murphy was permanently banned from Twitter for saying about Yaniv “that’s him”.

Yaniv. The predator who talks to young girls about periods. The racist who targeted immigrant women to wax his balls. Referring to him as him got a woman banned from Twitter permanently. 😡

I read that as Meghan Markle and was very impressed before I realised

threecupsofteaminimum · 29/04/2022 12:15

this used to happen a lot at school tbf, I've been asked for one by friends when out & vice versa.

I agree with you this happens mostly at school, with younger girls as they are learning about their bodies and also may not have access to money to quickly pop to the shop to get stuff (as grown women can).

Which makes this whole thing even creepier because there is a suggestion of it being about girls not women.

WellThatsMeScrewed · 29/04/2022 12:16

@MarshmallowSwede and there is a high chance you will be deleted for daring to suggest that. Because we are now in a position where when women feel violated we’re not allowed to say anything because we’re being bigots. Or as @Hutchy16 has pointed out we’re not using kind words.

the simple painful fact is there are many men who do not care for women. Their needs trump.

It infuriates me that this is being done in plain sight.

lovelyweathertoday · 28/04/2022 18:47

Let me remember all those times I've heard women in toilets calling out for spare sanitary products.

... never ...

Mandodari · 29/04/2022 12:10

@RomeoOscarXrayIndigoEcho
Once in my many decades on earth was I asked by a colleague who was also a friend outside of work. Rather than shouting across the office is anyone else having difficulties logging in the d drive and oh, would anyone have a spare tampon, she quietly approached my desk and quietly said she was out of sync and was caught short. The fantasy of all women being bound together in sisterhood by our monthly cycle is plain weird and very creepy.

PlinkPlankPlunk · 29/04/2022 12:06

@Faffertea I wondered if that would be the case. I really hope not because it is so important these things get said. And yes to everything you say about the reality of periods in general

So true.

I've never been asked for one, and I make do with loo roll 'pad' if I'm caught short - which I very very rarely am because I've been having periods for decades and I'm pretty familiar with my body by now.

I'm looking forward to Dylan offering Tena pants when he finally becomes a women rather than a girl, which I'm guessing he never will (I'm also astonished he's not a spoof and how incredibly insulting his account is and the fawning of his followers do actually make me question if I am a women because I can't remotely relate to the women who seem to think the sun shines out of his arse?)

Faffertea · 29/04/2022 12:02

@MarshmallowSwede
because we’re not allowed. Posts and threads get deleted for it and the ban hammer falls.

I wonder if Dylan (or in case I’m being unkind in singling Dylan out, any male person with this interest) would be so keen on all things menstrual if they had to spend time in a menstrual hut where women and girls suffer physical and mental ill health and sometimes die.

Not so keen on getting g involved in that side of things are they, despite them apparently being lovely allies to women.

PlinkPlankPlunk · 29/04/2022 11:59

@MarshmallowSwede I so wanted to post this last night but you have managed to find much better words than I could think of.

I TOTALLY agree
