A hospital told the police that a patient could not have been raped because her alleged attacker was trans, the House of Lords has heard.

The attack took place a year ago and the woman reported it but when officers contacted the hospital, which has not been named, they were told “that there was no male in the hospital, therefore the rape could not have happened”.

Baroness Nicholson of Winterbourne, who raised the issue during a debate on single-sex wards, continued: “They forgot that there was CCTV, nurses and observers.

“None the less, it has taken nearly a year for the hospital to agree that there was a male on the ward and, yes, this rape happened.

The glaring and hideous part that stands out to me on this is that the NHS have a Policy (and are enacting it) to bare faced lie to patients.

Why the hell should the NHS be in receipt of tax money from women when they do this, when they seemingly view women as so sub human and inferior that they don't deem their need for safety, privacy and dignity legitimate? Still happy to trouser the money they take in taxes from these inferior being though. Disgusting.

@ScrollingLeaves

NB Lord Etherton points out that for a man to be treated as a woman (including, as we have seen on this thread, being allowed on a women’s ward) “It will be sufficient, for example, if they had adopted attributes of a different sex, such as name, dress or hair, in their intended process of transition”

What has it come to that attributes of a different sex such as hair style. dress or hair legally trump and cancel the actual attributes pertaining to sex?

I'd love to see their chart of acceptable hairstyles etc.

@Datun

As Ben Cooper pointed out in court yesterday, people who NAMALT in response to rape victims are MRAs.

Everyone knows it, it's not exactly a secret.

The exact moment I stopped giving Mark Plant any consideration at all. I'd been uneasy about his casual sideswipes at MF and realised that he possibly thought this was OK as a defence of CGD but the moment he came out with MRA battle colours…

Plant merits no further consideration.

NB: was it MP or MA who affected to disdain Prof Stock's competence with statistics?

Deliriumoftheendless · 19/03/2022 13:42

Joss probably hasn’t been contacted by the victim but it’s given Joss a delicious chance to say what they’d love to say to a woman who has experienced rape.

Slow hand clap.

allmywhat · 19/03/2022 13:34

Very odd lie for Prior to tell though. What would be the motivation? Is they planning to claim they’ve “proved” the victim to be lying?

Oh, right, they just wants attention. Never mind.

Nnique · 19/03/2022 13:13

Quite.

Again, to use the sort of language one side likes so much, once a penis person, always a penis person.

StellaAndCrow · 19/03/2022 13:07

I don't want men in single sex spaces whether they've got a penis or not.

“Joss Prior🌈 Pleasant to a fault. 🌈

And I will still die on that hill, if it turned out to be legit.

Because it has fuck all to do with trans rights, and everything to do with the perpetrator, and anyone who doesnt get that, can fuck off, Im not interested.”

What is has to do with is the perpetrator, a male with a penis, being in a women’s ward, where he would not have been had he not been classed as a woman.

This is all to do with demanding that women’s rights for safety and privacy should not to be trumped by trans rights.

There is in law no such thing as a hate crime against women, but Joss Prior’s tweets about the raped woman who purportedly wrote to him are an example of what it looks like.

Datun · 19/03/2022 12:57

Yes, as other people have pointed out, this ideology results in people defending rapists, cheats, voyeurs, sex offenders, losers and weirdos.

Good of them to set out their stall so blatantly, so we can all see what they're trying to sell.

VestofAbsurdity · 19/03/2022 12:53

There have been more people murdered by trans women in the UK than murders of trans women. Obviously all murder is wrong but trans women are not facing the very exact same issues from misogyny as all of us

@Tristine care to address this point?

Furries · 19/03/2022 12:49

Their Twitter account is hilarious. They seem to spend most of the time ranting away to themselves - not much interaction from others. I call total BS that they’ve been contacted by the real victim. Still, good to see that they’re willing to put in black and white how they’d respond to a rape victim.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/03/2022 12:45

I doubt many people outside of MN, TRA Twitter or maybe Kiwi Farms would have any knowledge of Prior.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 19/03/2022 12:43

The hospital story shared by Baroness Nicholson has resulted in somebody claiming to be the victim contacting me.

Of course. Right you are.

Rainbowshit · 19/03/2022 12:43

Joss Prior's Twitter says "pleasant to a fault" 🤔

Not very pleasant to brand a rape victim transphobic and homophobic for wanting justice and to prevent it happening to other women now is it.

KimikosNightmare · 19/03/2022 12:37

In the sane year this event happend 2021.
This was also the highest number of murdered (375) trans women

And yet I don't hear anything on the news or in the house of lords

Why on earth would the House of Lords give time to this?

There have been more people murdered by trans women in the UK than murders of trans women. Obviously all murder is wrong but trans women are not facing "the very exact same issues from misogyny as all of us"

Tbh, I had a go at them, for going to a fucking transphobe and homophobe to weaponise it against my community that also has lots of survivors."

Helpful to evidence that (as usual) women aren't making this stuff up, this is exactly the attitude they're describing.
EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 19/03/2022 12:28

@unwashedanddazed

I sincerely hope the victim hasn't contacted Prior. She has no need to prove herself to anyone. And no good at all can come from engaging with such a cruel person.
It's an unaccountably action for someone to have contacted JP on this matter.

How very punctilious of JP not to give screenshots so I will assign some recognition of the delicacy involved there although I'm surprised at some aspects of this convenient narrative.

Charley50 · 19/03/2022 12:21

And how dare TRAs claim to feel like women, when they do blatantly could not give one shit about us.

DottyHarmer · 19/03/2022 12:21

Years ago the “transvestites” in a major European city were a tourist sight. It amazed me that they retained their male paraphernalia which they showed to passing trade, as well as having massive boob jobs. They were all South American.

But the bottom line (pun intended) was that they were prostitutes . Of course any sex worker - woman/rent boy - is very vulnerable to attack and murder. Transwomen aren’t in their own special category here, with “regular” prostitutes doing just fine. It is a dangerous job for anyone, and South America is a violent place in comparison with Europe.

I wonder how many murders of females , prostitutes or otherwise, there are in Brazil? Hmmm?

Theeyeballsinthefuckingsky · 19/03/2022 12:21

Ah the right side of history

I call complete and utter BS. Why on earth would a rape victim contact prior? How would they even know who prior is? I mean their not exactly well known despite what they might think

Charley50 · 19/03/2022 12:21

This scandal should be all over mainstream media, but of course it isn't. Half the population, half the taxpayers, all the mothers and daughters of this country, are being so badly let down it's unreal. The BBC, as the national broadcaster, should be sued, for their bias against women and girls. It might never have got this bad without their complicity. And don't get me started on their grooming of children into this fucked up ideology, which only serves to benefit men and the medical industry.

For those saying that the Baroness is not telling the truth/misleading theHoL - I assume that you’ve raised your concerns via appropriate channels. Or are you only willing to state your views on an anonymous forum?
