Sweden halts 'gender affirming' hormones/surgery in young people

Not sure if this has already been covered.

It moves from medicalisation to supporting gender dysphoric young people through psychotherapy, allowing them to explore 'why' they feel this way.

I would like to see us move to this model.

Is this new? I knew they were limiting it.

I think a main hospital was limiting it? And this is now official policy? Sorry if I've got that wrong

It's great news. But in the UK, no-one will pay for the necessary psychotherapy, surely?
It's true that CAHMS is not well funded and does not seem to have the capacity to meet the current need.

But that is a funding choice that can be changed.
