@DomesticatedZombie

I don't want to be in the sweepstake at all. Sad

Britain's first trans MP, blazing a trail. Stunning.

Actually, this is all depressing as fuck.

Isn't it.

It is like we're shouting in the wind about red flags on the safety of women and children.

It does have an air of 'I couldn't possibly be a nonce, I'm a woman' about it.

Dear God, pimps, furries, paedophiles, getting paedophiles off, how many more of these men have got backgrounds like this???

I'm not sure I want to know the answer to that...

It amazes me at the outrage over Boris and his birthday cake, yet this guy (and the long list of real criminal scandals he has been involved with) can get away with all of it and have sympathy just because he said he is trans, yet has no intention of doing anything about it.

Yes. You say the magic T word and everything is forgiven. It’s like a special passport into a world where you can behave how you want.

OldCrone · 24/04/2022 10:52

Mr Wallis described how he had come to the realisation it was 'pretty foolish to live for other people'.
'No matter what they may say or what might happen and no matter who those people are, you can’t live your life for them,' he added.

I hope his wife and children are OK. He never mentions them in these interviews.

Yuck yuck yuck
I remember reading about him a few weeks ago. Dodgy as hell.

SamphirethePogoingStickerist · 24/04/2022 10:21

And no rebuttal, just a platform for him to position himself as Victim of The World.

Gaaaaargh!

KitchenDancefloor · 06/04/2022 00:49

Well done Glinner again for speaking truth and bringing this in to the open.

Does anyone know if he gets royalties when his shows are streamed or downloaded? I keep buying Robert Galbraith books and I love a bit of The IT Crowd too.

I can't stick my head above the parapet at woke work yet but I'd like to support those who are being genuinely stunning and brave.

I hope you're reading this Glinner. Good man yerself.

Can I have 'all of the above' in the sweepstake?

unwashedanddazed · 05/04/2022 23:25

Oh, gosh, it must be bedtime, I've responded to you twice Grin

Thanks, will read that link in the morning.

I hadn't heard of Operation Ore, nauticant.

I don't see much on the wiki to support the idea it was a miscarriage of justice? Appeal denied, etc?

nauticant · 05/04/2022 22:58

As I understand it DomesticatedZombie the way the operation was carried out meant that guilty and possibly not guilty people were pulled together in an evidence trawling operation and the police in the US and the UK were each not motivated to tackle the problems they were creating:

I take dibs on 'links to modern slavery'

Though sex traffickers was a close 2nd choice

DomesticatedZombie · 05/04/2022 22:44

I hadn't heard of Operation Ore. Looks a right mess, from a wee look at the wiki.

Confused

I call thai bride and the father being even worse.

From the Glinner article:

You might think that their expertise involved helping convict paedophiles, but in 2003 the company came to local prominence for defending British people who the FBI had claimed had bought pictures of child abuse online. Backed by its own software, Fields Associates stated that many of the accused could have purchased pornography that wasn’t illegal and while their hard drives did have images of child abuse on them, they might not have ‘knowingly’ downloaded those images.

He appears to be referring to Operation Ore. Many people including journalists, politicians, people with backgrounds in law enforcement and forsensics, have been concerned for a long time that Operation Ore was, in the case of a number of those prosecuted, a massive miscarriage of justice. I think Glinner should have looked more into the background of this before publishing his article.

ATeamAmy · 05/04/2022 21:50

Feminist Claire has done a couple of amusing videos on him - he has a PHD in Batshittery.

OldCrone · 05/04/2022 21:50

@IsitM

This has all been in the public domain for some time; I’m astonished people are astonished!
Yes. This is from January 2020.

Newly elected Tory MP Jamie Wallis should apologise for his alleged involvement in a "sugar daddy" dating website, a Labour MP has said.

Tonia Antoniazzi said the Bridgend MP's denial of a link to Sugar-Daddy.net was "clearly" contradicted by company records.

She accused Mr Wallis of misleading the press.

Ms Antoniazzi's comments in the House of Commons follow reporting by BuzzFeed News into Mr Wallis' business background.

What are the vetting procedures for being an MP and are these public? Shouldn't all vetting outcomes be in the public domain?
