That does cut to the heart of the entire thing - the only time you should be treating someone "as a woman" is in a situation sex is important (like relationships, or sports, or sex equality monitoring). If it isn't, then you should be treating them as a person, not as a woman or a man - you should not be sex discriminating.

So there is no circumstance in which it makes sense to treat a man "as a woman". There is no circumstance in which "gender" discrimination makes sense. (That I can think of, anyway).

I used to somewhat admire OJ, until he titled a book about 'chavs' representing the maligned working class. The working class are not chavs, Owen, they may be an offshoot, but I would say you need to go back and perform some, real, ground level research.
