Twitter have excelled themselves and banned a prominent gay rights campaigner for comparing the impact of gender identity and AIDS on the gay community.

Unfortunately for Twitter he is a legally trained and a prominent gay rights campaigner. His response is amazing.

Imagine the trouble they'd be in if he teamed up with Ben Cooper.

From the Twitter official response: "...we do not tolerate abusive behavior. This includes inciting other people to engage in targeted harassment of someone."

So .... all the creeps who've been harassing JK Rowling, Rosie Duffield, Joanna Cherry, Kathleen Stock, etc. are gonna be perma-banned? Time to buy stock in popcorn!

(I'm almost certain that the twitbot Twitter employee who wrote that piece of boilerplate has no idea who Elon Musk even is.)
