That both sides using women's rights as disposable cannon fodder argument is reflected in that Texas abortion bill.

It used 'host body' for the pregnant woman, but one progressive politician then tweeted about 'menstruators' as the proper terminology for pregnant women.

Why is OJ always butting into debates where he has no skin in the game (except perhaps needing a surrogate one day)? And why do I get that creeping feeling up my spine that I am reading someone who very much loathes women when I read his views?

Martina Navratilova was championing LGB rights since before this creep was born, when it was REALLY unpopular to be doing so, and having furthered these rights more than he could ever hope or dream of doing.

'Despicable' is the word. Sick of having my uterus and other body parts coopted and my body reduced to a reproductive function by rank misogynists.

Martina has said all that needs saying about OJ.

The thing is though, women concerned about womens rights haven't 'zoned in' on sports, we've been discussing many aspects for many years. It's commentators at large, average blokes etc who can simply see it very clearly in sports- they can see what a 'trans woman' is, see how it's unfair for them to be competing with women, see that contrary to what whining apologists pretend it's reall not complicated at all.

OJ has gone in hard on the abortion thing the last few days, in desperation, as trans ideology really starts to be uncovered for what it is.

I have to say, of all the tactics trans activists use, the 'nice abortion rights you have there ladies, would be a shame if someone took them away' line is particularly grim.

The Democrats in the states have dangled the threat to abortion rights over the heads of female voters for decades as a ploy to keep them voting Dem, even though the Clinton and Obama legislations had 16 years between them to enshrine the right to abortion in federal law. Meanwhile, the Republicans have played the long game of stuffing the Supreme Court with their picks by persuading incumbents to retire rather than carry on until death, in order to ensure Republican candidates took the seats at times when their passage through the Senate could be guaranteed. By doing this, they can stack the court in favour of Roe v Wade can being overturned, and potentially block any proposal to enshrine RvW as federal law as unconstitutional.

I thought that the anti-abortion campaigners were in agreement with the TRA lobby, believing that women's needs and wants are secondary to everyone else's.

I have an American friend who told me over the weekend how the abortion bills in the states are just like the ones being used to 'ban' trans people from sport. And how it is just 2 or 3 kids who want to play so why is there so many issues about it.

Absolutely the TRAs are weaponising those bills. And it is vile.
