Allison's case is due to be heard later this month and given the delays and attempts to have the case struck out, as well as the addition of direct discrimination based on GC beliefs to the case, costs have mounted.

The case is scheduled to run for 20 days (5 to 10 days being the norm).

Ben Cooper QC is representing Allison.

I'm off to plant some more flowers to really catch the sunlight that no doubt will be shining during the 20 days of her case. I thought I had enough, but more are needed because of the extension, unfortunately, which has left a bit of a bare patch!

I've planted some more beautiful bulbs this morning which, in due course, I hope to see blossom into amazing flowers. Just under £251k total now.

£50k donation - wow!

It's almost as if Garden Court and Stonewall want to price Allison out of justice isn't it?

DERFDogmaExlusionary · 03/04/2022 07:28

She may get the £400k by the end of the weekend which goes to show the strength of feeling and awareness of how groundbreaking this case will be. Not surprised at the costs given 30+ witnesses, it's a huge task for Allison's legal team to effectively prepare to take gender identity ideology to court on behalf of the entire world. Thanks Allison ❤️

NancyDrawed · 03/04/2022 07:24

Total is now currently just under £250K.

Which by my reckoning means approx £100K has been donated in 24 hours. £5 here, £10 there, raising the case's profile and sharing the details all counts, all adds up. This case is HUGE, I am surprised that our paymasters at the Right Wing Christian groups haven't just paid for the lot, to be honest.

Just did some digging - went for a few dahlias rather than the usual crocuses, on behalf of everyone who can't afford it right now. Crossing fingers for a floribund spring...

On a more practical note, I wondered what the situation was re donated fees - Allison Bailey's website seems to imply that she's liable for the costs win or lose. Does that mean that there's no possibility of a court awarding her costs if she wins?

@Aretina

I would like to plant some seeds. But times are hard, and I barely have enough seeds for myself and my children. In fact, we don't (but it's comforting to know that Shell et al have declared ££££££££ in profits).

I can do my bit by sharing the link. I shall put it on my FB and hopefully get a discussion going.

That’s just as useful as planting!

I managed to get on, so do keep trying.

OvaHere · 02/04/2022 19:04

@GCMM

I also can't get onto Allison's site, get a message about the server not getting a secure connection. Have tried several times...
She tweeted there's been the odd issue. Probably server overload from all the traffic (good thing). Try again at a later time. Maybe late at night or early morning?
nocoolnamesleft · 02/04/2022 18:59

I was planning on going to the garden centre for a few plants tomorrow. Looks like it had better be virtual gardening instead.

Planted a few little seeds.

HotCrossMocha · 02/04/2022 18:47

@BenCooperisaGod

If its anything like Mayas case it will be riveting. I would also contribute to have tweeters there and/or a transcription.
It sounds like this will be done - according to her website:

"The trial date is 25 April – 23 May 2022. It will be live tweeted by the wonderful women at @tribunaltweets. "

doublemonkey · 02/04/2022 18:41

I thought it was too cold for gardening today but then I changed my mind.

LFG.

RockPaperScience · 02/04/2022 18:39

Planted some flowers 🌸 (sadly not £50k worth though!)

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 02/04/2022 18:31

I’ve just planted some white & purple crocuses. Lovely against the green leaves.

littlbrowndog · 02/04/2022 18:11

I think that bt has put some parental controls which you have to disable to donate

ickky · 02/04/2022 17:54

[quote yourhairiswinterfire]Someone has donated 50k Shock

Fuck me, you gave me a shock then, I thought I had pressed too many zeros checks bank balance 🤣🤣🤣

It is wonderful that someone has done that.

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 02/04/2022 17:52

I wish Virgin Money Giving (or similar) hadn't stopped their charity sponsorship of Ziffit, that was such an amazing motivation for people who needed to declutter to do it via this.

www.ziffit.com/en-gb/blog/blogitems/virgin-money-giving-closing

I wish there were a straightforward way to do something similar for a fighting fund for actions like this.

I hear so many horror stories about people selling via Ebay or Amazon that I doubt I could do this to raise some funds but straightforward being able to scan and send books etc. by courier (for no cost) was very easy.

SpinningTheSeedsOfLove · 02/04/2022 17:50

I sincerely hope AB wins and gets a substantial award of costs to her benefit.

24hoursfromtulsa · 02/04/2022 17:45

I've planted £25 worth of bulbs this afternoon- really hope they will grow very successfully Smile

DisappearingGirl · 02/04/2022 17:40

That's great that someone donated £50k!

But also, if my sums and memory are correct, an additional £12,500 has been donated since this morning.

So looks like there's donations of all sizes coming in and filling up the pot

LizzySapphire · 02/04/2022 17:36

Hopeless at gardening but inspired by the green fingers here to give it a try!🌹🍀

HandShoe · 02/04/2022 17:36

Done a little gardening here and there.
