Do you think Rihanna will reverse the celebrity surrogacy trend?

I have never seen a celebrity so happy to display her bump!

She looks like she is really embracing being pregnant and not hiding her stomach or dressing over the bump.

She is also a fashion trend setter and I have seen pregnant women copying her style on social media and saying that Rihanna inspired them.

But this is not focussing on surrogacy, but fashion & celebrity singer exposing her pregnancy bump? If we want to discuss surrogacy as a feminist issue there are plenty of OPs to be found that mention the words feminist and surrogacy. Just my take on it eurochick.

Why is this celebrity article on sex & gender board?
Because surrogacy is a feminist issue.

I don't think anything will reverse the surrogacy trend, if anything the celebrity culture (and generally women focusing on their careers until their late 30s/ early 40s) means the surrogacy and donor gametes industry is booming and will continue to grow.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine will barely make a dent in it and as the idea of same-sex male couples 'needing' surrogacy is being perpetuated by the media it's only going to gain popularity as a way of 'family building'.
